Rebellion Blocks Healing

There are no two ways about it, rebellion blocks healing from manifesting. And should we even be surprised by such a statement? One would think not, but the lifestyle of so many Christians would cause one to think otherwise. In the Bible God equates rebellion to witchcraft, see 1 Samuel 15:23. And it’s a serious offense to God.

Let’s say there is a Christian man with a weak back that causes great pain and strain on his physical body. He steps forward to be ministered to in a healing line, but healing doesn’t happen. And when given the chance to examine his private life we see that he neglects his wife, turns a deaf ear to her, and is non-supportive to her needs.

What does the Bible say about how men are to treat their wives? “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” Ephesians 5:25. The famous love chapter in 1 Corinthian 13:4-8 describes its attributes as follows, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.”

According to 1 Peter 3:7, husbands need to be extra careful how they treat their wives, because mistreatment of them will hinder your prayers from being answered. “Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.” When a man mistreats his wife, he feels guilty and cannot go to the throne of grace with confidence before God to make his requests known. “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16.

And therefore, the Christian man that is in need of healing for his spine does not receive it because he is rebellious towards God by not being a support to his wife, like his spine is to physical body. And rebellion of any kind blocks healing from manifesting.
