31 Identity Scriptures to Help You Overcome a Wounded Spirit
To help you heal from a wounded soul (mind and emotions) I have gathered together 31 Scriptures about who God says you are. I encourage you to read through these Scriptures daily. And even take it a step further, choose one Scripture from this list each day and pray to the Holy Spirit to help you to believe what God’s Word says about you and your identity in Jesus. Renew your mind with these 31 identity Scriptures and allow the power of His Word to heal you mind and emotions as you learn to believe who God says you are.
- I am created in His image.
Genesis 1:27 (NLT) So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.
2. I am a new creation.
2 Corinthians 5:17 (ISV) Therefore, if anyone is in the Messiah, he is a new creation. Old things have disappeared, and—look!—all things have become new!
3. I am God’s masterpiece.
Ephesians 2:10 (ISV) For we are God’s masterpiece, created in the Messiah Jesus to perform good actions that God prepared long ago to be our way of life.
4. I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Psalm 139:14 (NKJV) I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.
5. I am loved by God.
1 John 4:16 (NIV) And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.
6. I am valuable.

7. I am more than a conqueror.

9. I am redeemed.
Ephesians 1:7 (KJV) In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
10. I am healed.
Isaiah 53:5 (KJV) But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

14. I am protected.

15. I am capable.
Philippians 4:13 (NIV) I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
16. I am chosen, holy and beloved by God.
Colossians 3:12 (NASB) So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
17. I am the work of God’s hand.
Isaiah 64:8 (NKJV) But now, O Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand.
18. I am a child of God.
1 John 3:1 (NKJV) Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
19. I am rescued from the kingdom of darkness.
Colossians 1:13 (NLT) For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son.
20. My life is hidden with Christ.
Colossians 3:3 (NLT) For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.
21. I am stamped with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit.

22. I am blessed with all spiritual blessings.

23. I am a fellow citizen with the saints, and of the household of God, and I have spiritual rights.

24. I am saved by faith in God’s grace.
Ephesians 2:8 (TPT) For by grace you have been saved by faith. Nothing you did could ever earn this salvation, for it was the love gift from God that brought us to Christ!

John 15:14 (GW) You are my friends if you obey my commandments.
26. I am a living letter written by Christ.

28. I am an overcomer.
