The prayer of faith works against cancer. Let me share with you a testimony from one of my students. It will bless and encourage you in the faith to believe in the healing power of Jesus.
“Becky, my husband was given a diagnosis of blood cancer and was sent to a cancer center in Lexington, Kentucky for further testing. while there he and I both felt a strong presence of the spirit of death and just wanted to leave as quickly as possible. We were not fearful, but just felt we were not supposed to be there. Neither of us have ever felt a strong presence like this before.
My husband and I both felt completely uncomfortable as though a principality was there. And I don’t fully understand this area. And we have not experienced this type of feeling before.
Even while sitting in the doctor’s office just by Ourselves, we were still feeling Like we just needed to leave.
Through your teachings, we knew to not come into agreement with that diagnosis and had renounced the spirit of death over my husband. The doctor came in and told my husband they did not know what had happened, but his tests are no longer showing positive for that diagnosis. And he does not need to do any further follow up.
Praise God he is so good. We are so thankful.”
Some would have us believe that God has left us stranded in the middle of nowhere, with little help offered by Him. But this is not the character or nature of our God. He’s the opposite. He has bequeathed to us a spiritual medical chest full of supplies to help us in our every time of need. No matter the situation or how bad the medical report is, He’s supplied us with a complete medical healing kit, including the basic first aid supplies for spirit, soul, and body–the name of Jesus and the power of His blood. And right next to these basic supplies is a packet called Faith, with an instruction booklet on how to open the special seal:
- In order to open this specially sealed faith packet you must first believe.
Mark 11:22-24, (NKJV) says it like this, “So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”
2. Beliefs are voice activated–open your mouth and speak words of faith.
One of the foundational verses in the Bible about the power of our words is found in Proverbs 18:21, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it .” (AMPC).
3. Then act upon the words you speak.
James 2:17, (AMPC) clearly explains the reason why we must act upon our faith, and in this case our words of faith. “So also faith, if it does not have works (deeds and actions of obedience to back it up), by itself is destitute of power (inoperative, dead).”
And I want to close with a prayer of faith for you from my book, “Decrees that HEAL” found on page 28.
Father God,
Right now, in the name of Jesus, I renounce this sickness and this disease attacking these people. I pray in faith, believing without wavering with doubt and unbelief that You have already released the power of Your blood to heal each one reading this prayer of faith. By Your stripes, those healing whips You bore upon Your back to purchase healing for all, were not in vain, but their healings manifest fully, leaving nothing undone. All this I pray for the glory of the Lord, amen.
