How do we receive healing from God’s Word? To receive healing from His Word, we must center on His healing promises. As we do, hope for healing grows within our heart, and so does our faith increase.
We must read and study and keep on studying the Word of God concerning healing until the Word becomes more real to us than our present situation. We must consume ourselves with the Word so that it speaks louder than the pain, the symptoms, or any negative report. Along with reading and studying God’s Word, I believe that praying and fasting over the Word will open our hearts to receive revelation and understanding by the Holy Spirit concerning His will and desire and capability to heal us. He desires for us to understand how to activate His Word in our lives. And once we receive our healings, we need to continue to study the healing Scriptures and learn to speak words of health and life over ourselves so that we can live sustained lives of divine health.
The Bible itself says, “My son, give attention to My words, incline your ear to My sayings” (Prov. 4:20) and “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God” (Rom. 10:17).
My son, pay attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. They are not to escape from your sight; Keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their body. Proverbs 4:20-22, (NASB).
God’s Word is not just ancient words printed on a page, but according to Hebrews 4:12 “The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart, (KJV).
Whether you need spiritual healing, healing of the mind and emotions, or physical healing, His healing promises are written for you to consume and live by. God bless you in your healing journey with Jesus and His Word.
