Three Gifts Jesus Wants From You
Did you know that there are three gifts Jesus wants from you? Let’s look at these three gifts. As we look to the Scritpures concerning these gifts I pray this Christmas season that you will give Jesus the gifts due Him. We read in the story of Jesus about the gifts of the Magi and how they honored Him with these costly gifts, but we too need to honor our Lord with these same gifts. Let’s read on.
Just as the Wisemen gave many gifts to Him, God considers three most important to Him. What are these gifts? The answer is found in Matthew 2:11, “And after they came into the house, they saw the Child with His mother Mary; and they fell down and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented to Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.”
Gold was a gift given to a king, and the Magi had the revelation that this child was the King of kings, and the Lord of lords. And we are to present to Him a golden gift, our pure belief that He is who He says that He is.
That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen. 1 Timothy 6:14-16, (KJV).
The next gift they gave was frankincense. And this was a gift for a priest. And these wisemen knew that He was the High Priest, and like them we are to give a very costly gift with a sweet-smelling aroma, our prayers of faith. Hebrews 4:14-16, (KJV) says it this way, “Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Revelation 8:3-4 from the Amplified version of the Bible describes our prayers of faith in this manner, “And another angel came and stood over the altar. He had a golden censer, and he was given very much incense (fragrant spices and gums which exhale perfume when burned), that he might mingle it with the prayers of all the people of God (the saints) upon the golden altar before the throne. And the smoke of the incense (the perfume) arose in the presence of God, with the prayers of the people of God (the saints), from the hand of the angel.” So, while in prayer, keep these Scriptures in your mind and pray from your heart to Jesus our High Priest, and offer up to Him your spiritual gift of frankincense and boldly pray those prayers of faith and bless Him, and create that sweet-smelling aroma that He so craves from His people.
And then they prophetically honored Him with a gift of myrrh. This rare and costly gift was given to a king to use at his death and burial to embalm his body. How can we spiritually gift Him with myrrh? Jesus came to this earth to redeem people from their sins, and in order to do so, He had to offer up His physical body as a supreme sacrifice for our sins. He had to die to in our place, and He did. And to honor Him with this precious gift of myrrh we need to recognize Him as our Savior, our Redeemer. Romans 10:9, (NKJV) instructs us like this, “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Let’s do this now.
Dearest Jesus, I do believe that You are who You say that You are. I believe that You came to this earth to save me from my sins. I believe that You suffered and died and rose again from the dead for me. I ask You to forgive me of all my sins, all my sinful thoughts, words and deeds. I thank You for loving and accepting me just as I am. I ask You to be my Savior, to save me from all my sins. In Your precious name I pray, amen.
This is so real true and loving thank you our beloved everything our king of kings our God our Jesus Christ of Nazareth our Savior our all ♥️♥️♥️
AMEN and AMEN!
