Magnify God, Not the Sickness

When it comes to a stubborn sickness that does not want to let go, we need to make sure we turn our focus on God’s promise to heal and not on the sickness. We have to purpose in our heart to magnify God with our words and actions and not the symptoms.

Why? Because when we magnify something, we enlarge it visually so we can clearly see the minute details. How do we magnify sickness? We do so with our spoken words, and even with our moans and groans. In a way, it is a form of praise that empowers the sickness to reign over our mortal bodies.

Instead of giving strength to the sickness attacking our body, we should magnify the Creator, and Healer of our body, Jesus Christ. Taking hold of our confession of our faith, purposefully declare the promises of God that activate His healing power in our physical body.

No matter how bad the situation appears, speak words of healing such as; “I believe in the healing power of the blood of Jesus, and by His sufferings at the whipping post, I am healed.” And continue on to declare His healing promises, “According to Genesis 1:28, I have been given dominion over every living creature, including sickness and disease which are tiny, microscopic living organisms that move. But I will no longer magnify them with my words and actions, but I will exercise my God given authority over them, (see Luke 10:19) and dominate and subdue them in Jesus’ name.

I choose to honor God and boldly speak forth that Jesus is Lord of my body, not this sickness. I surrender to Jesus, and not these symptoms. I magnify the greatness of my Messiah, Yeshua and meditate on His goodness, His promise to heal in spirit, soul, and in body. I will magnify God, and not sickness, disease, or symptoms this day, and forevermore, amen.”

In Jesus’ name, I renounce this cancer and a spirit of fear attacking you, Mary. I command in the name of Jesus, all cancerous cells and cysts in your breast die off at their seed and dry up at their root and be supernaturally eliminated from your body, never to return or spread to other parts of your body. I speak to every cell, tissue, organ and system in your body to align with the Word of God that declares by His stripes you are healed and made whole, all for the glory of the lord, amen.

    Amen! Thank you Becky (:

  • Thank you so much Becky. It’s midnight and I was scrolling my email when I saw this statement In my inbox. God always sends the right word at the right moment. It really resonated with me as I have been in Physical Therapy for my knees. I injured them falling over, of all things, my Client’s walker in the dark. I know God is the “God that healeth me”, that “Healing is the children’s bread”, that “No weapon formed against me shall prosper”, and that the blood of Jesus was shed not only for my salvation but it includes healing as well. Your word got my attention because even though I have been quoting healing Scriptures…”He was wounded for my transgressions, He was bruised for my iniquities…” and others, on occasion I have moaned because the pain has been so acute. Thank you again because I purpose in my heart to give no place to the devil, but to glorify God in the midst of the pain, and instead of moaning or groaning, cry out JESUS!!!

Your encouraging words are always on point, Truth, and powerful. Thank you for always giving to us and sharing with us. God bless you Becky Dvorak!

  • I especially loved the emphasis on speaking life, healing, and God’s promises over our situation even when symptoms try to speak louder. Faith does not deny the struggle, but it refuses to let the struggle have the final word. Thank you for this encouraging and faith-filled message.

  • That is encouragement because fighting sickness seems so hard at times. Never thought about moans & groans being a form of praise for the creature that caused it, but it makes perfect sense. Thanks for that, l really do work at keeping my words in the realm of fighting what is attacking me.
It can be a real strengthening for us in the battle.

It was the Holy Spirit that taught me about moaning and groaning. I, like everyone else, have to watch my words and make sure I am not moaning or groaning about anything.
