What Do I Mean By Christian?

What do I mean when I tell you that I am a Christian? Am I telling you that I am religious? No, I am not. Religion is made up of lists of rules and regulations that people struggle with to achieve. And it is more about pleasing others, than pleasing the heart of the Father. If, I am not religious, then what am I? And what do I mean when I say to you that I am a Christian?

When I say that I am a Christian, I identify myself with Jesus Christ. I acknowledge to others that I have made a choice to follow after His ways.  I humble myself before Him and the darkness of my sin was exposed, and overtaken by His light. No longer do I carry the heavy chains of bondage to sin, nor do I bear the consequences of sin. These chains were broken, and I am free forever. My spirit is new in Him.

As a Christian, I bear the image of Jesus Christ, as He is so am I in this world. By the power of His redeeming blood, I wear His rich robes of righteousness, and the power in His redeeming blood gives to me the ability to make possible out of impossible situations. I wear a clean turban upon my head, I have the mind of Christ, and His Spirit gives to me the revelation knowledge needed for every situation that I face. I have access to unlimited supernatural resources to meet all my needs. And in Him there is no lack.

And as I dare to believe and put my faith in Christ into action, my enemy, satan must bow to my command. He may attempt to throw sickness and disease and other accursed things towards me, but the Spirit of the Living Word within me, gives me the authority to say no, and to cast these things far from me.

And it is the Living Word that graces me to be able to speak life to the dead, sight to the blind, open deaf ears, unleash the paralytic, and release healing and miracles to the sick and oppressed.

Regardless of the image that satan has falsely projected to the world about Christians, I am not a bumbling, idiotic fool. I am clothed in the glory and honor of Christ. And I am not ashamed to be called a Christian!

Build a Wall of Protection Over Yourself with Your Words

“Build a Wall of Protection Over Yourself with Your Words”.  Wow, what a title! The world is on fire, filled with the negative powers of satan being released by the ungodly use of words against one another. But as followers of Jesus, we do not need to settle for this.

According to the Scriptures, your tongue is full and overflowing with supernatural power. And this power is unleashed every time you open your mouth to speak. Spend a few moments and contemplate the following.

Spoken words are very important; in essence, they dictate the direction of your life. So, choose them wisely. They can be a positive or negative influence, cause others to feel good or bad, happy or sad, they encourage or discourage, promote peace or hostility, they build up or tear down, heal or hurt, they create or destroy, they can also build a wall of protection around yourself, family, and situation you face.

So, let’s build a wall of protection over yourself with your words and begin to speak these declarations of faith from God’s Word. “No weapon formed against me, my family, and the situations I face shall prosper, no evil will come near my dwelling, and every lying tongue set on fire against me shall be silenced, exposed, and brought to shame in Jesus’ name, amen.

Be Strong and Courageous Prophetic Word

The Word of the Lord to you this day, July 23, 2024.

I, the Lord Jesus would say to you this day, “Be strong and courageous, be not afraid, or dismayed for I the Lord God am with you. But I say to you to be on the alert for your enemy, that serpent of old will try to steal from the people of this nation once again. He is deceptive and conniving, but I gave to you the mind of Christ, and you have the written Word. Take it, hide it deep within your heart, ponder upon it, speak it out, and act upon My Word. For My Word gives life to the hearer. And you will need to be life-givers, for the people of this nation, including My people who are called by My name are wearing down. But I say to you, “Arise with the power of My might. For I will lead you and guide you through this time of turmoil. And if you will fight the good fight of faith, not give in to the deception of the devil, but stand for truth, justice will prevail.”

I have not called My people to fail, but to rule and to reign over the darkness of this earth. Within each of you, My people is My light. Take and shine My light to the darkest corners of this earth, and throughout this nation. For truly there is a great force of darkness flooding this earth, but even still, take heart, do not be discouraged or dismayed, for I the Lord, your God am with you wherever you go. And hold steadfast to My promise, “Greater, am I in you, that he, satan who is in this world.”  For I have not called you to fight this battle within your own strength, but with the power of My might. Thus, sayeth the Lord, your God to you this day.

7 Steps to Get Ready for Jesus’ Return

How do we prepare ourselves?

  1. Make sure you are in right standing with Jesus Christ.  Romans 10:9 tells us, “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. “
  2. Forgive and be forgiven. Matthew 6:14-15 makes it plain, “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.  But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. “
  3. Be about your Heavenly Father’s business and win people to Jesus. Mark 16: 15-16 tells us what His business is, And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.  He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.”  1 Corinthians 9:19 Paul unselfishly writes from his heart, “Though I am free of obligation to anyone, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible.” And Proverbs 11:30 tells us what type of person cares enough to evangelize the lost, “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who is wise wins souls.” Mark 16:17-18 instructs us how God wants us to evangelize, “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
  4. Be empowered with the Holy Spirit for the task ahead of us. Zechariah 4:6 gives words of wisdom how to accomplish the Father’s business, “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty. Acts 1:8 tells us how we will be empowered, But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
  5. Encourage yourself spiritually and learn to operate in the prophetic. “He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.” 1 Corinthians 14:4.
  6. Study the Word of God, Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15.
  7. And my final point, live like you believe. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. “ James 1:22-25.

If we will put these 7 steps of faith into action, we will be ready for Jesus’ return.

Faith Is Your Direct Line to Jesus

Do you need to get a hold of Jesus? Do you feel frustrated because it seems like He is out of your reach? Did you realize that there is a way to connect with Him? It’s by faith, and it’s your faith that grabs hold of His undivided attention. Faith is your contact point with God. Even if you think your faith is little faith, all it takes is faith the size of a mustard seed and the mountains will move. Jesus says, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you,” Matthew 17:20. Faith is your direct line to Jesus.

Faith is all about trust and trusting in the right things in life. Proverbs 3:5-6, says it like this, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Mark 11:22–24, has this to say about faith, and who to have faith in. “And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”

Faith is so pleasing to God, that it stops all of heaven, so to speak. It grabs His attention and causes Him to stop and hear your plea. There isn’t anything more pleasing to Him then to hear you speak to Him in His language–faith. Let’s consider this throughout the story of Moses and the Israelites, there was only one, Moses and multitudes of Israelites, and it was the faith of Moses that caused God to move on the behalf of the people. They all whined and complained because things weren’t happening like they were accustomed to seeing them happening from day-to-day. But God desired His people to trust Him, and He sort of pulled the rug out from under them time and time again and did things in a new and supernatural way. Consider all the ways He met their needs, He led them by a cloud by day, a pillar of fire in the night, He rained down fresh bread every morning, and sent them fresh meat to eat too. He gave them water from a rock. As they wandered in the desert for 40 years, their shoes did not wear out, neither did their clothes. He made a way of escape for them by parting the red sea. The list of supernatural ways God supplied for them is amazing. If it weren’t for Moses faith to lead them, I’m not sure what would or would not have happened, but Moses learned to trust in God and in all His ways, and so should we.

So whatever danger you are facing, whatever obstacle is standing in your way, or whatever the need is you have a unique way to connect with God–your faith. And in the beginning your faith may seem insignificant, but the more you exercise it the stronger and more powerful it becomes. So go ahead, trust God, and not your feelings or human reasoning or scientific findings, boldly trust God. The bolder the faith in Him, the quicker you captured His attention.

Faith doesn’t bawl and squall about what it doesn’t have or doesn’t see, that’s not faith, that’s doubt and unbelief, and that does not get His attention, nor is it well-pleasing to Him. Faith goes boldly before His throne of grace, it calls things that are not, as though they are already done. It trusts in God, and not in circumstances, or in the ways and wisdom of the world, but only in God. Remember, whenever you need to get a hold of Jesus faith is your direct line to Him.

Father God,

We can see how we have missed it in the area of faith time and time again. But we desire to make the necessary changes in our lives, no matter how difficult it is, we will put our trust in You, and only in You from this day forward, in Jesus’ mighty name we pray, amen and amen.

Waiting for the Full Manifestation

I would recommend to this person to listen very carefully to what they are actually speaking when they are with people of likeminded faith, what are they speaking when they are with people that have no teaching or understanding of divine healing, and what are they speaking when they are alone. Our Words have power to create or to destroy. Proverbs 18:21 – “There is the power of LIFE and DEATH in the tongue.” If someone says, “I am so sick and tired of this…” Then they will be sick and tired. If someone says, “I can’t handle this anymore.” Then the situation will be out of their control. If someone says, “It hurts so much.” Then it is going to hurt and hurt much. If someone says, “I don’t ever receive the full manifestation.” Then they won’t receive it. As difficult as it all may sound, our words literally control our life.

I would encourage them to examine their life for any area of sin that has not been dealt with and repent and move forward. Check especially for strife and bitterness and then forgive. They need to forgive those that have wronged them. These things will cause them to falter in their confidence when they go before God and make their requests known to Him. (1 John 5:14-15) But as I taught in a previous post on August 9, 2011; “Getting Worse and Not Better”, God is not with holding healing from us. He already paid the price for our healing when He offered His back to be whipped to redeem healing for us. (Isaiah 53:4-5) Therefore, the hindrance to receiving the full manifestation is within us.

We need to learn to overcome the realm of our 5 senses like Abraham did. (Read Romans 4:12-25.) Personal example of overcoming the realm of the 5 senses: My knee was rubbing bone upon bone. My senses were telling me to go and seek medical help. It was swollen, I could feel the bones scraping one another, others could hear it scraping, it was very painful, and difficult to walk, but I chose to put my faith into action. I continued to declare that my knee was recreated in the name of Jesus. I spoke to the knee and told it to be recreated. I didn’t even give myself the pleasure of letting out a moan. I refused to focus on my 5 senses and in human reasoning and spoke only the Word and I continued about my daily business. When asked by others about my knee, I responded with words of what I desired and not what I had. “In Jesus’ name I AM healed.” And within a few days I had received the full manifestation of a brand-new knee!

Renewing the mind by reading the Word of God is a must in any battle. There have been times in my life when I have had to force myself to focus on the Word because what was in front of me was very strong, stubborn, painful, or looked impossible, but I choose to read the Word until it became more real to me than symptoms and human reasoning. I would read the Word until I fell asleep and if I woke up again, I would reread until I fell asleep again, I would actually dream the Word, and see and hear myself speaking the Word.(Romans 10:17) I had to overcome the battle in my mind. The physical realm was screaming symptoms and pain, and my spirit was telling me to ignore the symptoms, believe God’s Word and put my faith into action according to the Word. It was a battle, but I had the victory and received the full manifestation by fixing my eyes on the Word of God.

The Power of the Spoken Word Scriptures

  15. Do not let unwholesome [foul, profane, worthless, vulgar] words ever come out of your mouth, but only such speech as is good for building up others, according to the need and the occasion, so that it will be a blessing to those who hear [you speak]. Ephesians 4:29, (AMP).
  16. The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. Proverbs 10:11, (KJV).

  24. But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent (muzzled, gagged) and come out of him!” And when the demon had thrown the man down among them, he came out of him without injuring him in any way. They were all astonished and in awe, and began saying to one another, “What is this message? For with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits and they come out!” Luke 4:35-36, (AMP).
  25. Standing at her bedside he spoke to the fever, rebuking it, and immediately her temperature returned to normal, and she got up and prepared a meal for them! Luke 4:39, (TLB).

  27. When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. Luke 5:4-6, (NKJV).

Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. Acts 2:17-18, (NIV).

The Language of Healing

If you say on a consistent basis that you are sick and tired. Guess what? You will be sick and tired.

If you tell your child that he or she will never amount to anything. Guess what? You destroy their self-esteem, and steal their confidence, and they won’t amount to anything. Because children want to please their parents and you set a very low goal before your child to meet.

If you say over and over again about yourself that you are just a poor man or a woman. Guess what? You curse yourself with your own words, and eventually your heart will believe what you say, and you will act upon those negative and faithless words. And you will never seem to have enough to make ends meet.

And it is the same with healing too. If you consistently speak pain, sickness and death, you strengthen the very thing that you desire to be free from, because you curse your own body with the power of your spoken words.

But the language of healing is very bold and radical in nature. It does not allow for one word of unbelief to be taken in or spoken. It will not tolerate doubt. It will not dwell on or consider the word impossible!

This vocabulary is birthed from time spent with the Holy Spirit and His Word. The more it is spoken on a consistent basis, the more it produces. And it will eventually lead us to the time frame of the instant, where miracles transform.

Here are some basic examples of the healing language. Take these examples and fashion them to your healing needs.

I am healed in the name of Jesus.

I am cancer free in Jesus’ name.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

I can walk in Jesus’ name.

I will live in Jesus’ name.

I will fulfill my destiny in Jesus’ name.

I will not die prematurely in Jesus’ name.

In the name of Jesus, I will not be bound to this wheelchair.

I rebuke the spirit of death over my body in the name of Jesus.

I rebuke this pain and swelling in my body in the name of Jesus.

I command my knee to be recreated in the mighty name of Jesus.

If we will activate the supernatural power of faith-filled words, eventually our hearts will believe what we say and as a result, our healing will manifest. So yes, healing has a language. Learn it, speak it consistently and be healed.

Healing is the Restart Button

Healing is a restart button and by faith we can hit this button, trust God to heal us in spirit, soul, and in the physical body. Let’s talk about how healing is the restart button.

Jesus says that the thief, the devil, comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy, see John 10:10a. And a couple of weapons that satan uses against us are called sickness and disease. That’s right, sickness and disease steal joy, finances, and the future from us. They not only kill the human body, but they also kill hopes and dreams. They cause such havoc upon relationships that close relationships are often destroyed by the stress of it all. They also destroy such things in our lives such as our witness of a loving and faithful God, and a peaceful state-of-being. This is the reality of so many lives afflicted by sickness and disease, but we do not have to remain in the devil’s realm of chaos.

Jesus continues to speak to us in John 10:10b, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” We have a choice to make. Either we choose to stay in the realm of suffering with satan, or we choose to believe the words of Jesus, and align ourselves with the power of the Holy Spirit. And I encourage you to choose the latter and learn to believe and have faith to heal for yourself or for someone you care about.

I witness repeatedly that healing is like pressing the restart button to life. I was ministering in Zanesville, Ohio and so many received their healings and by their faith they hit this refresh button of faith, and their lives are beginning over again, without sickness and disease and all the pain and suffering it burdens them down with.

One husband and wife stood in front of me desiring to hit this refresh button of faith for their healing and they did, and they received the astounding miracles from God they so desired. The husband had suffered a stroke which left his left side paralyzed and his left eye completely blind. In an instant this man’s eye was opened and he cried out, “I can see again!” He and his wife were jumping for joy, and he cried out again that the paralysis is completely gone. This man was loosed from this heavy burden that satan had put upon him, and all that the enemy had stolen from him was restored.

What are you waiting for? Hit that restart button with your faith for healing and allow the healing power of the Lord to refresh, restore and restart your life over again for the glory of the Lord. Amen!
