This is Your Lifeline to Victory

The enemy wants you to doubt who you are in Christ, so he will tempt you to doubt your true identity. Don’t fall for it. This is your lifeline to victory.

Genesis 1:26-28

Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

You Feel Like You are Alone and Hopeless, but Are You?

You feel like you are alone and hopeless, but are you? Let’s turn to the Scriptures to see what God has to say about this matter. We read in Hebrews 13:5, the latter part of this verse, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” God is saying to you that He will never abandon you, never leave you without help. He is not going to leave you. You say, “Becky, you don’t understand my situation.” And perhaps I don’t, but I do know our Lord, and He is forever faithful and true. And if He says something, He means it.

Perhaps, you or your loved one are lying on a bed of sickness, and the medical report says this is a hopeless situation. For them it might be, but not for our God.  Jesus says in Matthew 19:26, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

The Prophet Isaiah asks us a very pertinent question, “Whose report will you believe?” (See Is. 53:1.) And I ask you the same questions, “Are you going to believe that hopeless medical report? Or are you going to choose to trust God and in His willingness and ability to heal?”

We read about a man covered with leprosy, and if you do not understand this disease, back in the days of Jesus it was deadly, and highly contagious. It not only was a killer, but it was filled with shame for the one infected, and they were sent to the leper colonies, away from family and friends. So, yes this man we are about to read about in Luke 5:12-13 was lonely as well. Let’s read his account from the Amplified version of the Bible.

While Jesus was in one of the cities, there came a man covered with [an advanced case of] leprosy; and when he saw Jesus, he fell on his face and begged Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean and well.” And Jesus reached out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” And immediately the leprosy left him.

If you are in a tough situation, you’ve been told there’s no hope, there isn’t anything anyone can do, then it’s time to turn to Jesus—your Healer. You say, “I’ve been there and done that, and nothing changed.” Then return to Him, and do it again, but this time do it the way He says to do it—in faith. Jesus says to the woman healed of the issue of blood in Luke 8:38, And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace.”

I have taught you about this woman before, and I have shared that in her situation she was considered dirty, and she too, like the leprous man was made to feel shameful, and was alone, and felt lonely. But she heard the good news about a healer—Jesus. She humbly went to him, reached out and touched Him, and His healing power went through her and she was healed. And Jesus told her that her faith made her well.

You might be thinking to yourself right now, “Is Becky suggesting that I lack faith for my healing?” No, that’s not where I am going in this word of encouragement, but what I am addressing is the fact that you are in a difficult situation, and you are not alone, there is always hope, and your hope is Jesus. Exercise your faith, reach out and grab ahold of His healing power, be free from loneliness and hopelessness and be healed—by faith.

How to Respond to satan’s Lies about You

I want to share with you from the Holy Scriptures about what God thinks of you. Why? Because God’s people are under attack by the enemy day and night. The devil is constantly chipping away at our identity in Christ to bring us down, so we do not fulfill our destinies. But instead of listening to his lies, it’s time to turn the tables around, wear him out with the promises of God’s Word. Let’s get started.

God warns us in His Word that the enemy is the accuser of the brethren, (Rev. 12:10). Unfortunately, he’s good at making people feel bad about themselves. But let’s shine the Spirit of Revelation on these types of lies. God says that “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace (Eph. 1:7). He also assures us in Second Corinthians 5:21, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” So, the next time the enemy whispers his nasty lies to you, you respond aloud and say, “I am redeemed and forgiven, those things are in the past, and I have become new in Christ Jesus.”

Another lie of the devil is that God does not love us, He can’t love us because of what we’ve done. How should we respond biblically to this emotional abuse? “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),” (Eph. 2:4-5). And the Lord wants our inner man to be strengthened by His Spirit, “that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. (Eph. 3:17-19). We wear down the devil’s verbal tactics when we stand up against him and declare God truth, “I have been saved by God’s mercy and grace. And Christ dwells in my heart, and I am grounded and rooted in His love.”

When the enemy tears you down and says you are not important, you don’t matter, or that you are worthless. You turn that devil upside down and confidently declare by faith, “I am fearfully and wonderfully made” (Ps. 139:14b), “I was bought with a price” (1Cor. 6:20), “The Son of God, loves me and gave Himself for me.” (See Gal. 2:20.) And “Precious are His thoughts towards me”, (Ps. 139: 17).

This is how we are to respond to satan’s lies against us, by wearing him down with God’s Word.

Urgent! I Need Help to Believe.

The people of this earth are in turmoil, so much has happened, and continues to happen around us. It’s been one crisis after another without time to process, rest and regain their strength. People are crying, weeping for the loss of what once was, what they once had, and more importantly the for the people they have lost. And the pileup of grievous events has caused many to grow weak in the faith to believe the promises found in God’s Word.

I receive many prayer requests, and this one arrives today, “Please pray that I may have the strength to believe God’s word once again, I’m tired of wallowing in unbelief and doubt, but I just can’t seem to bring myself to believe what I read.” As I read this, I can’t help but think this is someone that has been beaten down by the enemy, the devil, and they are worn down, and need a refreshing. And this plea for spiritual help is not rare, but now common. And if you are in this situation, I want to share with you what I share with this individual.

I’m not sure all that has happened to you, nor do I need to know, but I do know this that the Lord will hear when you cry out to Him. He loves you with an everlasting love, and when you feel weak, He remains strong. I pray for you for a renewal in your relationship with Jesus, that you will hunger and thirst for righteousness, and as you read the Bible, you will remember to ask Holy Spirit to lead you through the Scriptures, and that you will learn to allow Him to speak to you, teach you, lead you and guide you, and comfort you. Knowing that you are unique (PS. 139:13), you are precious (1 COR. 6:20), you are lovely (DAN. 12:3), and you are SPECIAL TO HIM TOO (EPH. 2:10). With a sincere heart ask Him right now to help you through this dry season in your life, and for Holy Spirit to refresh you, and bring joy back between the two of you.

Let’s pray together right now.

Father God,

In the name of Your precious Son, Jesus’, I ask for Your forgiveness for waiting for so long before reaching out for help. I don’t know exactly when things started to go sour between us, but I know that our relationship is not what it once was. And I desire our relationship to be healed and strengthened. Holy Spirit, lead me back to my Lord. Help me to fall back into love with You.

Holy Spirit, lead me and guide me as I read the Word. Help me to see the truth and the reality that is penned within the pages of the Scriptures. I long to see and to understand, and to walk in the power of Your word, in Your most holy name, I pray, Amen.

I believe as you continue to call out to the Lord with an honest plea about what’s going on in your soul, that barrier between you and God will start to come down, and that urgent cry for help to believe again will be answered. And with time spent in prayer and in the Word your faith will be strengthened once again.

The Good News about 2022 Going into 2023

We are in the last days of 2022, and about to go into the new year of 2023. People of this earth, both Christian and non-Christian have been through a lot, but the Noel, “Good News” is that Immanuel has been with us. He is faithful and true and will forever remain so. God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will he not make it good? (Numbers 23:19) I take great comfort, and so should you in the fact that our God is truthful. These past few years have been filled with lies and conflict and along with these lying and conflicting spirits a spirit of confusion has been released. But praise God we can go into 2023 with Immanuel and pour out His Spirit of Truth and be set free from the snares of the enemy.

He is the Rock, His work is perfect; for all His ways are justice, a God of truth and without injustice; righteous and upright is He, (DEUT. 32:4). And yes, He is our Rock, our firm foundation on which we stand, and during such shaky times, we do not have to be weakened, but can remain strong on His solid ways.

Pondering upon these two Scriptures I can see we have a choice to make. We can either focus on the truth and faithfulness of our God, or we can zero in on the lies and betrayal of the enemy against us. With this choice we can either enter into 2023 frustrated by the betrayal of 2022, or we can decide to believe the good news and stand upon the Rock, our Lord and trust in Immanuel’s faithfulness towards us. I choose the latter, and I pray you do to. Let’s pray.

Dear Father God,

You know how overwhelmed I have been during this past year of 2022, but I make the decision to not repeat this frustration in 2023. So, I ask You to forgive me for not believing in Your good report reported throughout Your Word for me. And I ask You, Holy Spirit to help me through this next year of 2023 to stand upon the foundation of Your truth and faithfulness. I desire to walk in the freedom Your truth provides me. I make a declaration of faith as I enter into 2023, that I know The Truth, and You set me free for Your great glory, in Jesus’ name I pray, amen and amen.

Christmas is the Beginning of Your Love Story

Christmas is the beginning of your love story with your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. And it started a long time ago in Bethlehem as the Holy Scriptures says in Luke 2:1-7, AMP, “Now in those days a decree went out from [the emperor] Caesar Augustus, that all the inhabited world (the Roman Empire) should be registered [in a census]. This was the first census taken while Quirinius was governor of Syria. And everyone went to register for the census, each to his own city.  So Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David, in order to register with Mary, who was betrothed to him, and was with child. While they were there [in Bethlehem], the time came for her to give birth, and she gave birth to her Son, her firstborn; and she wrapped Him in [swaddling] cloths and laid Him in a manger, because there was no [private] room for them in the inn.”

He loves you so much, that even with all of your imperfections He and Father God, and Holy Spirit came up with a plan called, “Redemption”. Ephesians 1:7, NKJV states that, “In Him we have redemption through His blood the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. The word redemption means a releasing or liberation effected or procured by payment of ransom. For us, the blood of Crist was the payment necessary for our salvation, deliverance and redemption.

Perhaps, you find yourself in a dark place, you think what you have done is so wicked where you feel unloved. But this is a lie that the enemy, satan wants you to believe, but don’t give that serpent of old the upper hand in your life. For you were bought with a high price that no one, or nothing could ever match. Let’s read the following portion of Scripture from 1John 1:9, AMP. “If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises] and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose]. No matter how sinful you have been, God still loves you. He does not like the evil you have done, but He still loves you. His love is truly unconditional.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved, John 3:17.

If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved, Romans 10:9.

No matter who you are, where you are at, no matter what you have done God is birthing a love story in your heart. It’s an eternal love story that begins with you, a belief within your heart that He is who He says that He is, the Son of God. And then a simple heartfelt prayer, “Yes, I truly believe that You, Jesus came to redeem me from my sins. Come into my life today. I ask you to be my Savior, forgive me, redeem me from my sins in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.” If you have not done so already, make this Christmas the beginning of your eternal love story with Jesus.

Do You Have Room for Jesus?

As we read in the Christmas story, we see that there was no room in the inn for our Lord Jesus Christ to be birthed. And those that were carrying Him, beginning with the Virgin Mary who was pregnant with the Savior of the world was denied a suitable place to lay her head. Her husband, Joseph who was the protector of both mother and Child could not find an inn that would take them in.

Here we have a woman who is about to give birth and not only was there no room in the local inns, but there was also no compassion being shown by these inn keepers, except for one. He didn’t have a spare room available, but he did have a conscious, and made an effort to help alleviate their distress and offered the help that he could. He made room for them with the livestock. And as it says in Luke 2: 7 (NASB), “And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.”

This took place many years ago, but He still seeks a special place–the center of your heart. And the same question rings loudly today, “Do you have room for Jesus?” He’s not in need of a physical place, but a spiritual one. Will you make room for Jesus in your life today? Or is your life too crowded with the cares of this world, even the business of this Christmas season that you ignore His desire to save, to heal and deliver you, and just to spend time with you?

Again, I ask you, “Do you have room for Jesus?”
