Deliverance From an Orphaned Spirit

Many people are suffering from an orphaned spirit. But what is it? People with an orphaned spirit usually have a lifelong wrestle with feelings of depression, rejection and low self esteem. They find it difficult to believe that they can truly be loved by anyone, including God. They are often manipulative and problematic, and suffer from addictions, and failing relationships, and fear getting close to others because they might be rejected, so they reject the other person first. And they struggle to believe God’s promises are for them, and wrestle to receive them for themselves.

Does this sound familiar? Do you struggle with these very same problems as described above? If so, you are not alone. Many of God’s people have come from painful backgrounds, and don’t understand what’s wrong in life. Oftentimes, the reason for their suffering is that they are living with an orphaned spirit.

You do not have to be physically orphaned to suffer from an orphaned spirit. Perhaps, you never knew your earthly father, because either he was non existent within the family unit, or maybe he was there physically, but not there emotionally. Perhaps, your mother or father or both abandoned the family. Maybe they were very abusive to you or non caring. Regardless of the situation, the pain was and is very real and controls your daily life and hinders your ability to be happy again.

I was recently ministering in a Church, and from the moment I walked in I could sense an orphaned spirit. As I was sharing our son’s amazing testimony about how we raised him from the dead, and by faith, believed and received a new heart, lungs, kidneys and a new brain for him from the goodness of our God, the Lord gave me this underlying message in the midst of this very powerful testimony about being set free from an orphaned spirit. Our son, was orphaned from the time of conception inside of his birth mother’s womb. She truly did not want him, and tried to end his life via abortion attempts, but could not succeed. We received him when he was just one day old, we gave him a name, loved and cared for him, and fought to adopt him, and after many years his adoption was complete. Our son is no longer orphaned, nor does he have an orphaned spirit.

When I gave the altar call almost half, if not more of the congregation came forward. It was an amazing moment to witness so many of God’s people take the initial steps to freedom from an orphaned spirit.

And for those of you that have suffered a difficult past, and have struggled for many years because of it there is hope and freedom from an orphaned spirit. His name is Jesus. And He gave all He had for you because He loves you and wants you. And fought the enemy, satan, to purchase you with His blood, and adopt you into His family.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.  For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”  The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,  and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. Romans 8: 14-17.

Like I have said to many of the children in our children’s home over the years, “You can’t go back into the past and change what has happened, but you can overcome the bondage of the stronghold it has over you. Its like an old worn out shoe that you need to remove and throw it away in the trash, and not pick it out of the garbage and wear again. Throw it away, and now walk in the authority that Jesus gave to you to overcome all hurts, past and present.”

Let’s pray.

Father God,

I come before You with this great hurt from my past, and I give it to You. I choose to walk away from it, and never turn back to it. The truth of my past hurts, and I call upon Your healing balm of Gilead to heal these emotional wounds. And I know I need to do one more thing– forgive. And so by faith, not by feelings, I forgive the person or persons that have so wounded me. And I forgive them because Your Word tells me to do so. In obedience to You, I forgive and I not only forgive, but I release (name of person or persons) from my bitterness and from my revenge. And because I forgive and release (name of person or persons) from my bitterness and revenge, I am now forgiven of my own sins and free from the bondage of the past. Thank You, Father God, for accepting me into Your family.

In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

Speaking in Tongues and Its Benefits

As I minister around the world I see a resurgence within the Body of Christ for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. God’s people from all denominations, whether pastors and other leaders or the people within the congregations, there is a cry for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. This is a definite move of God, as the altars are full of people desiring to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. Men, women, youth, and children are activating their faith and are receiving this precious power from above. Grown men and intellectuals that have struggled for years with receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit are receiving instantly and weeping for joy as they begin to speak in tongues.

Speaking in tongues is the beginning step to being baptized in the Holy Spirit, and is for every born-again believer. Luke 5: 37-38 says, “No one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved.” When you become born-again, your spirit becomes eternally alive and Heaven bound with Jesus. Concerning the gift of tongues, it is given to all believers who believe and activate their faith to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit Peter said to them in Acts 2:38-39, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” Speaking in tongues is for all believers, from the time of the early Church on the Day of Pentecost to today with ourselves and to our children and to our grandchildren and to their children … until the day of the Lord’s return.

Speaking in tongues is the initial evidence of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, “And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” Acts 2:4. And your supernatural language from God is the evidence that you have received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. And is the beginning of your journey into the supernatural realm with the Holy Spirit.

Now, when being baptized in the Holy Spirit you must activate your faith as with any other promise of God. The Holy Spirit will not force you to open up your mouth and speak. You must cooperate with Him, open up your mouth, move your tongue and give voice to the words springing up from within your spirit. And that’s how you activate your faith to be baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

We are to speak in tongues when we pray. Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 14:18, “I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all.” How often do you speak in tongues? You should speak in tongues daily, and often throughout your day. Praying in tongues opens up this miraculous realm for you.

This amazing spiritual gift of speaking in tongues has powerful benefits for you.

  1. Endued with Power. Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.” Luke 24:49. This power gives you the ability to take the kingdom of God, and His promises by force and activate power to those all around. You see your enemy, satan does not want you to manifest God’s promises in your life. He battles hard against you to keep you from walking in victory. But as you learn to activate the gift of tongues when you pray you cause this enemy to loosen his grip and your miracle manifests.
  2. Speak Mysteries. First Corinthians 14:2 describes these mysteries for us. “For he who speaks in an unknown tongue does not speak to men, but to God. For no one understands him, although in the spirit, he speaks mysteries.” This word mysteries (Strong’s G3466 – mystērion) means hidden thing, secret or mystery. When you speak in tongues you speak into existence the hidden or secret things God has planned for you. I have seen this principle work time and time again in my life and ministry.
  3. Encourage Yourself. Paul admonishes us in first Corinthians 14:4 that “He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.” Speaking in tongues launches you outside of the realm of depression and into the realm of joy.
  4. Magnify God. Cornelius and his household began to speak with tongues, and magnify God. Acts 10:46 For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God.” I tell you the truth that if we would begin to speak with tongues it would prevent us from magnifying the wrong things, such as the works of satan, including sickness and disease, and we would all be a whole lot better for it. Begin to speak with tongues and magnify God.

This is an amazing revival of the Spirit of God, and as God’s people begin to speak in tongues not only do they themselves change, but entire families, congregations, communities, businesses and ministries transform as well. Don’t miss out on what the Holy Spirit has for you, be baptized in the Holy Spirit, speak with heavenly tongues, and release its benefits to those around you.

God’s Word and Your Health

Gaining and maintaining good health is of utmost importance, but did you ever stop to think about the importance of God’s Word to accomplish this goal? Most would answer they never considered the connection between good health and God’s Word, but it is the most important element to obtaining good health.

Here’s what God’s Word has to say concerning our health and the Scriptures.

“My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh.” Proverbs 4: 20-24.

A life founded upon the Scriptures is a life that prospers and remains protected from the attacks of the evil one. And remaining in the healing Scriptures keeps one strong and healthy. God’s Word produces life in your mortal body, and keeps your mind and emotions healthy.

Knowing this, it is wisdom to incorporate the study of God’s healing Word into your daily wellness routine. In fact, God’s Word is to be the center of this routine. And no matter what your schedule may be, God’s Word needs to be at the top of the list. The most important supplement you can take is the Word of God. It gives you life and health to all your flesh.

You have a coach, the Holy Spirit. He will lead you and guide you into all truth. See John 16:13. You have been given the means to encourage yourself when you feel weak in the faith in this, “He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself,” 1 Cor. 14:4a.

Call Upon the Comfort of the Holy Spirit

Do you need God’s comfort in your life now? We all do from time-to-time. And there are areas in life that we need His comfort and strength even more. If this is where you are now in life, allow me to encourage you to seek His Spirit, the Holy Spirit. He is the Comforter of God for you.

I am coming to the first year anniversary of my dad’s passing from this earth. And his passing was very painful for me. And yet, God blessed my time with him during his last days above and beyond that which I could have ever asked of my heavenly Father. Our time together was so rich and full, we talked about everything and anything. We prayed together, talked about what it would be like in Heaven. And he asked me, “What’s going to happen to me when I die?” And he wasn’t talking about eternal life, we had already prayed together for forgiveness and making sure he was in right standing with our Lord and Savior. He was asking me about the death process. And I quickly answered him just like I would answer you, “Dad, according to the Bible, God is just going to take your breath away.” And I demonstrated it to him at his bedside, I breathed in and I breathed out. And I told him, “Then you will be with the Lord.”

We did not see eye-to-eye on everything in life, especially when it came to God’s healing power. And I had to forgive him and release him to his own will and belief on all of this. I also had to forgive his pastor and the denomination that took such a hideous stance against the power of the Holy Spirit to heal today. And from my perspective this was the hardest part of his death. And this is one area I had to call down upon the power and strength of the Comforter, the Holy Spirit. My dad would not allow me to override his will in this, and never permitted me to lay hands upon him for his healing. Do you think this was easy for me? I’m a healing evangelist, I have seen more amazing healings than books could ever contain, and yet I was not allowed to pray for my own dad’s healing. Like I said, I needed the power and the strength of the Holy Spirit, my Comforter.

My dad grew up with the beliefs that you never questioned the doctor’s advice. You did exactly as he or she said. But in the end my dad confided in me that he regrets having done all that he said. He wished he hadn’t. At least he was honest with me in this.

My last visit with my dad was precious to me and painful at the same time. I had to return to Guatemala, my brother brought me to see him before dropping me off at the airport. I woke him up and just chatted and hugged him, and tended to his needs.

It wasn’t until later that I had realized that I was ministering to my dad at his feet, similar to what I share about in Greater Than Magic about how my dad without knowing it taught me how to minister to the Lord and to worship Him.

When my dad would come home from a hard day’s work I would kneel at his feet and untie his boots and take them off for him. And as I was ministering to my dad’s needs, he would pick up his little girl and love on her. And it was by this daily time spent with my dad as a young girl that I learned how to sit at the feet of my Lord Jesus and spend time with Him and minister to Him and worship Him.

My dad’s last words to me when it came time to say our final goodbyes was, “Becky, no matter what happens, remember that I will always love you.” I went home to Guatemala and within 3 days he had passed on to his home in glory with the Lord. And I was told that when my dad passed, he went quickly, just like he and I talked about would happen.

I returned to the States for my dad’s funeral and after that weekend’s service and my husband and my kids and grandchildren left and my brother’s and their families had left I was alone in my parent’s home. I was feeling real sad at that moment and asked the Comforter to show me my dad. And he did in a vision, not once, but twice since then. My dad was not in his late 80’s, he was not a teenager, but was more like in his early 30’s. He was walking in the woods, which was an everyday event for him as they owned quite a bit of wooded property. It was a summer day, and the light was golden and warm and there he was standing there looking at me with a gentle smile.

Before leaving my parent’s house for the last time after my dad’s funeral, while waiting for my brother to pick me up to bring me to the airport, I knelt down on the floor in what was once my bedroom and always remained my bedroom all these years later, but I knelt down and cried out to the Comforter, the Holy Spirit for His grace to get up from my knees and walk forward in His grace. And He was faithful to me in this, and still is.

We all lose people that we love at one time or another in this life. And it’s not easy to say goodbye to those you love. But I want you to know you do not have to walk this alone. Call out to the Comforter for His grace to help you though this great loss in your life.

“But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you.” John 14:26. AMP.

Prayer for Victims & Survivors of Parkland, Florida Massacre

In Jesus’ name, we lift up the families and friends and the community of those that were shot and killed, and those that are injured and in surgery. I lift up the students and faculty of Parkland, Florida High School that they will find comfort through our prayers and support. Help everyone affected by this terrible tragedy this day.

Father God, cover them with the power of Your steadfast love and may Your mercies carry them through the tomorrows of uncertainty. Help them to find healing in their minds and emotions from all the fear and terror of this horrific event. Help us all to heal together.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

Holy Spirit’s Power Overcomes Addiction

In my last post, Is Addiction a Disease?” we looked at several common problems that get people stuck. The first reason people get stuck in a life-style of addiction is that instead of calling it what it is, sin, they call it a disease and therefore do not deal with the root of the problem and try to treat addiction as you would a disease in the natural. But the root problem is not a physical problem it is a spiritual one. And needs to be addressed accordingly.

Another reason people get stuck is that they refuse to accept the responsibilities for their own bad decisions and look for others to place the blame on like Adam and Eve did in the Garden of Eden when they ate of the forbidden fruit. Adam first blamed Eve, but ultimately blamed God for giving her to him. And when Eve was asked why she ate of the forbidden fruit she blamed the devil. And you know what? God’s people still blame one another, God and the devil today.

In addition to blaming others, people blame circumstances, like their past. Why is this equally wrong? No matter how difficult your situations may be God has given you the ability to overcome. Not in your own strength, but with His strength. Zechariah 4:6 says, “’Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.” God does not expect you to overcome this addiction in your own strength.

God expects you to admit that you have a problem with an addiction. James 5:16 tells us to, “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”

Not only are you to confess this sin of addiction to another, you are to pray with effectual power with others and alone. There are different ways to pray but here are 2 that will help you.

  1. The Prayer of Faith. Hebrews 11:6 tells us, “And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.” When you pray to God, trust Him and in His faithfulness, believe He has your best interest in mind, and that He wills and is able to help you overcome all addiction. Remember you are to rely upon His strength, and not your own.
  2. Pray in the Holy Spirit. Many Christians have fallen from God’s grace and into sinful and addictive behavior because they no longer pray in the Spirit. They have forgotten the power of praying in tongues, and many never did as God’s Word instructs us to begin with, “Receive the Holy Spirit, Jn. 20:22. The Bible is clear when it says in Acts 1:8,You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you.” Again, this is not human power, but supernatural power from God.

Along with praying in faith and in your supernatural language, tongues, there are initial steps to take to overcome this slavery to addiction. Here are beginning steps that must be taken.

  1. Be truthful, admit that you are struggling with an addiction.
  2. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the root issue for this addictive and sinful behavior in your life.
  3. Ask God to forgive you for this sin of addiction.
  4. Ask the Holy Spirit for His guidance in which plan of action you should take. Be specific, for example ask Him which program will work for you. And do what He says—be faithful and consistent and you will see results.
  5. Confess your sin of addiction to another Christian that has proven themselves to be mature in the faith, and responsible to handle life situations according to the Word of God. And set up a strict plan of accountability, whether it be a professional program, or accountability with a trusted person or a group.

And personally, I would never align myself with people that do not believe and practice the power of the Holy Spirit. If they do not actively live out this supernatural power then they are weak in the faith and dependent upon their own strength. And you have already seen in your own life how weak your own strength can be. You need the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome this addiction in your life.

Is Addiction a Disease?

This is the first of a series about addiction of all forms. We are going to look at this difficult situation through the eyes of truth found throughout God’s Word. Today, we are going to look at this and ask ourselves what is it? Is it as the world says–a disease? Or is it something else?

Is addiction a disease? This is a good question. The world claims that it is, but what about God? What does His Word have to say about this? Let’s search out the Scriptures to find out.

Let’s begin with the basics. The dictionary definition of addiction is the state of being enslaved to a habit or practice or to something that is psychologically or physically habit-forming, as narcotics, to such an extent that its cessation causes severe trauma.1

The world of psychology believes that addiction is a disease. Here is a direct quote from the American Society of Addiction Medicine, “Addiction is a primary, chronic disease of brain reward, motivation, memory and related circuitry. Dysfunction in these circuits leads to characteristic biological, psychological, social and spiritual manifestations. This is reflected in an individual pathologically pursuing reward and/or relief by substance use and other behaviors.

Addiction is characterized by inability to consistently abstain, impairment in behavioral control, craving, diminished recognition of significant problems with one’s behaviors and interpersonal relationships, and a dysfunctional emotional response. Like other chronic diseases, addiction often involves cycles of relapse and remission. Without treatment or engagement in recovery activities, addiction is progressive and can result in disability or premature death.”2

I agree with most of this explanation except for the following words, chronic disease of brain reward, and like other chronic diseases. The world has pridefully removed God from life, except when there is a tragedy, then they remember God and place the blame on Him. Which in essence is refusing to accept responsibility for your wrong doings and placing the blame on someone or something other than yourself.

This same scenario took place back in Genesis when Adam and Eve’s lust for the forbidden fruit was manifested and found out. Neither accepted the blame for their own disobedience to God’s rules, but instead passed the blame to someone else. This is interesting and still happens today.

“And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.” And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?” Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.” And the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” Genesis 3: 8-13.

The chain of blame holds people in bondage as we see here. Adam blames Eve for giving him the forbidden fruit, but in reality blames God for giving him the woman in the first place. And so often we will hear people jokingly blame it all on Eve, but as we study out the Scriptures Adam was there when she ate of the fruit. “So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.” Gen. 3:6. Adam could have rebuked Eve and told her no, but he did not. He was an accomplice to this crime before he ate of the forbidden fruit for himself. And then we look at this passage again and think, “Wow! That’s very arrogant of Adam to speak so disrespectfully to God and tell Him that He’s responsible for this mess.”

Allow me to challenge you with this common response, “I will not accept the fact that the devil put this sickness upon me. I refuse to say that I was overtaken by the devil, but it was God who permitted this, and this is the reason why I am sick.” Just like Adam, people blame God for their troubles all the time.

Let’s go back to Adam’s first crime, and where did it begin? Sin begins in the mind, in the realm of our thoughts. And if we do not do as the Word instructs us, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.” 2 Cor. 10:4-6. Satan planted the seed of temptation to disobey in Adam’s mind with negative words, and he dwelt on this thought and acted upon it and sinned against God.

The Bible tells us in James 1:14, “Each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.” Ponder upon the way this verse is written in the Amplified Version of the Bible, “But each one is tempted when he is dragged away, enticed and baited [to commit sin] by his own [worldly] desire (lust, passion).”

Now, let’s backtrack just a bit. It wasn’t just Adam that did not accept the blame for his sinful actions, Eve did the same. When God asked her why she had committed this sin, she blamed the serpent who tempted her. The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” Gen. 3:13. How often do we hear people say, “The devil made me do it!” No, satan did not make you sin. Yes, he tempted you, but you made the decision to sin all on your own. You are responsible for your sin.

1 Corinthians 10:13 clears this matter up of about who is responsible here, “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”

I can hear your contradicting thoughts, you argue, “That’s easy for God to say, He’s God. He’s a supernatural being. He doesn’t know what it’s like for us here on earth.” And I respond to you and say, “You are wrong. He does understand exactly what you are going through.” Hebrews 4:15 explains how Jesus was tempted when He walked this earth in human form,For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.”

Do you think the temptations Jesus had to overcome were somehow easier than what you need to overcome? Back in Jesus day there was rebellion, lying, cheating, stealing, murder, prostitution, and other sexual sins, drunkenness… and this list goes on and on, just as it does today. Not only did He show you by personal example that it is possible to overcome temptation, He loved you so much that He took it a step further in the Garden of Gethsemane. He was about to enter into His final hours on this earth, and be slaughtered because of our sin, to redeem us from it and its consequences, such as sickness and disease and other forms of the curse. Let’s read this portion of Scripture from the Book of Luke, chapter 22, verses 41-44.

“And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.”

As we study this out, we see that Jesus was being tempted by the enemy, satan, not to fulfill the plan of atonement for us. And I personally believe this was the greatest temptation of all time, but even though He was being tempted, He did not sin. And what I teach people with this portion of Scripture is that it was at this point-in-time that Jesus overcame the human will so that we could overcome it as well.

We are talking about biblically overcoming addiction in this series of articles, and no matter what the addiction is, whether it is an addiction to drugs, alcohol, sex, pornography, gambling, food… you have the ability with God to overcome any and all forms of addiction. But we must look at addiction through the eyes of truth. According to the Word in John 8:32, You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” Blaming others, and bad situations in life does not help, and calling addiction a disease does not set you free either. In the natural disease needs medicine or medical treatments, you do not overcome addiction by becoming addicted to something else.  And calling addiction a disease does not set you free, it gives you an excuse to continue on in the choice of your sinful addictive behavior.

Is There More to Christianity than Salvation?

You believe Jesus is Lord, you attend weekly services at your local Christian fellowship, you read the Bible, and even memorize Scriptures. Yet, something is missing. You begin to question your walk with the Lord. And with quite a bit of delusion, you have come to the conclusion that something is missing and there has got to be more to Christianity than what you have.

A young man in Austin, Texas came to this point of delusion with his daily walk with the Lord. He was raised in a denominational Church that taught him this was it. And even though he realized that his salvation in Jesus Christ is a great gift and his entrance into eternal life in heaven, something was missing to walk out his faith on this earth. And he reached the point where he knew there had to be more to Christianity. He cried out to God and said, “Enough is enough!” And accepted an invitation to come to a healing conference being held with another fellowship that weekend.  And this is where I met this young man.

This young man had heard the Word preached before, but never with the demonstration of power that he read about in the Bible. And when he came into the presence of the Holy Spirit it made him cry out all the harder for more –more of God. He wanted it all, not just part.

I offered to minister the Baptism of the Holy Spirit to those that had never received this precious gift before. He came forward, and even though this was all new to him, he was ready to receive from God what had been missing all these years. I placed my hand upon him and baptized him in the Holy Spirit. And this young man not only started to pray in tongues, but he fell to the floor and his spirit cried out with great sorrow and joy. Sorrow for what he had lost during all these years because he was taught that the workings of the Holy Spirit were done away with. And he also sobbed for joy because at this moment he stepped into a fullness with God he had never known before.

Another man had been in the same denomination for many years and was furious when he first learned the truth about the Holy Spirit. He felt he had been robbed, and he had. But since then, he has begun to walk in the fullness of the Spirit and even ministers healing to the sick with success.

These are both common responses when God’s people first receive the truth about the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

The false doctrine that teaches the Holy Spirit, His gifts and power are done away with causes great harm and suffering to the body of Christ. And that’s exactly what the enemy wants. He desires God’s people to walk in defeat and discouragement. He is so bent upon our destruction that he authored this slanderous lie against the Spirit of God.

Here is the evidence that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, His gifts and His power are for today.

  1. The Holy Bible says that the Scriptures are God-breathed, and they will endure forever. Do you believe the Holy Bible is God’s word? I do. And because I believe the Word of God I walk successfully in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, His gifts, and in His power. And you can too if you will believe His word.
  • “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Tim. 3:16-17.
  • “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.” Isa. 40.8.
  • “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” Mt. 24:35.

  1. God is truthful. Do you believe God lies to you? Or do you believe He is truthful in every way? I believe God speaks only the truth, and because of this, His truth sets me free. I am not bound to religious lies conjured up by satan. I believe Him when He speaks of the benefits of the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
  • All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal.” Ps. 130:5.
  • “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” 8:32.
  • “Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.” Jn. 17:17.

  1. God tells us that He does not change, this includes the Holy Spirit, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, and all of His gifts. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Do you believe this? I do. And because I believe this I have the assurance that no matter what happens in today’s world, God is stationary and remains to be my foundation in this life.
  • “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Heb. 13:8.
  • “For I am the Lord, I change not.” Mal. 3:6a.
  • “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.” Jas. 1:17.

  1. Concerning the Baptism of the Holy Spirit here are a few verses found in the Bible.
  • “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.” Jn. 7:38-39.
  • Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.” Rom. 8:26-27.
  • “Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” Acts 2:38-39.

  1. He said that when the Holy Spirit comes upon us that we would have His power. Is your life filled with the power of the Holy Spirit? Or is your walk with the Lord lame? If it’s the latter, what are you going to do about it?
  • “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Mein Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8.
  • “If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” 11:11-13.
  • “And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” Acts 2:4.

Remember, Jesus is God’s gift to the sinner and the Holy Spirit and His baptism is for the believer only. If you have already received Jesus as your Savior and would now like to be baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of praying in tongues, then place your hand upon your heart and let’s pray this aloud together. Keeping in mind, this is not your earthly language, but a supernatural language given to you by the Spirit of God.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I am a believer in Jesus Christ, and I ask you in His name for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in tongues. I believe and receive from you.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

Now, it’s time to put your faith into action. Open up your mouth, move your tongue and give voice to what the Holy Spirit will pray through you. He will not force you, but as you activate faith He will flow through you with this utterance gift.

Both Jesus and His Salvation and the Holy Spirit and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit are great gifts to be received and opened and put to use in our daily lives, in Heaven and on Earth.

Loosed From the Effects of Polio by Faith

People are often waiting upon God for the manifestation of their healing, but in actuality He is waiting upon us to activate our faith for our healing that He already provided for us. What do I mean by this statement? According to Isaiah 53:4-5 we are already healed by the whips Jesus endured to purchase our healing.

But [in fact] He has borne our griefs, and He has carried our sorrows and pains; yet we [ignorantly] assumed that He was stricken, struck down by God and degraded and humiliated [by Him]. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing] the punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him, and by His stripes (wounds) we are healed. (AMP)

You say to yourself, “If I am already healed then why do I still feel sick? Or why do I still have these symptoms?” These are great questions with even greater answers from the Scriptures.

Like any other promise found in God’s Word your supernatural healing is activated by your faith. And the two ways to activate your faith is by the power of your spoken words and by activating your faith,or putting action behind your faith-filled words.

In other words, you are responsible for your healing, Jesus made good on His healing promise as stated above in Isaiah 53:4-5. Your part is to strengthen your faith to the point  you actually believe. And how do you do this? According to Romans 10:17, So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.And to build up or strengthen your faith for healing you need to direct your efforts towards the healing Scriptures. Now is not the time to study finances, it is time to focus in on healing. And this is good news, you have control over your health and healing or any situation for that matter.

Here is a wonderful testimony about a woman who came to the healing conference in Austin, Texas with multiple  issues that caused her great pain. She had contracted polio as a child and it crippled her, then when she was a little older she had an accident where she went though a window and the glass cut her down to her bone. And the other health issue was she had a torn rotary cuff.

She had heard how she was responsible for her own healing, and that it is her faith that heals her.  She received the teaching necessary to know what faith is and how to activate her faith for her healing.

We started with the torn rotary cuff first. She was instantly healed and had full range of movement. And that made her very happy. I then released the healing power down her spine and into her hips. I told her to put her faith into action and do what she was not able to do before. She started to sway her hips back and forth and within about a minute she was beaming with joy as she was loosed from a lifetime of ill effects from childhood polio. Then I released the power of the Holy Spirit into her left knee and leg that had been cut through from the accident with the glass door. She was eager to exercise her faith and the pain and tightness was easing up. I then asked her if she came to the service with someone. And she did so I asked her friend to walk her around the sanctuary, and amazingly she just started to walk with ease.

Glory to God, all things are possible to those that believe in the miracle working power of the Spirit of God. And this woman is a shining example of what happens when people learn what it means to believe, and how to work faith to activate the benefits of God.

Signs of Healing Begin to Manifest for Autism

The other week in Folsom, California 2 ladies came together, both mothers of little children suffering from autism and other physical and mental issues. When they came for ministry we witnessed a gentle touch of the Holy Spirit’s healing power for these children.

The first mama held onto her little girl, and this one responded in typical manner as one would expect, crying and refusal to look my way. I placed my hand upon her back as she hung on tightly with her arms wrapped around her mother’s neck. I renounced this autistic spirit that was torturing her. I no sooner spoke these words aloud and she stopped the intense crying, looked me in the eye and reached out to me and climbed into my arms, hung on tightly with her her head upon my shoulders. It was clearly not a normal behavior for her.

And for those not accustomed to working with a person suffering from autism, one classic symptom of autism is they cannot look someone in the eye, they turn from visual contact. So this was a giant step for this little girl to instantly look me in the eye, not once, but continual looking me in the eye. And the second major step in the right direction was her reaching out to me and climbing into my arms and laying her head down and holding on tightly to me. Those that are familiar with autism know that these are two amazing steps towards this little girl’s complete freedom from this demonic attack against her life.

To help you understand, let me explain to you what takes place in this type of deliverance? I am accustomed with anyone plagued with a demon spirit, and yes, autism is both spiritual and physical, how the demon within them can’t handle the presence of the Holy Spirit and they will cause the person suffering to scream, convulse and fight being in this place. It’s the spirit of fear’s tactics to frighten and cause the parents or others in authority over the child, regardless of age, to back off from the process and to enter into doubt and unbelief. But if you, their caregiver and protector will not falter in your spiritual authority during this process their deliverance and healing will manifest.

And how the Spirit of God taught me years ago with our own son’s deliverance and healing was to first take my authority over a severe autistic spirit that plagued him. I did as He said, and right then and there the demonic fit stopped and never returned.

After a few minutes of holding this little girl and releasing the love of the Holy Spirit over her by holding onto her tightly and praying in the Spirit over her, I handed her to someone else to continue on. The the second mom stood in front of me with her little son that suffered from autism and many other issues, one being unable to walk without help and basically did not leave his stroller due to all the autistic symptoms of suffering.

As this mother held her son that could not look people in the eye, I renounced the autistic spirit and released the healing power of the Holy Spirit into him. He too started to look each of us in the eye, and began to walk and walked all around holding onto his mom’s hand, and the next afternoon the mother returned with him and said he was walking with her all day.

What’s happening here? According to the words of Jesus it is our faith that heals and makes us whole. “Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”” Luke 17:19. And I know that the Spirit of God meets us wherever our faith is. Faith calls out to the Spirit of God. It pleases Him. And as these mothers continue to release their faith, and learn to release it completely the full manifestation of these healings, which are many, will manifest completely.

I pray this helps you in your journey with Jesus  in your deliverance and healing process.
