Faith is More Valuable than Money

Have you ever taken the time to ponder about the wealth you possess? Most people when doing so would immediately think about their financial portfolio. How much wealth have they accumulated in worldly terms. But is this really how we are to measure our wealth? Or is there something more valuable than money? Yes, there is, and it’s called faith.

How often have I told you that money cannot always buy you health for your body? Even the best insurance policy available cannot provide a miracle for you. And the most experienced doctor in all the world cannot give you the impossible. But I will tell you what can always accumulate health for you and your loved ones, that’s your faith in the atoning blood of Jesus for your healing.

You notice when Jesus spoke to the woman with the issue of blood for 12 years, He didn’t say that her financial wealth, or an financial offering made her well. In fact, the Scriptures tell us that she had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any. But what did He say that brought forth her healing? He said that her faith made her well, it healed her, and made her whole. Let’s read this account from the Book of Luke below.

Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any, came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped.

And Jesus said, “Who touched Me?”

When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’

But Jesus said, “Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me.” Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed immediately.

And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.” (Luke 8:43-48.)

So often God’s people spend a lifetime building up their financial portfolio for their retirement years, to make sure they have as much as possible in case of needed medical attention, or unexpected disease. And I am not against people saving up money for their later years. But I ask you, “What is more valuable, a healthy bank account or a healthy faith account?”

The Bible is clear that if we will seek first the kingdom of God, then all these things that we have need of will be added onto us. See Matthew 6:33. It would be very wise for us, God’s people to spend the time now and seek God and His ways, and build up our faith in the healing power of the Blood. Learn how to prevent sickness from coming upon our families with the supernatural weapons of  faith, rather then planning to get sick, which is activating faith for sickness, and because this is where our faith is, sickness will come upon us. You’ve paved the way for it. Perhaps you’ve never thought about finances verses faith in this manner before. If not, it is time to start now. No matter how old you are, it’s time to build up your faith account now.

And one final thought for you to consider today is that finances are limited to earthly resources, but faith has no limits. Every miracle necessary for your well-being is accessible in the redemptive blood of Jesus. And you can bank on the power of the Blood of Jesus, and  learn to make it work for you. Such a great inheritance you have been given, learn to activate the benefits of it.

4 Major Hindrances that Block Healing

You believe it’s God’s will to heal you. You’ve been prayed for, and the Church elders have anointed you with oil. You’ve done all that you know to do. Now what? What could possibly hinder your healing from manifesting? Let’s come up with a checklist to see what might possibly be hindering your healing.

  1. Lack of true revelation concerning healing could hinder your healing from manifesting. What do I mean by lack of true revelation. For instance, you’ve heard amazing testimonies of others being healed, so you know God heals today. But even still, you are not fully convinced that He wills to heal all people, all the time, of all sickness and disease. And you’re even more unsure if he wills to heal you personally. Until this true revelation comes you will lack the confidence to believe without a shadow of a doubt. James 1:6 tells us,But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.” Let’s continue on with this point about hindrance. And just how does this true revelation come? This question leads us to our next point of study.
  2. Another hindrance could be a lack of the healing word. So often God’s people do not read and study the Word of God, so their faith is weak. Or they are not focused in their study. I find satan is a mastermind at distracting God’s people from what they need to be focused on. If you want healing to manifest you need to zero in on His healing word. Now is not the time to study finances, but healing and healing only. Stay on target until you hit the bullseye–healing. The Bible is clear about how faith comes. It tells us in Romans 10:17, So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
  3. More often then not, you block your own healing by the faithless words that you speak. And you often speak these faithless confessions without realizing it. You need to change the way in which you speak. You must speak faith for healing, no matter what the circumstance looks like. Proverbs 18:21 teaches us that, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].”
  4. Another common hindrance would be your actions, or lack of them. If your actions do not line up with faith, you will stop your miracle from manifesting. Faith without works is dead, and dead faith is no faith. Your actions must line up with the Word of God.Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead,” James 2:17.

These are 4 major hindrances that will block your healing from manifesting. And they need our constant attention when activating our faith for a miracle.

Do Your Words Hurt or Heal?

Is it true that “Sticks and stones may break my bones (but words will never hurt me)? As small children we used to chant this when we were on the defense. But is this really true?

God’s Word says in the Book of Proverbs 18:21, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.” Those are serious results to words spoken.

Words have the power within themselves to destroy or restore, to make sick or to heal, to weaken or to strengthen. Words either curse or they bless.

What if one constantly speaks out that he is nothing but a poor man. What will he be? He will be poor. By his own mouth he curses his finances.

Proverbs 23:7a, “For as he thinks within himself, so he is.” And Matthew 15:18 reveals the end result of negative thinking, “But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man.”

If another says she is always sick and tired, how will her body respond? It will be sick and tired. By the power of her own words she wears out her physical body and destroys her health.

Proverbs 16:24 shares insight to the power of positive words and the physical effects they have upon our minds, emotions and bodies when spoken. “Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.”

What happens when a husband and wife constantly tear each other down with words of insults? They become hurt, angry and bitter towards one another. And eventually, they destroy their relationship. Proverbs 15:1b tells us that harsh words stir up anger. And Proverbs 18:19a says, “A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city”

Negative words hurt you and others, and sometimes their damage is almost irreversible. Choose your words well and heal, instead of hurt.

2 Reasons Why Bad Things Happen to Good People

Do you wonder why bad things happen to good people? Jesus gives us the answer to this question in Scripture.

  1. In this world you will have tribulation, meaning difficult times.

Jesus says in John 16:33, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

Tribulation entered into our earth when Adam and Eve decided to rebel against God and His ways. This original sin opened the door to satan and his evil ways and allowed corruption to enter into our world and into the human body as well.

Did you notice that in the midst of difficulties Jesus says to be of good cheer? This does not mean that we are to be happy because we are facing hard times, but because of what He does for us at Calvary we can walk in victory despite the hardships.

God did not create people to suffer, but sometimes we do suffer because we live in a fallen world.

So, if it is not God’s plan for people to suffer, then who is responsible?

2. Satan comes to steal, to kill and to destroy.

In John 10:10, Jesus clearly describes satan’s intentions, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”

God is not responsible for all the evil that is happening around us, satan is. And the devil is bent on our destruction. Jesus calls him a thief, who comes to steal God’s blessings from us.

According to Deuteronomy 28: 1-14, what are God’s blessings that he tries to steal?

  • Our identity in Christ.
  • Our spiritual authority.
  • Our dominion on this earth.
  • Divine favor.
  • The Lord’s good treasure that has been given to us.
  • The blessings of children, good harvest, and an increase in livestock.
  • Our daily needs being met abundantly.
  • Safe travels.
  • The blessing of our work and the fruit of our labor.
  • Our finances.
  • Good weather.
  • Divine protection from our enemies.

In 3 John 1:2, a prayer is recorded that reveals God’s heartfelt intentions for His people. “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”

When the Word of God is our standard we can discern why things are happening in life and who is responsible. If the situation is good and perfect then it comes from the Father up above, see James 1:17. And if a blessing in life is being stolen from us, like the life of a loved one via premature death from sickness, disease, a tragic accident or incident then we know that satan is the one responsible for the tragedy.

Knowing these 2 reasons why bad things happen to good people help us in the healing process.

A Financial Miracle

I want to share with you a financial miracle that I believe will bless and encourage you to DARE to Believe the Lord Jesus Christ in every area of your life.

I was preparing a bank deposit slip for this past ministry trip. And as I was setting aside a tithe and offering for the Lord, I happened to see that I had a worn out bill in the pile. I said to the Lord that I didn’t want to give Him that bill, and exchanged it for a nice, new looking one. Guess what happened? My cash pile supernaturally multiplied by $200+…

Let’s take the limits off of our Lord, and DARE to Believe our Heavenly Father for the miraculous in the realm of our finances as well.
