A Prayer for the Assistance of Ministering Angels

Luke 1: 26-27 says, “Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary.”

The Father sent His angel Gabriel to this earth to deliver a message to Mary that would change her life. Did you know that He still sends angels to this earth to minister to His people? The Bible says concerning these angels in Hebrews 1:14, “Are not the angels all ministering spirits (servants) sent out in the service [of God for the assistance] of those who are to inherit salvation?” AMP

Do you feel like your situation needs extra help? Have you considered praying to the Father for the assistance of His ministering angels?

We need to learn to take the limits off of God, and allow Him to minister to us as He wills. Many believers are receiving angelic visitations from the Lord. I know I have had angelic activity in my life, and I expect even more ministry in this way. How about you? Where are you at in your spiritual walk with the Lord? Will you allow Him to send His ministering angels to minister to you?

Here is my petition to the Lord for you this day.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I ask You to send forth your angels to minister to the needs of my dear friends this day. That many will see, hear and receive a special angelic touch from You that will heal them in spirit, soul and body.

For those that are fighting against a spirit of death that they receive a divine healing touch and they will rise from their deathbeds completely healed.

And for all that are suffering from physical pain, sickness and disease I ask that Your ministering angels will encompass them and release their physical healing this very moment.

I pray for others that are fighting against a spirit of deception that they will receive a message of truth that will set them free, and lead them down the path of repentance, and back into the arms of the Heavenly Father.

Holy Spirit, send forth Your angels that will minister love, and acceptance to those that are contemplating suicide today. Give them the message of hope that is needed to choose life and to carry on to the victory that comes only from the redemptive work of Jesus Christ.

For those that are in the place of major decisions today, that will affect the lives of them and their families, release Your ministering angels and strengthen them to do what is right according to Your Word.

Whatever the need may be, I ask that You will release Your angels to minister to them by the power of Your grace.

In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

Why AM I Getting Worse and Not Better?

Someone writes and asks, “I have prayed for healing for several people for years. I have learned to quit asking and thank God for working in their bodies. I quote “healing is the children’s bread” and I ask God to give us this day our daily bread, healing. It is difficult when these people appear to get worse and not better. What are your thoughts about this?”

The first words I hear when I read this question are; “The Bread and the Wine have already been served.” It isn’t that God is withholding healing. Jesus already broke bread, (His Body) for us when He bowed down and gave His back to be brutally whipped for our healing. And He also poured the Wine, (His Blood) when He shed His blood at Calvary so that we could walk in a new blood covenant called grace.

When healing is not manifesting, I have learned to stop blaming God, and to start searching within myself to find out what is happening in my life that is hindering the healing power of God from manifesting. Why does it appear that I am getting worse and not better? If I don’t know the answer, I ask the Holy Spirit to show me what’s in my heart. And I can do this without feeling condemned, because I know that His grace is for me and not against me. And He willingly gives the revelation so that I can be healed.

Take the time to examine your heart and ask yourself the following questions:

Am I struggling with past hurts and unforgiveness? Matthew 6:14-15 tells us, “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
Is there willful sin in my life? Proverbs 66:18 makes it plain, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear.”
Am I speaking the blessings of God or the curses of satan over my life? Proverbs 18:21teaches us that, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”
Have I surrendered my 5 senses and human reasoning over to God? Or do I trust them more than the Word of God concerning my healing? We can learn from our spiritual father, Abraham in Romans 4:19, “And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb.”
Are my eyes fixed on Jesus? Or have I lost my focus and they are centered on the illness? Hebrews 12:2a tells us where our eyes should be focusing, “fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.”
Have I given into confusion and doubt? Am I being controlled by a spirit of fear? Or am I walking by faith? 2 Timothy says, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
Do I really believe that God is for me, and not against me? Romans 8:31 says, “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

If the Spirit of God is speaking to your heart, stop what you are doing, start praying and seeking God for His forgiveness and guidance and start the healing process again.

What is Difficult to Believe About Healing?

I recently asked the following question, “What is difficult to believe about healing?” Everyone that responded said, “That God is willing to heal them personally.” We are going to take a careful look at this response to expose two main hindrances that are blocking us from receiving His healing power in our personal lives.

In Luke 5:12-13 we read about a leprous man in the Bible who had the same doubt and question.

And it happened when He was in a certain city, that behold, a man who was full of
leprosy saw Jesus; and he fell on his face and implored Him, saying, “Lord, if
You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then He put out His hand and touched
him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” And immediately the leprosy left him.

This man had a very contagious disease and others were afraid of him. He was not allowed to go near others. If others came near him he would have to pick up a rock and throw it at them and call out that he was unclean. He felt the rejection of those around him and I believe he thought God had rejected him as well.

He asked an honest question. He didn’t know the will of God, and Jesus reached out and touched him and showed him that He was not rejected but accepted by God and answered his honest question. He said, “I am willing; be cleansed.”

I believe the number one hindrance that stops us from believing that God is willing to heal us stems from an identity crisis. We do not know who we are in Christ. Our true identity is probably the most important truth that satan tries to conceal from us because he knows that once we start to unveil the truth about who we really are in Christ and who Christ is in us, we become lethal to satan and his kingdom of darkness.

It says in Psalms 8: 5-6, concerning us, “Yet You have made him a little lower than God, and You crown him with glory and majesty! You make him to rule over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet” (NASB). We have been created a little lower than God. He gave us authority and dominion over all things. Once we start to recognize who we are in Christ, we start to seize our authority over satan, the temptation of sin, and the consequences of living in a fallen world, such as sickness, disease, and every other foul curse that comes our way. In other words, as we start to understand who we are in Christ we start to dominate satan and his evil works, instead of him dominating us.

Another hindrance is that people are struggling with their past and do not really believe that God can forgive and heal them because of their many past sins. In 1 John 1:9 it says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” If we have asked the Lord to forgive us of past sins, then we are forgiven. The enemy can no longer hold our past against us because we are covered with the blood of Jesus. It is now all about our faith in His grace to honor His Word in our lives. And because we choose to believe His Word that He is faithful and just we are not only forgiven of all sin, but we are redeemed from the consequences of those sins, including sickness and disease. Jesus is saying to us today, “I am willing; be cleansed.”

Why Is It Difficult for Christians to Receive Healing?

As a healing evangelist I am asked many questions concerning healing. One common question asked is, “Why do you think it is hard for Christians to receive healing? It seems most are already resigned to go the medical route because God uses doctors.” This is a reasonable question, and there is an answer for it.

It has been difficult for Christians, especially in the Western World, to receive healing because they have not been taught about faith for healing on a consistent basis.

People are willing to wait 7 to 10 days for an antibiotic to heal their bodies, because they have been taught for many years that if they take one spoonful or one tablet of this medicine, three times a day they will be healed. They are even willing to overlook physical symptoms of the illness, because they have been taught that the symptoms and the sickness will be healed as long as they take the medicine faithfully. So, their faith has been activated, they follow their doctor’s instructions, and they are healed by the medicine.

But God’s people are not willing to wait this amount of time for divine healing to manifest, because they have not been consistently taught that if they will be faithful to take God’s medicine, His Word concerning healing, three times a day, morning, noon and night, that their bodies will be healed. And because of the lack of faith teaching for healing, if they experience any type of symptom after prayer they doubt the power in God’s medicine, and are not healed.

When God’s people hear the message of faith for healing on a consistent basis and put faith for healing into action then they are healed. And not only are they healed, but they walk in divine health and avoid sickness all together.

Our faith to believe God for healing will automatically activate when we are taught the Word for healing on a consistent basis.

This is why it has been difficult for Christians to receive healing in the past, but we can change this and start to teach the healing message to those around us.

Do You Hear What I Hear?

I hear the seriousness of the times that we now live in, and the urgency in His voice to trust and obey Him. I hear the orders to march forward in the power of His grace, and release it to the human race. Do you hear what I hear?

Healing Confessions

The Good News in Proverbs 18:21 teaches us that there is the power of life and death in our tongues. Essentially this means that the condition of our health is in the words that we speak. In-other-words, we have control over our health and lives. Let us learn how to speak words of faith that will produce healing in our mortal bodies.

You see, according to God our words either create or destroy. We can learn to use the power of the spoken word wisely. We need to destroy the work of the enemy, satan in our lives. We need to renounce sickness, disease, and death attacking our bodies. And then we release the healing power of the Holy Spirit and receive it into sick body parts.

Jesus said, “Have faith in God. If you say to this mountain, be removed and cast into the sea, and don’t doubt in your heart, but believe the things you say will happen, then you will have whatever you say. So, with a believing heart, declare the promises of God, and receive your miracles. Mk. 11:22-24.

Use the following list of healing confessions and speak them out loud several times a day, just as if you were taking a dose of medicine for yourself or for someone else. Personalize these Scriptures, use your name or the name of a loved one and declare God’s healing power.

By His stripes you are / I am healed. Is. 53:5.
It is the Lord who is healing you / me. Ex. 15:26.
The Lord, your / my God is taking sickness away from the midst of you / me. Ex. 23:25.
The Lord will take all sickness away from you / me. Deut. 7:15.
Bless the Lord, who heals all your / my diseases. Ps. 103:3.
Attend to His word because it is life and health to your / my flesh. Prov. 4: 20, 22.
Fear not and don’t be dismayed, because the Lord your / my God is with you / me and will strengthen and help you / me. Is. 41:10.
The Lord says He will restore heath to you / me and heal you / me of your / my wounds. Jer. 30:17.
Jesus cast out the spirit with the word and healed all that were sick. He Himself took your / my infirmities and bore your / my sicknesses. Matt. 8:16-17.
Jesus went around healing every sickness and every disease among the people. Matt. 9:35.
Jesus healed the lame, blind, maimed, and many others, and He is healing you / me, for which we / I glorify God, as the multitudes did. Matt. 15: 30-31.
These signs will follow you / me because you / I believe. You / I will lay hands on yourself / myself and others and you / I will recover. Mk. 16:17-18.
Jesus gave you / me, as His disciple power over all devils, to cure diseases, and to heal the sick. Lk. 9: 1-2.
Jesus told us to heal the sick, so in obedience to Him, and in His name, we / I believe that you are / I am being healed, and know that the kingdom of God has come near you / me. Luke 10:9.
The Lord is granting you / me boldness to speak His word. He is stretching forth His hand to heal you / me in the name of Jesus. Acts 4:29-30.
Jesus healed all of the sick people, and those troubled with unclean spirits that were brought to Him. So, we / I bring you / myself to Him, and He is healing you / me. Acts 5:16.
God anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all those oppressed by the devil, including you / me. Acts 10:38.
God will keep you / me in perfect peace because your / my mind is fixed on Him and you / I trust in Him. Is. 26:3.
You / I shall not die, but live, and declare the work of the Lord. Ps. 118:17.

Remember, Jesus says, “Have faith in God.”

Marcos Raised From the Dead

I walked into the bedroom and saw something was wrong with our baby. I called out to my husband, “David!” He came immediately and swept Marcos up into his arms and ran to the car to rush him to a hospital.

I was not able to go with him because we lived in our children’s home with 17 children, and 5 were babies. It all happened so fast, and I did not have someone that could take care of the babies for me.

The first hospital he went to did not have oxygen. He was recommended to try another private hospital. He quickly found it. They saw Marcos and grabbed him from David’s arms and ran to save him.

In the natural they did everything they knew to do, but too much time had lapsed and there was no hope. Our adopted son, Marcos died from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome when he was 1 month old. His heart didn’t just stop, but exploded within him, and along with his blood pieces of his lungs came up out of his nose. And the doctor pronounced Marcos dead.

But we dare to believe in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ, and with Him all things are possible!

During this time in Guatemala communication systems were not very good. We did not have land lines, and cell phones were brand new and we owned one. But with only one cell phone we were not able to communicate with one another. So, I did not know what was happening with David and Marcos, nor did he know what was happening with me and the Holy Spirit.

As soon as David and Marcos fled the house, I called all the children to pray with me for Marcos. They prayed the best they knew how, but then I went into our bedroom, shut the door and prayed in tongues fervently.

While interceding in the Spirit for Marcos, the Lord broke into my natural realm and spoke to me in an audible voice. He called me by name and whispered, “Becky.” I answered Him and said, “What?” He said to me, “You need to command the spirit of death to come out of Marcos now.” I did not question or even fear what I heard. I immediately said aloud, “I renounce the spirit of death over Marcos and I release the Spirit of Life to flow into him in Jesus’ name.” The Lord then spoke to me again and said, “Now Becky, you need to speak to his spirit directly.”

No one had ever taught me this except that during the past two years the Lord had instructed me to study healing and nothing else during this time. And I saw in the Gospels that Jesus sent His Word and it healed them.

I immediately heard myself say, “Marcos, I know in the natural there is a distance between us, but in the spirit realm there is no distance between us. Marcos, I need you to start breathing on your own now. Breathe, breathe, breathe!” And then I had a peace that surpasses all understanding.

David had already heard the news that Marcos was dead, and was signing the necessary paperwork. When all of a sudden they heard Marcos grasp for breath. They all turned around and ran to attend him.

In the natural Marcos was not able to breathe on his own. What was upon him? The Spirit of Life.

For the next month, we stood in the gap for his very life, because when he died everything within him died as well. But by the true power of faith we believed and received a new heart, a new set of lungs, a new set of kidneys and a new brain, because they were all dead, but now they are alive.

We celebrated Marcos’ 13^th birthday for the glory of our Lord.

Is Healing Power Just for Healers?

Is healing power just for healers? This is a good question, and one that I get asked often. The answer is no. Healing power is for everyone that believes.

According to 1 Corinthians 12 there is a ministry gift called, gifts of healings. This is a gift of the Holy Spirit given as He wills to give to an individual. This person may or may not end up behind a pulpit. But regardless, wherever they go healing follows them.

1 Corinthians 12:4-11 tells us concerning the gifts of the Spirit, “There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.”

I see some frequent errors in the body of Christ that need to be clarified concerning the administering of healing.

1. These 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit, including the gifts of healings are given to individuals as the Spirit wills. In other words, we cannot just decide that we are going to have a healing ministry. This is a specific calling of God on an individual’s life. This calling is irrevocable, and is for the benefit of others.

2. Not everyone is called to have a healing ministry, but all believers in Christ Jesus are called to exercise their everyday faith and lay hands on the sick for healing.

Mark 16: 17-18 says, “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Our physical well-being is so important to the Lord that He provided more than one way for us to be supernaturally healed.

1. By an individual called by the Holy Spirit to operate in the ministry of healing.

2. Or through our own faith to believe for our own healing or for the healing of another by the laying on of hands.

The healing power of the Holy Spirit is for both the healing minister, and for the individual who will exercise their faith and believe in His power to heal.

Autism Healed

When we received Andres he was 6 weeks old. His birth mother was an alcoholic and drank while she was pregnant, and after he was born she fed him sugar water and alcohol. Needless to say Andres had many challenges.

He was sick, weak and suffered from alcohol withdrawals. During the night times my husband and I took turns to care for him. To keep his formula down in his system we had to feed him with an eye dropper. By the grace of God we made it through this season and he could now drink formula from a bottle.

But then we noticed he started to have convulsions. The doctor’s reports were bad. Tests showed that between the fourth and twelfth weeks of fetal development the right and left sides of the brain did not form together properly and there were black spaces between the two lobes. And because this happened to him while in the womb he was labeled with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, even though he did not have the facial features of someone with FAS.

He was very developmentally delayed. Then he started to bang his head on the crib, bite, spit, and scream and tantrum for hours at a time. Meal times were especially difficult for our large foster family. He would scream and tantrum again, because he did not want to eat what we gave him. He only wanted food that was white or off-white in color or eat from the floor.

Then as a toddler other strange behaviors began like spinning. Everything in his world had to spin in circles non-stop, including himself and his toys. He could not make eye contact. And he did not learn how to speak normally, the only words he would say were, “Mickey, Donald, Goofy”. And the violent behaviors and tantrums increased.

I brought him in for further tests and they said he was autistic. They said they could give him medication to calm his behavior, but that it was more for the benefit of the mother than for him. I refused, and sought the Lord.

During this time I was studying the Word concerning healing, not only was I reading and studying, but I was fasting too. I was keeping a journal about what I was learning, and was asking Him to reveal more to me concerning healing. He was very faithful to me, and taught me how to heal the sick.

One day I was in the nursery with all the little ones, and Andres started to scream and become violent. In that moment the Lord spoke to me in a still, small voice, and I knew what to do. I turned to Andres and said with authority, “I rebuke the violent autistic spirit within you in Jesus’ name.” Immediately, he settled down and never had that problem again. And he never screamed during mealtimes again either.

Then we dealt with all of the other abnormal autistic behaviors, and one by one, they were gone. We taught him to eat what was put before him, and to stop the spinning. But he was still not able to look at us in the eye or carry on a conversation.

Then one afternoon, while I was in the kitchen he came up to me and started a normal conversation and even looked me in the eye. He then left for a while to go play with the other little ones and then he returned and continued on the same conversation where he had left off. I was so amazed at what the Lord had done for our son.

We have had doctors and social workers tell us the same thing over and over again, “He is no longer autistic!”

Andres is now 14 years old, he is perfectly normal. He has no autistic or FAS behaviors at all. He is sweet, intelligent, bilingual, and loves the Lord.

I do not hold a medical degree, but in my personal studies about Biblical supernatural healing and by personal experience these diseases have a spiritual side to them that needs to be addressed as well as the physical.

How did I do this?

I sought the Lord and He heard me. (Psalm 34: 4) I sought the Lord, and He heard me,
and delivered me from all my fears. NKJV
I studied the Word of God concerning healing. (2 Timothy 2: 15) Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. NKJV
I prayed and fasted for Andres’ deliverance and healing. (Mark 9: 29) So He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting.” NKJV
I obeyed what the Lord said to do. (John 2: 5) His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do ” NKJV
I stood strong, I did not give up. (Ephesians 6: 13) Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. NKJV
