Healing is for Today

Healing may be controversial, but it is biblical, and yes, healing is for today. God created the human body and it is a marvelous creation. It was created to be strong and healthy at all times. Then why does it so oftentimes get sick? From the time that Adam and Eve willing sinned against God, the World and everything within it fell. And it’s at this time of the original sin that corruption came into the world and into the physical body as well. But God had a plan, and it would include divine healing for our physical bodies today.

And because of the Fall God designed a plan of Redemption that would purchase back all that had been corrupted and lost, including divine healing for us. Whether it be spiritual, mental or emotional, or physical healing—Jesus paid the price, once and for all. And nowhere in Scripture will we find that He removed from His blood covenant His healing power for us today. Nor will we find an amendment to what was done at the whipping post to heal all that will believe in it.

But [in fact] He has borne our griefs,
And He has carried our sorrows and pains;
Yet we [ignorantly] assumed that He was stricken,
Struck down by God and degraded and humiliated [by Him].

But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing];
The punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him,
And by His stripes (wounds) we are healed. Isaiah 53:4-5, AMP.

To propose that supernatural healing is not for today is blasphemous against the blood of Jesus shed at the whipping post to purchase all healing for us. To suggest that God put sickness and disease upon your body for any reason whatsoever goes against the Word of God that declares “By His stripes we are healed”. And to say that He put this illness upon your body for a good reason is a works mentality and you lack a true understanding of grace. To declare that God chose not to heal you or your loved one is to call God a liar. It not only declares war against all that Jesus did for us at the whipping post, but it implies that God and His Word are not to be trusted when He ensures us that “He is not a man that He should lie.” (See Num. 23:19.) And that “He is the same yesterday, today, and forever”. (See Heb. 13:8.)

Why then does your healing take time to manifest? Or why does it not manifest at all? According to Jesus’ words, “Your faith makes you whole”. Faith in what? Faith in the redemptive blood of Jesus to heal.

“Daughter, said Jesus, “your faith has healed you; go in peace and be free of your affliction.” Mk. 5:34.

And He said to him, “Stand up and go; your faith has made you well.” Lk. 17:19.

Instead of blaming God for not completing His promise to heal, it’s time to take a good hard look in the mirror of God’s Word and speak the truth so that you and others can be free from the bondage of sickness and disease.

Be honest with yourself and with others, your faith is not, or was not strong enough to trust God for your healing. And then move forward, without condemnation, and develop your faith to believe for your healing. Remember, it is your faith that heals and makes you whole. And yes, healing is for today.

Praise the Healer Not the Disease

Praise the healer, not the disease. So many of God’s people have got this backwards. Instead of lifting up the name of their Healer, Yeshua, they exalt the name of the sickness or disease that the enemy, satan is using to destroy them with. Philippians 2:9-11 clearly says, “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth; and [that] every tongue should confess the Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

The name of Jesus is higher than cancer, diabetes, Lyme’s disease, HIV and all other disease, and yet God’s people continue to declare how powerful these wicked weapons of spiritual warfare are and deny the highest power of the greatest One, Jesus the Messiah.

Listening in on some conversations of Christians one would surmise that Jesus is the lesser power, powerless, even worse, careless towards His followers. When in reality He is Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals disease.

If God’s people would truly humble themselves, bow before their Creator they would come into the presence of His greatness and know firsthand the wonder of His name and the power behind His name.

All creation, including that which is in a fallen state, must bow before Jesus Christ. Sickness and disease are microscopic organisms that get into the human body and make people ill, but when put in their rightful place they too bow at the mention of His name, and obey His command, “Leave them at once!”.

So what name are you going to glorify? Cancer? Are you going to magnify Lyme’s disease? Will you continue to praise the mighty power of Diabetes in your life? Or will you humble yourself, bow your knee and declare that Jesus is Lord? And do as your Lord Jesus tells you to do.

What does He tell us to do? He tells us to remember all of His benefits, who pardons all iniquities, heals all disease, redeems our lives from destruction, crowns us with lovingkindness and tender mercies, satisfies our mouths with good things, and renews our youth like the eagles (Ps. 103:1-5).

It is time for God’s people to glorify the name of Jehovah Rapha, Who heals all disease, gives sight to the blind, opens up deaf ears, strengthens the weak, causes the paralytics to walk, releases those afflicted with demons. Glorify the name that is above all names, Jesus.

Emotional Health Can Affect Your Physical Health

You are depressed, your physical health is waning, and you can’t figure out what’s going on. Did you know that your emotional health can affect your physical health? Depression for example, is an ailment of the mind and the emotions that needs to be cured, and it can be by the redemptive blood of Jesus. Yes, you can take medications to mask the symptoms of that depression, but only an inward healing by Jesus can heal and take away that emotional illness. And when the root cause of emotional health such as depression is not healed it will weaken your physical stamina and make the body sick as well. So yes, emotional health can affect your physical health.

How do we effectively deal with emotional health problems? We first must recognize that yes, we have an emotional health problem that needs to be dealt with. Bring this infirmity of the mind and the emotions to Yeshua for an inward healing. This means that you need to be willing to confront the root issue head-on. And that isn’t always easy. It takes a brave soul to confront the painful issue that has weakened your emotional health. But it is the only way to be healthy emotionally again.

And let me be perfectly clear here that yes, emotional health issues such as depression, and other negative emotional quickly partner with the spirit of death and wreak utter havoc in our lives. Again, you must be willing to tackle this mental health issues, because if you do not it will overtake other areas of your life, especially your physical health.

Depression, like any other emotion can come upon anyone at any time, but it’s a problem when it lingers. I believe it lingers when we live in the emotional realm of past hurts and disappointments. And reliving the painful moment over and over again is a trap of the enemy to bring us down to his level of defeat where he can easily cause further harm. We need to recognize that these negative emotions have the power behind them to get us on a vicious cycle that is difficult to get free from.

The good news in all of this is that there is spiritual help to break free from emotional illness. Here are some steps to take to begin to heal emotionally.

Forgiveness. Apostle Paul writes to us in Ephesians 1:7 (NIV), “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.”
Eternal Life. Yeshua, our Redeemer, promises us, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
A New Beginning. Again, the apostle Paul gives us a message of hope in Second Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
Acceptance into His Family. Paul, an apostle of Christ, explains to us about our acceptance into God’s family, “In other words, it is not the children by physical descent who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring” (Romans 9:8, NIV).
Unconditional Love. The Word of the Lord in Jeremiah 31:3 (NIV) encourages us with these endearing words, “…I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.”

Dear Holy Spirit,

I need Your help to be free from this lingering mental illness. I do not desire to relive the pain of the past anymore. I desire to pass through the healing process with Your help. I thank You for Your forgiveness, and by faith I extend forgiveness to those that have wrongfully hurt me. I desire to experience Your unconditional love, acceptance into Your family, a new beginning, and eternal life with You–free from this mental disease, in Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

Focus On God’s Healing Promises, Not the Symptoms

We need to learn to focus on God’s healing promises, and not on the symptoms of sickness and disease. There will be times when we must literally force our mind to be silent. We must learn to fight the flesh to stay in in the presence of the Word to overcome the negative thoughts that fill the mind, and the physical pain and symptoms that rise against the body.

God’s Word tells us in Proverbs 4:21, “Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart.” And we are taught in Joshua 1:8, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” God’s Word is very clear here that to overcome adversity we need to fix our eyes on His promises.

We can’t focus on the sickness, pain, and symptoms, but rather on the Word. We must speak His healing promises, and magnify God with our words, and not the sickness. And thank the Lord that His healing power has been received into our physical body and that He is faithful and true to keep His Word. Telling everyone we see that we are in pain or not feeling well is not taking a posture of faith. It will only bear negative fruit. And we must stay away from people who would draw us into a realm of unbelief. If those around us are asking us how we are feeling, we can find creative ways to express a faith-filled response and not allow ourselves to be drawn into a negative, faithless conversation. Words have power! Our healing is in the confession of the tongue. And these words can prevent our healing from manifesting.

Here are a few healing promises to focus on this week.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:2-3 (NKJV).
He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Psalm 107:20 (NKJV).
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3 (NKJV).
Surely, He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly]considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy]. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole. Isaiah 53:4-5 (AMP).
I am the Lord who heals you. Exodus 15:26 (NKJV).

Healing Prayer for Brain Cancer

I pray in faith to Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals you (Exod. 15:26). I renounce this spirit of death, brain cancer, cancer cells, tumors, and the confusion taking place within the DNA of your brain cells. I speak creative miracles into the DNA of your brain cells, that they align themselves to God’s perfect design, their God-given life cycle, and that they live and die appropriately. They help you brain and do not cause it harm. I speak death to the very center of all cancerous cells and tumors and command them to die off and be supernaturally eliminated from your body. This cancer will not travel to other parts of your body. You be delivered from the spirit of death; healed from cancer, cancerous cells, and tumors; and filled with life and life in abundance (John 10:10). I declare that you will not die but live and declare the works of the Lord (Ps. 118:17), in Jesus’ name, amen.

A Prayer for Someone Enslaved to an Orphan Spirit

In Jesus’ name, I lift up (name of person) to You, Father. I bind the strongman, the orphaned spirit that is afflicting, (him/her) with lies of rejection and abandonment, fears of being unloved, unwanted and uncared for. I release the Father’s love over (name of person) and the ability to trust and receive the Spirit of Adoption. I pray for them to have the strength and maturity to confront the past in a healthy manner. That this person would take on the mind of Christ and begin to filter past, present, and future events through the truth of Your Word. Surround (name of person) with godly people who will lead and guide (him/her) in godly love and acceptance. I intercede for the deliverance from ungodly behavior and addictions. I declare that You will become this person’s Source of love, joy, and peace. That (he/she) will turn to You in times of loneliness and need and not to temporal fixes of this earth that profit nothing, only cause worse problems. In Jesus’ name, I intercede for (name of person), amen.

There is Help to Overcome Anxiety

Do you struggle with anxiety and panic attacks? Do you feel overwhelmed? Does your world feel like it’s caving in on all sides at once? There is help to overcome anxiety. Look to Jesus. He’s the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He will never leave you, or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

Sometimes we can feel overwhelmed because we focus on the problem, and in doing so we wind up magnifying our enemy the devil. When in reality, the things he whispers to us are just lies. In John 8:44, Jesus calls him the father of all lies. The devil takes the Scriptures and twists them, and he makes his lies believable to us; once we grab hold of his lies, then they can produce in our life. We are reminded by the words of God in Isaiah 41:10, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” We need to think about what we are dwelling upon–the promises of God or the lies of the devil.

When you feel the negative reports or circumstances are too much to bear, and you feel anxiety try to take control of your mind and emotions, slip away to a quiet place with the Lord. This does not need to be a physical place, but a spiritual one. You are instructed in Matthew 6:6 (NIV), “But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”

I have come to the realization over and over again that the more time I spend with God, the safer I feel in the security of His loving arms. And I encourage you, the next time you feel overwhelmed by life, choose instead to think about the following:

Focus on the love Jesus has for you.
Contemplate upon His mercy that He feels for you.
Take comfort in the fact that He wills to protect you.
Spend time with Him in prayer until His peace takes over in you.

Let’s pray.

Dear Holy Spirit,

I ask for Your help to overcome this anxiety controlling my mind and emotions. I desire to be free from this and walk in the peace of God that surpasses all understanding. Remind me with Your gentle nudge when I am entering into the realm of anxiety. I know that all things are possible with You, and I can’t do this without You. Thank You for being with me to help me walk in victory over anxiety, in the name of Jesus I pray, amen.

Stay Close to God, He Will Protect You (Prophetic Word)

The Lord God would say to you this day, “Know who your friends are, know who your neighbors are, and know who you can trust. For a grave darkness is passing through this earth, an evil presence like you have never witnessed before is covering the earth and will try to suffocate the very life out of you. But I say to you, I am your friend, and I will stick closer to you than a brother. I am your Redeemer, your Savior, your Good Shephard, and you can trust Me, for I will protect you from the wolves.

There are wolves in plain sight, and they are vicious. Then there are those that are wolves disguised in sheep’s clothing and they are extremely dangerous. If you will stay close to me, you will know who they are. Even though they are in disguise, you will discern that the wool they wear does not fit them quite right. By My Spirit you will discern that something is off with them, that is spiritually speaking. But nonetheless, they will try to pull the wool over your eyes. This is why you must be Intune with My Spirit, for I will reveal to you whom you can and cannot trust. Discernment is the key to this warning. For I have given to you, spiritual weapons that the enemy does not possess, and I give them to you freely. Spend time with Me My dear sheep. I will lead and guide you into all truth.

And fear not, for My rod and My staff will protect you. I beat the power of darkness off of you. And I have empowered you with an everlasting light, and it shall shine ever bright through you in the darkest of times. And My Word promises you that greater am I in you, than he, the devil is in this world. And I need you to choose to shine your light, don’t try to hide it, but allow the power of My Spirit to shine brightly through you.

I need you to trust Me, to follow close to Me, and allow Me to be all that I am through you. I will lead you through this darkness, and everywhere we go will be brighter because I am with you. I will never leave you or forsake you. Stay close to Me, for I will protect you.” Thus says the Lord God to you this day.
