10 Steps to Cleanse Your Family From the Strongholds of Witchcraft

Christians, actual followers of Jesus are struggling to get free from the strongholds of witchcraft, demons and demonic activity. And they are reaching out to be free. And the good news is our Lord wants His people free and is able to free us by the power of His redemptive blood. John 8:36 shares this promise of freedom with us, “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” Let’s look into how to break free from this stronghold.

First and foremost, our Messiah broke the bondage of the curse, including these strongholds at Calvary. Galatians 3:13 (NKJV) tells us, “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”)”. You may ask, “If this is so, then why am I or my loved one suffering from the strongholds of witchcraft, demons and demonic activity?” As with all promises found in God’s Word they must be faith activated. In other words we must believe, trust in God that His promise is true and then act upon the promise.

We have authority in Jesus’ name over satan and all of his wicked works against us. And it is time that we activate this all powerful authority in Jesus’ name. “Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Here are 10 steps to cleanse your family from the strongholds of witchcraft, demons, and demonic activity:

  1. Pray a prayer of repentance over yourself, and family.
  2. Forgive anyone you may be bitter towards, release them from your vengeance.
  3. Anoint your family with oil in the name of Jesus Christ, command the angry, violent, vial, dirty evil spirit or spirits off of them.
  4. Declare that a blood line of Jesus is drawn around your loved one.
  5. Release ministering angels to encircle them and command that the angels cry out the name of Jesus Christ 24×7, and others declare “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God almighty, Who was, Who is, and Who is to come.” 24×7 around them.
  6. Go through the house, and get rid of all satanic stuff, trinkets, music, books, dvds… Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal these things to you. Do not give them away to someone else, get rid of them, break them, or burn them.
  7. Anoint all doorways, windows with oil and declare the power of the Holy Spirit to infiltrate that place.
  8. Play worship music 24×7, it does not have to be loud, but constant. Demons hate this and can’t handle it.
  9. Pray in the Spirit over your family.
  10. Write up a confession of faith for his deliverance, make it strong, leave nothing out. And read it out loud over him several times per day. Record it if possible on a cd and play this constantly. There is the power of life and death in every word that we speak, even moans and groans have a meaning to them.

These 10 steps will cleanse, deliver and heal you and your loved ones when believed and acted upon.

Victory Over Satan’s Hidden Agenda Against Us

It is time for us to bring into the light satan’s hidden agenda against us. Great evil has been unleashed against us, but does this mean that we are defeated and powerless against his wicked schemes against us? Certainly not! But in order to overcome we must know what God says about this secret agenda against us. It’s time for victory–read on!

Number one, we have a beginning and it starts with Elohim–Father God our creator, Jesus Christ our redeemer, Holy Spirit our teacher, comforter and strength. Our enemy, satan abhors our beginning, and this is why he tries so hard to hide this foundational truth from our youth. But the Word of God, our standard clearly opens up with this truth, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth,” Genesis 1:1. The evolution theory comes from the devil, himself, but the opening verse in the Holy Bible trumps his lies.

He also lives in fear that we would know that we are created in the mirror image of God. This is why he fights so hard against us from knowing God’s plan for our creation found in Genesis 1:26-28. Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” It was the plan of Father God, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit to create us in His mirror image, and to rule and reign as His kings and priests on this earth. Revelation 1:6 shares this powerful truth, “And hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” And he fears us knowing this truth. Why? Because when we realize who we really are we become lethal against him.

And this is the reason for the transgender confusion against our youth–our future generations. If he can confuse the people about our beginning and identity, we cannot activate our authority over him. What does Jesus  reveal to us about our authority in Luke 10:19? Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” But if we do not know who we are, even in the natural realm, “How are we ever going to understand who we are spiritually speaking and the authority that we have been given?”  So our enemy sends out spirits of confusion to prevent this truth from being revealed to us, so we do not defend ourselves against his wickedness.

What does Jesus say about our true enemy, the devil, the serpent of old, satan, himself? “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly,” John 10:10. What is the enemy stealing from the people? Security, peace, reassurance that there is a living-God that loves and cares for us and has a destiny and a purpose for us.

Let’s turn to our beginning–our conception found in Psalm 139:13-16. For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.” No matter the circumstances surrounding our beginning God was very involved in our creation. I am not saying that He planned for someone to be raped, but I am saying that even in horrific situations He was not ashamed of you. He had His eye upon you, and preplanned your destiny and purpose. He knew how you would come into this earth, but those tragic happenings would not stop His will and ability to fashion you for His glory. And this is good news to many, How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; when I awake, I am still with You,” Psalm 139:17-18. And concerning plans and purposes this is what He declares over you, His beloved, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future,” Jeremiah 29:11.

I Don’t Understand Healing

I believe God can handle an honest question about healing. But after we ask, we need to be willing to receive an honest answer. A woman writes and seeks answers as to why her mother died and others, including herself are sick.

“Dear Becky,
I lost my mum to Liver cancer on 31st august. I’m depressed and devastated. I’m asking God a lot of questions. Why didn’t He answer our prayers? She/we prayed, declared, confessed, renounced. Spoke to the cancer to die yet it took my mum. The body of Christ stood in the place of prayers for her yet she died. You too prayed for her. I don’t understand and I’m scared.
My husband is suffering from hepatitis B, he is always taking drugs. I keep praying and speaking to the virus yet no improvement.
My younger sister is sick. Doctors can’t diagnose it. She is a full time missionary. We have been praying and renouncing yet no improvement.
Even myself is not well. I have a swollen lymph under my armpit, my breast aches. I feel pain around my liver. I have been praying, people are praying, I have been confessing and renouncing all the sickness. But no change. And on top of that I’m suffering from infertility.
Is God going to watch and do nothing while sickness finish me and my entire family. I used to have rugged faith but my mum’s death has left me broken and in doubt. My family and I need a miracle. I don’t want to suffer from cancer, I don’t want cancer to take me, my husband or siblings. None of these diseases have a cure except God shows us mercy.
I’m sorry to speak in this way. It’s not Christian like. But I’m frustrated and unhappy.”

According to Isaiah 53:4-5 Jesus Christ has done all that He is and can do. He shed His blood for us to pay the price for all sin and the consequences of the original sin (the fall of Adam and Eve), and even our own sins open up doors to sickness and disease. Also, just because we pray in faith doesn’t mean the person being prayed for receives our prayers of faith, they do have a part to play in this issue. And most Christians miss out on their manifested healing because they speak wrong words, negative words like you are speaking in this post. Your words possess the power of life and death (Proverbs 18:21), meaning we are prophesying over our bodies and situations constantly throughout the day. We live in the words that we are constantly and consistently speaking over ourselves. I can guarantee you that the individuals you speak of, or those around them have been speaking words of death, disease and symptoms and not declaring the Word of the Lord over them. Lastly, our actions must line up to our words of faith. If we say that we are healed, then we need to act like we are healed. I hope this helps because truth about healing will set us free in the area of healing. Blessings, Becky

4 Steps to Find Your Source of Encouragement

You may be struggling with discouragement today, and if this is you I want to share 4 steps to find your source of encouragement, so that you can overcome discouragement and enter into the supernatural realm of God’s encouragement.

A woman wrote me  with the following need for prayer for her miracle. She shared, “My cancer returned after three years and I feel so bad. I am going to undergo radiation and chemo in the next few days. I need prayer. Please, I need help to get new cells and lymph nodes, and complete healing and removal of all cancer cells in my body.”

This lady received a negative medical report, and naturally discouragement follows right behind  the negative words of “cancer returns.” And so too the spirit of fear floods her memories of the pain she experienced years ago with all the radiation and chemo treatments and procedures. Knowing she needs help to overcome this discouragement and the deadly attack against her life, she does the right thing and reaches out to someone who will encourage her in the faith to stand strong on the promise of God’s Word, “by His stripes she is healed.”

But [in fact] He has borne our griefs, and He has carried our sorrows and pains; yet we [ignorantly] assumed that He was stricken, struck down by God and degraded and humiliated [by Him]. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing]; the punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him, and by His stripes (wounds) we are healed. Isaiah 53:4-5, AMP.

Perhaps, you are in a similar situation as this woman and need help to get out of the realm of discouragement and find someone who will offer hope to trust God for a miracle. If so, you are not alone; many struggle to find a bit of encouragement these days. Let’s face it, the news is gloomy, social media is filled with hate, and in general, people have become so negative.

So, where do God’s people find a word of hope? Right from the source — God’s Word. And this is where we are going to turn to right now and search the Scriptures to fight off discouragement.

Let’s begin with a prayer directly to the Source of encouragement: “From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I” (Psalm 61:2 NIV).

Psalm 27:14 gives us biblical instruction on how to overcome discouragement: “Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!” We are to wait on the Lord with hope, with expectancy, like a pregnant woman awaits the blessed day for the birth of her child.

Consider the word “wait” in a different manner, not just a s a period of time passing by waiting for something to happen, but to wait to serve the Lord. Look at this well-known verse from Isaiah 40:31 in this way, “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”

As we serve the Lord with a true heart, our strength is renewed. We are filled with joy; and because joy is a supernatural strength, we become stronger as we serve Him. And to clarify what I mean by serving the Lord, it doesn’t mean to take on another task at your local place of fellowship, but to wait upon Him as follows:

Four Steps to Find Your Source of Encouragement

  1. Believe God. In the Gospel according to John, our beloved Jesus comforts us with His words in John 14:1, “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.”
  2. Worship Him in spirit and in truth. Jesus tells us in John 4:24, “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
  3. Pray in the Spirit and encourage yourself. Apostle Paul instructs us in First Corinthians 14:4 (NIV) how to encourage ourselves. He says, “Anyone who speaks in a tongue edifies themselves, but the one who prophesies edifies the church.”
  4. Perfect the love of God in you by His Word. Apostle John writes to us in First John 2:5 (NIV), “But if anyone obeys His word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in Him.”

If you follow these simple steps, you will find your Source of encouragement in Christ and overcome the enemy’s power of discouragement.

Why and How Do We Help?

We can clearly see that this world is a mess. And it’s only going to get worse, but does this mean we do nothing? No, the biblical response to the end time’s crisis is just the opposite. Let’s build ourselves up in the Scriptures and see why and how do we help.

Second Corinthians 5:20 states that we are ambassadors of Christ. As ambassadors we represent Yeshua, we speak His language, and we do what He does. And as His representatives on this earth we must be about our heavenly Father’s business and seriously win souls. The time to win the lost is running out, and we are told to work while there is still daylight, because darkness is coming upon us. And He who wins souls is wise. Let’s be wise and shine our light in the darkness for the glory of the Lord. (See John 9:4, Proverbs 11:30, Matthew 5:14-16.)

We need to be willing to step out of our comfort zone, and be strong and of good courage; not be afraid, nor be dismayed, knowing that our Lord is with us wherever we go. (See Joshua 1:9.)

We need to stop being self-centered, and love our neighbors as ourselves. (See 1 Corinthians 13:5-7, Mark 12:31.) We need to repent from this “Selfie-Society”, stop worshiping the flesh, and putting ourselves up on a pedestal, and get back to worshiping God, love Him with all our hearts and reach out in love to those around us.

We are to lead people to Jesus, and not to ourselves, and certainly not to our ministries, but to Jesus. We are imperfect humans and we will let people down and ministries will disappoint us as well. Jesus Christ is the only One that can take their brokenness and make them whole again. John 3:3 makes it plain, “Unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” It’s God and His kingdom they need to enter into , not ours’.

Matthew 10:28 tells us that we are not to fear what the enemy threatens to do to us. Romans 8:38-39 says, For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

We need to remember that when we speak, we are to speak the truth in love. (See Ephesians 4:15.) The world needs Christians to rise up in love and tell them the truth–no matter what. They also need Christians to live like they actually believe that Jesus is real, and that He’s coming back soon! (See 2 Corinthians 5:7-17.) Spineless religious people lead people to hell!

It’s time for us to do as James teaches us in James 2: 17, 20, and in verse 26, and put action behind our faith-filled words. And remember that faith without works is dead!

I realize times are tough, the enemy is trying hard to intimidate us, but despite all of this we are told in First Timothy 6:12 to “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”

On a practical note, we need to begin to smile again, show ourselves friendly. (See Proverbs 15:13, 30.) Let’s not be shy around people, but boldly tell them Jesus is real, and He loves them very much. And I would like to end this word of encouragement with these words from the Great Commission, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

I pray that this word of encouragement has strengthened your faith as to why and how do we help those around us.

What Does God Say About Your Faith?

Have you taken the time to investigate what God says about your faith. It might surprise you at what an amazing gift you have been given from God. Let’s take a few moments to search the Scriptures to find out what does God say about your faith.

We Have Been Given a Measure of Faith

Sometimes we don’t see ourselves clearly as we out to, but the truth is we have all been given a measure of faith, and how we use our measure is up to each one of us.

For by the grace [of God] given to me I say to everyone of you not to think more highly of himself [and of his importance and ability] than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has apportioned to each a degree of faith [and a purpose designed for service], Romans 12:3, AMP.

The New King James Version states this degree of faith like this, “God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.”

Even a Little Bit of Faith is Powerful

You May think that your faith is small in measure, but look at what you can do with it.

So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you, Matthew 17:20.

What is that mountain standing in front of you? God has given you the responsibility and His ability to make it move out of the way. What are you going to do about it?

Faith Guides Us

For we walk by faith, not by sight, 2 Corinthians 5:7.

We might not understand how this miracle is going to come about, and that’s okay. What counts is that we allow this supernatural tool–our faith to lead us down God’s miraculous pathway to the miraculous.

Faith is Our Evidence

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, Hebrews 11:1.

God’s truth of the matter is not those medical test results, but the foundation of your faith. God’s report says in Isaiah 53:4-5 (AMP), But [in fact] He has borne our griefs, and He has carried our sorrows and pains; yet we [ignorantly] assumed that He was stricken, struck down by God and degraded and humiliated [by Him]. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing]; the punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him, and by His stripes (wounds) we are healed.”

Our Faith Heals Us

What did the Lord say to the blind man? Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road. Mark 10:52.

The woman who bled for twelve years heard the Messiah say these words about her faith and healing. “And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”” Luke 8:48.

We activate our measure of faith in many ways every day. When it comes to sickness and disease we can activate our faith in the sickness or in the Lord’s healing power. I choose to heal by my faith. What about you?

Our Faith Pleases God

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him, Hebrews 11:6.

I believe most of us want to please God, and He has provided us with the supernatural tool to do so–faith. So perhaps, you are being accused of being “Way out there!”, but in reality you are pleasing to God. And at the end of every day this is what counts.

Our Faith is Tested

Knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. James 1:3.

Our faith is so important to God that He actually tests it, and it always produces what He desires for us–patience. And this patience is one of the gifts of the Spirit that we need to operate in this life. See Galatians 5:22-23.

Increase Our Faith

We see in Luke 17:5-6 that the apostles said the the Lord, “Increase our faith!”. And in Mark 9:22-23 we read about the man’s response to Jesus when he brought his epileptic son to be healed, “Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”” And you may be crying out to God like this man, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” And even if you find yourself in this situation God has a plan of action in Romans 10:17 to increase your faith. “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

How do we increase our faith?

  1. We read the Word of God.
  2. Not only do we read it, we study it.
  3. It’s not enough to just study the Word of God, we must speak it out from our mouths.
  4. And then we have to put action behind those spoken words of faith.

Does Satan Fear You?

Does satan fear you? It’s actually a good question to ask ourselves. We are living in a day and age when he has many of God’s people living in fear of him, and fear what those that are controlled by him will do if they do as God would have them do. So I ask the question again, “Does satan fear you?”

What does God’s Word tell us about the character of the devil? In John 8:44 Jesus is very forthright about the enemy’s character and those that follow after him. He says, “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.” What’s the one thing a liar fears the most? The truth. To put it plain and simple, the devil is a liar. And if you are a bearer of truth he will fear you. Ephesians 4:25 confirms that we are to speak truth, “Therefore, laying aside falsehood, speak truth each one of you with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.”

The Bible also tells us that the devil is the accuser of the brethren in Revelation 12:10. We all know this to be true. How many times has the enemy tried to stop you from believing and obeying our Lord by whispering condemnation against us as to why we can not do this or that? And what does this Scripture from Revelation 12:10 actually say about this? “Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.” I’m telling you this is a truth that the enemy fears and does not like to be reminded about–use this verse liberally against him. He does not like to hear the end result of his rebellion against God and us.

And in John 10:10 Jesus does not meander around the bush when he says, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” Will you willfully allow a known thief to come into your house to steal, to kill and to destroy your family? Or will you fight him off and tell him to take a hike? This is exactly as we should do when the devil comes to near us to cause us harm. After all, Jesus empowered us with all of His authority over satan and all of his wicked works, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you”, Luke 10:19. If you are passive and unwilling to fight off the enemy he will walk all over you. But if he knows you will aggressively fight him, and you are determined and known to fight through to the victory he will fear coming against you.

And for those that are known to fight the good fight of faith until we reach the land of our manifested promise here is a word of caution. The enemy is sly old devil, and he will use twist the truth just enough to get you to believe him. That’s what happened in the Garden of Eden when he spoke to Eve and said that if she would take of the forbidden fruit she would be like God. The truth is that she and Adam were already created in the mirror image of God, but he twisted the truth a little bit to make it sound like the Gospel truth to her. (See Genesis 3.) Let’s look to a few of these divine warnings found in the Scriptures.

But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ, 2 Corinthians 11:13.

No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light, 2 Corinthians 11:14.

Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil, Ephesians 6:11.

I am going to ask the question one more time, “Does satan fear you?” He should, and you need to be in the position that he does. We are created in the mirror image of God, (see Genesis 1:26-28). We have been given all the authority in Christ to overcome satan and all of his wicked works, (see Luke 10:19). Activate your identity in Christ and all of His authority over these wicked attacks and make the devil fear you.

Take Possession of the “I Can” Attitude

It’s time for the body of Christ to take possession of the “I Can” attitude. Why? Because the majority of God’s people walk around with a defeatist attitude. They’ve taken on the negative views of the world’s failures. And this is not how God designed His people to live. He created us to be creatures of faith, not negative beings filled with doubt and unbelief. When the enemy, satan is coming at us with a thousand reasons why he says we can’t accomplish that faith project, the Spirit of the Living God is quietly speaking to our hearts, “Oh yes you can!” It’s time for the body of Christ to take possession of the “I Can” attitude.

While the world is falling apart around us, how can you take on this “I Can” attitude? First of all, you have to understand where this “I Can” attitude comes from. It comes from God. And He created you in His mirror image– a supernatural faith-being. The moment you are born-again your spirit becomes reborn, and eternally bound to be with Him. You become His child endowed with a rich inheritance. You might be thinking to yourself, “What is this rich inheritance that I have been given?” Faith. Faith is the richest currency this world has ever seen. It is limitless because it it founded upon the redemptive blood of Jesus. Let your thoughts ponder upon these facts for awhile, “You are created in the image of God”, see Genesis 1:26-28. “You are a child of God”, see 1 John 3:1. And “You have been given a measure of faith”, see Romans 12:3.

When you are born again you surpass all the earthly boundaries such as; wealth, status, education… Your faith in Christ overrides all these limits, and you step into a new realm–the kingdom of God. And in His kingdom faith is the currency, the blood of Jesus is the gold that backs your faith, and your faith in action releases this limitless power of the blood into your situation. And it is in the reality of His arena that you can confidently take on this “I Can” attitude, because we know that “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”, Philippians 4:13. And with this “I Can” attitude you can activate that healing for your body through Christ who strengthens you. You can overcome this world’s economy of lack because Jesus gives you the supernatural strength of His faith to do as His Word tells us to Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you”, Luke 6:38. Whatever that mountain represents in your life that’s standing in your way you can move it by faith, see Mark 11:22-23.

This is the reason that you can remove the limitations placed upon you by this negative world and put on the “I Can” attitude and trust God to do the impossible in and through you. Learn to prophesy God’s promise from Philippians 4:13 over yourself and say aloud to yourself, and say this often over yourself, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”  Yes, it’s time for the Church to take possession of the “I Can” attitude for the glory of the Lord.

Scripture Helps

Ready or Not the Battle is Raging

Ready or not the battle is raging all around us now. According to Ephesians 6 it’s time to wear that breastplate of righteousness with courage, tighten up the belt of truth, shod our feet with His peace, strap on that helmet of Salvation, pick up our shield of faith, and pierce the heart of our enemy with the sword of the Spirit. Because whether we are ready or not the battle is raging.

It’s time to wear that breastplate of righteousness with courage, knowing that it is not your righteousness that you are wearing, but the righteousness of Christ. And accepting His righteousness by faith will give us all the courage we need to overcome the fear of wars and rumors of war. Second Corinthians 5:21 testifies to us that, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” It is not about our works, but the work Christ worked out at Calvary on our behalf, and this is shouting news! Our enemy, satan can’t stand against the righteousness of Christ within us. Wear this spiritual breastplate of our Savior’s righteousness with confidence.

What is the truth behind this supernatural belt we have been given to gird ourselves with? Number one fact about truth is that it is certainty. It’s being in accord with fact or reality. Paul tells us in Romans 8:37 God’s fact, His reality, and His certainty about us, “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” A conqueror is one who conquerors what is rising up against them. God’s truthful word tells us that we are more than conquerors. In other words, we are above defeat. Allow this nugget of truth to sink in and live like you are created to be–a winner, victorious, and above the defeating powers of satan.

Ephesians 6 says that we are to shod our feet with peace. What is a foot shod?  A spiritual shoe; something to aid our movement. This piece of armor is to aid our movement and defense and not our appearance. Spiritually speaking, this is a military measure to protect and defend ourselves against the wiles of the devil, himself. And when we speak of peace we need to know this is not referring to earthly peace, but the peace of God which surpasses all human understanding. I have found through experience during heavy warfare with the devil and his attacks that this peace of God is not a feeling, but a supernatural place with God. We are to press through the battle, no matter how fierce the attack of the devil may be, we walk through the battle until we walk into God’s promise of manifested victory. And it is this spiritual shoe of His peace that we are able to get there.

I say, “Strap on that helmet of Salvation!”, don’t allow it to fall off during this fierce battle ahead of us. Matthew 24:13 clearly warns us that, But he who endures to the end shall be saved.” Many are falling away from the faith right now, and many more will fall with them, but hold onto the power of His amazing grace that has delivered us in spirit, soul and in physical body from sin and the wages of sin–death. What does God’s Word say about Salvation in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

I say it is time to pick up your shield of faith. And what does the Word of God tell us about faith? First John 5:4 reports, “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” And with this victorious power of our faith we can speak to that stubborn mountain and it will obey our command, For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” What does Jesus say about our faith? He responds to the woman with the issue of blood found in Luke 8:48, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.” To the one leper who returns to give thanks for his healing Jesus says in Luke 17:19, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.” And again, we see in Luke 18:42 Jesus admonishes the blind beggar, “Receive your sight; your faith has made you well.”

And finally I want to address the sword of the Spirit. What is this supernatural weapon? Ephesians 6:17 tells us that this spiritual sword is the Word of God–the Holy Bible. Quoting the Word of God while the enemy, satan is raging all hell against you is a mighty force that stops him dead in his tracks. He fears the power of the Word of God spoken over him in faith. Hebrews 4:12 tells us concerning the Word of God that, “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Use the Scriptures liberally and continually throughout the day. Allow the supernatural power of God’s Word to protect you from the attacks of satan today and always.

In closing, we know the Good News–we win! But this does not mean we do not fight the battle. We are told to fight the good fight of faith. So pick up all your spiritual weapons because ready or not the battle is raging.
