Never underestimate the power of healing, whether it be your healing or the healing of another in these turbulent days. Healing points to the Messiah. It proves that the God you have been professing all these years is real. It grabs the attention of the unbeliever: “And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did” (Acts 8:6). This is why the enemy fights so hard against this message. He is afraid of the fruit of salvation that is harvested through healing.
Take the limits off God about who can and who cannot be healed. Throughout all these years of ministering healing to people around the world, I stand amazed at just who receives their healing and who doesn’t receive what God has for them. I have witnessed the most rebellious people on the streets receive instant healing, and they are so amazed that in the midst of all their rebellion that someone reached out in the name of Jesus and they were healed.
While ministering on the streets of Guatemala City, a young rebellious teenage boy was screaming obscenities in my husband’s and my face because he hated who we represented–God. But when his freshly broken arm (broken in a gang fight earlier that day) was instantly healed, he stopped his filthiness and listened and heard us give the message of the Lord.
These amazing miracles proclaim loudly the Gospel of Jesus Christ and hail the praise of our Messiah. The hearts of the rebellious are absolutely stunned by the power of grace bestowed upon them as a dead baby in the womb of a young prostitute comes back to life, infected stab wounds are healed, kids with STD are set free from suffering within a moment of time. These miraculous healings confirm our evangelistic words about our loving and living God.
And God is just waiting for us to set our faith in motion on behalf of other people. When we do, great things happen.
How about we take this to your own neighborhood, the street where you live, and start with your next-door neighbor? When you hear that they are sick and dying from cancer, what are you going to do about it? will you take the risk of rejection and reach out in the name of the Lord and share the love of God with them through al healing touch? Do you understand the impact you can start to have all around you in these last days? I am telling you, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by being willing and obedient to the command in the Great Commission.
Let’s read this great commission again and remind ourselves what the Lord would have us do:
And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” (Mark 16:15-18).

I believe God can handle an honest question about healing. But after we ask, we need to be willing to receive an honest answer. A woman writes and seeks answers as to why her mother died and others, including herself are sick.
“Dear Becky,
I lost my mum to Liver cancer on 31st august. I’m depressed and devastated. I’m asking God a lot of questions. Why didn’t He answer our prayers? She/we prayed, declared, confessed, renounced. Spoke to the cancer to die yet it took my mum. The body of Christ stood in the place of prayers for her yet she died. You too prayed for her. I don’t understand and I’m scared.
My husband is suffering from hepatitis B, he is always taking drugs. I keep praying and speaking to the virus yet no improvement.
My younger sister is sick. Doctors can’t diagnose it. She is a full time missionary. We have been praying and renouncing yet no improvement.
Even myself is not well. I have a swollen lymph under my armpit, my breast aches. I feel pain around my liver. I have been praying, people are praying, I have been confessing and renouncing all the sickness. But no change. And on top of that I’m suffering from infertility.
Is God going to watch and do nothing while sickness finish me and my entire family. I used to have rugged faith but my mum’s death has left me broken and in doubt. My family and I need a miracle. I don’t want to suffer from cancer, I don’t want cancer to take me, my husband or siblings. None of these diseases have a cure except God shows us mercy.
I’m sorry to speak in this way. It’s not Christian like. But I’m frustrated and unhappy.”
