Speak “To” and “Not About” that Mountain

So often, people speak about the mountain, the problem, the sickness or disease when Jesus clearly says to us in Matthew 17:20 that we are to speak to the mountain. “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”

As a healing evangelist people say they want to speak to me about their healing, but what I often find out is that what they really want to discuss with me is about the sickness, the disease, the weakness, or the problem. And as I try to teach them about God’s healing power, and how to activate it in their lives they continue to go back to the disease. This scenario is a prime example of someone that speaks “About”, and “Not to” that mountain.

When we speak “About” the sickness we magnify it with our words. We actually give it more power, more strength inside our bodies. It is like when a man verbally beats down his wife, eventually his daily beating breaks her down, and he reaps what he sows, a sick relationship. The physical body responds the same way. It will become weak and sick as we continue to speak ill words over it. And I doubt that is what we desire.

Our Lord, Jesus Christ teaches us that “If we have faith as a mustard seed, we will say “To” this mountain to ‘Move from here to there’, and it will move.” If this mountain standing in front of you is sickness you will say to it, “Get out of my body in Jesus’ name”. If you believe in the power of the words you speak it will happen.

It all comes down to two things, the first being responsibility, and the second is choice. In Isaiah 53:4-5 he Great Physician, Jesus Christ has already released His healing power for us. But just as it is with the gift of Salvation so too is this great gift of healing that our Lord gave to us by the power of His shed blood.

But [in fact] He has borne our griefs, and He has carried our sorrows and pains; yet we [ignorantly] assumed that He was stricken,
struck down by God and degraded and humiliated [by Him]. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing]; the punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him, and by His stripes (wounds) we are healed, Isaiah 53:4-5, AMP.

This healing promise must first be believed and then it can be received into our bodies. But it is a choice to believe or not to believe, this is part of our free will. And with free will comes great responsibility. And when we are responsible with God’s promises and choose to believe in God’s promise we reap the blessing of all of His benefits.

Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:
Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s, Psalm 103:1-5, NKJV.

God gives to us His promise for healing, and He also tells us what we must do, “Believe”, and then we speak words of faith “To” and “Not about” the disease. And when we follow His instruction His promise comes to pass, and we are healed.

3 Spiritual Goals for Living Through these Last Days

We can clearly see, even with our natural eyes that the last days are upon us. People all around the world are crying out for deliverance from oppression, and freedom to exercise their own free will. The masses are hitting the streets protesting the injustice that is taking place worldwide. While others are suffering from drought, wildfires, flooding, violence, and invasion. Everything is ramping up for the antichrist to step in and take over.

You might be asking, “What do I do to live in God’s victory through these last days?” Excellent question! I have written up three spiritual goals to live through these last days victoriously. Let’s look at them.

My first goal to living in these last days is to: “’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’ and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” Luke 10:27. This is the cure-all for self-centeredness.

My second goal for living through these last days is to be about my heavenly Father’s business and invite as many as will come. Proverbs 11:30 tells us, “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.” I want to make sure that those within my arena of influence know that I am a follower of Christ Jesus, and give them the opportunity to do so as well.

My third goal for living in these last days is from Isaiah 55:12. “For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace; The mountains and the hills shall break forth into singing before you, And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.” I have made the decision that no matter what I will go through during these pressing times that I will keep my self filled with joy. Remembering all that He has done for me, and where I am headed with Him. And I will keep my mind and emotions stayed on Him and remain in the realm of His perfect peace that is not of this world, but comes directly from Him.

I believe that this list of 3 spiritual goals for living in these last days will help us to live in victory no matter what may come our way.

God’s Promise of Protection

God’s Word is filled with promises for protection. But as we study His Word we see that with every promise we have a part to play. God is warning us of grave danger, but will we heed His warnings?

Years ago, while I was ministering to many people who were suffering and dying from HIV in East Africa, my heart was greatly saddened by this plague that was attacking these people. And I began to do what I know to do, intercede for the Salvation of the people, both spiritually and physically. And while doing so Holy Spirit gave me a simple vision of the Ark. In this vision, there was a warm and inviting fire inside the Ark, and those who believed in Jesus Christ were sitting securely around this little fire, with all of their needs met, while a fierce storm was raging all around them outside the safety of the Ark.

In the Book of Genesis, we read in chapter six the account of Noah and the Ark. The earth was filled with evil and all forms of corruption, and God was going to send a flood that would destroy all of humankind and every living thing on the earth–except for one man, his family, and a group of animals–to clean the earth of such physical and spiritual filth.

Noah was the only righteous man left on the earth, and he found favor in the eyes of the Lord. The Lord gave him exact instructions on how to build an ark. This ark would become the salvation for him and his family, and they would be used by God to replenish the earth. It would become the only safe place left on all the earth, and it would be for a man who dared to believe God when all others laughed and mocked him to scorn. He appeared to everyone who knew him to be the foolish one. Yet, this did not stop him from obeying the voice of the Lord, and he constructed this ark according to the word of the Lord that he heard. Despite all the criticism, this man remained faithful and did as he was instructed.

As we read the testimony of Noah these are the faith principles that guided his life:

  • He was a just man.
  • He was blameless and a man of integrity.
  • He walked with God.
  • He obeyed God.

In the seventh chapter of Genesis, we read how Noah, his family, and the animals came into the ark, and after they had entered, the Lord shut the door. The foundations of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened, and it rained for 40 days and 40 nights. A grave storm was raging, and they could hear the reports of death screaming all around them, yet they remained safe inside the ark.

Just as the ark was their salvation, today the ark represents our redemption through the blood of Jesus Christ. He is the only way to Salvation; there is no other way, but through him. “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me”, John 14:6. Will we listen to Him and heed His warnings?

In Genesis, chapter eight, we see the deliverance of Noah and his family, and every living creature that was with him.

The God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the animals that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided (Genesis 8:1).

The wind God made to pass over the Earth represents the Holy Spirit, And it was by His power that the miracle they needed was released on the earth. The power of that wind continues to be released for us as well. No matter what we have need of today, His wind is blowing.

In Genesis 9:12-17, we read about the sign of the promise, the rainbow, and how God set this beautiful bow of colors in the sky as a reminder for perpetual generations to come that He would never again destroy all flesh with a flood.

In closing, regardless of the storms raging all around us, despite the grievous death reports given to us, no matter how much we are ridiculed and mocked, the wind of His Holy Spirit has been released and is blowing throughout the whole earth looking for people to show Himself strong through. He remains faithful and ever true to keep His promises to us, and He has given us instruction in His Word on how to enter into His ark of healing. The question remains, “Will we enter in?” God promises us about healing, “For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord. (See Jeremiah 30:17.)

5 Ways to Use Positive Words to Release Healing

I find that within the body of Christ there is confusion and even downright unbelief with the biblical teachings about the power of our spoken words. The Bible is very clear in Proverbs 18:21, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” To help you walk in this supernatural power of the spoken word I have included a list of 5 ways to use positive words to release healing into every area of your life.

Declare praises to Jehovah Rapha and His faithfulness to keep His healing promises. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases” (Psalm 103:2-3).

Declare: I give praise and glory to You, Jehovah Rapha, for Your faithfulness to keep and honor Your healing promise to me, by Your stripes I am forever healed. Because of the power of Your blood, I live a life that is full of health and strength. No longer am I weak, because You are strong in me. And by Your resurrection power, this premature death has been eradicated from within.

Produce supernatural healing with the power of prophetic words, “(as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did” (Romans 4:17).

Declare: I will not die, but live and testify of Your great goodness toward me. Nothing harmful may grow inside or on the outside of my body. My blood is washed clean and made whole. My immune system heals itself the way God intended it to.

Encourage trust to believe for God’s miraculous ways, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5).

Declare: My trust is in Jehovah Rapha and in His healing power. I do not rely upon medical reports and results to dictate the state of my well-being. By my faith in His healing virtue I am healed and made whole.

Deny ownership of sickness and disease by claiming the power of the blood of Jesus. “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord” (Psalm 118:17).

Declare: By the power of His blood and the promise of His Word, I am healed and made whole. In the name of Jesus, I do not receive this death report. No, my healing is bought and paid for in full at the whipping post. Jesus shed His blood so I can walk while on this earth in the abundance of His life-giving blood.

Guard the body from sickness and disease by prohibiting its entrance. “No weapon formed against you shall prosper …” (Isaiah 54:17).

Declare: I decree supernatural protection around my physical body, and non of satan’s mass weapons of destruction, including any form of sickness and disease, may enter into my body. I am strong and healthy, and illness cannot possess me, not rob me of my life; in Jesus’ name, I am protected.

Why and How Do We Help?

We can clearly see that this world is a mess. And it’s only going to get worse, but does this mean we do nothing? No, the biblical response to the end time’s crisis is just the opposite. Let’s build ourselves up in the Scriptures and see why and how do we help.

Second Corinthians 5:20 states that we are ambassadors of Christ. As ambassadors we represent Yeshua, we speak His language, and we do what He does. And as His representatives on this earth we must be about our heavenly Father’s business and seriously win souls. The time to win the lost is running out, and we are told to work while there is still daylight, because darkness is coming upon us. And He who wins souls is wise. Let’s be wise and shine our light in the darkness for the glory of the Lord. (See John 9:4, Proverbs 11:30, Matthew 5:14-16.)

We need to be willing to step out of our comfort zone, and be strong and of good courage; not be afraid, nor be dismayed, knowing that our Lord is with us wherever we go. (See Joshua 1:9.)

We need to stop being self-centered, and love our neighbors as ourselves. (See 1 Corinthians 13:5-7, Mark 12:31.) We need to repent from this “Selfie-Society”, stop worshiping the flesh, and putting ourselves up on a pedestal, and get back to worshiping God, love Him with all our hearts and reach out in love to those around us.

We are to lead people to Jesus, and not to ourselves, and certainly not to our ministries, but to Jesus. We are imperfect humans and we will let people down and ministries will disappoint us as well. Jesus Christ is the only One that can take their brokenness and make them whole again. John 3:3 makes it plain, “Unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” It’s God and His kingdom they need to enter into , not ours’.

Matthew 10:28 tells us that we are not to fear what the enemy threatens to do to us. Romans 8:38-39 says, For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

We need to remember that when we speak, we are to speak the truth in love. (See Ephesians 4:15.) The world needs Christians to rise up in love and tell them the truth–no matter what. They also need Christians to live like they actually believe that Jesus is real, and that He’s coming back soon! (See 2 Corinthians 5:7-17.) Spineless religious people lead people to hell!

It’s time for us to do as James teaches us in James 2: 17, 20, and in verse 26, and put action behind our faith-filled words. And remember that faith without works is dead!

I realize times are tough, the enemy is trying hard to intimidate us, but despite all of this we are told in First Timothy 6:12 to “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”

On a practical note, we need to begin to smile again, show ourselves friendly. (See Proverbs 15:13, 30.) Let’s not be shy around people, but boldly tell them Jesus is real, and He loves them very much. And I would like to end this word of encouragement with these words from the Great Commission, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

I pray that this word of encouragement has strengthened your faith as to why and how do we help those around us.

God Listens and Delivers

How often do you hear people complain that their doctor doesn’t have the time to listen to them?

Your Great Physician actually listens when you call to Him (see Ps. 4:3). But do you know that there is a certain type of prayer that draws His attention to us? This type of prayer is filled with words of faith. In Mark 11:24 Jesus gives us instruction about how to pray, “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”

Not only does He listen, but according to Psalm 34:17, “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.”

There are many different troubles that come with sickness and disease, especially when the world labels it long term. One trouble is financial. The woman with the issue of blood who bled for 12 years spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any (see Luke 8:43).

The thief not only steals our health and life with sickness and disease, but he will use the illness to dry up our finances so we are like the woman above and we have no resources to seek further help. This causes people to feel desperate and without hope, but with God there is always hope. And we need to hold on tightly to this supernatural power of hope, as it is the precursor to faith.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, Hebrews 11:1. Hope precedes faith. Hold onto that bit of hope no matter how small you think it might be, cultivate it and allow it to transform into faith. And with faith-filled words do as we are instructed in Hebrews 4:16, “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

If we wallow in self-pity and continue to falsely accuse God of being unfaithful to us and to the promises in His Word we will not see the manifestation of our healing. We need to make quality decisions in this life, come boldly before His throne of Grace, call upon His faithfulness and mercy, activate our faith and actually believe that He hears us and delivers our much needed healings.

Why the Enemy is After the Children

It’s clear that the enemy is after the children, but why? Why is he so bent upon their destruction? What could possibly be the real reason for these blatant attacks against them? What is he afraid of? Let’s turn to the Scriptures and find out why.

Why the destruction of the innocent lives of the preborn through the murderous attack of abortion?  The Word of the Lord to the prophet Jerimiah 1:5 as he was being called into the priesthood gives us great insight into this mystery. He says, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” You notice twice it says, “Before”, not during, not after, but before we are formed in our mother’s womb God knows us and has a destiny for each one of us to fulfill.

Another form of destruction in the lives of the children is with the identity crisis. Why is there such a strong push to strip the children of their basic identity? We can find the answer to this deep question in Genesis 1:26-28, Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

God ordained that all people were to be created in the image of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This word “image” means mirror image. The New Testament confirms this in First John 4:17, “Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.” Plainly put, we cannot mirror God’s image, and be like Him in this world if we do not understand that we are created in His image. We are the only created being created like Him. And with this great honor comes great responsibility, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

This mandate is filled with words of authority and power. But if we do not know we are created in His mirror image we can not activate this God-given authority and power, and this is exactly what the enemy wants–passive and powerless Christians. He fears the Messiah’s words in Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” We are given the authority of Christ to rule and reign as kings and priests on this earth, but we cannot do so effectively if we do not know who we are or that we have been given authority over the enemy. “And have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth.” Revelation 5:10.

And one final fear-point of the enemy that I want to state is found in Acts 2: 17-21 from the New King James version. ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams. And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy. I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath: blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.’”

The enemy fears the fulfillment of this prophesy about the children. He knows that in these last days that the Lord is pouring out His Spirit upon all of us, but especially, a special anointing is being poured out upon the youth of this world to bring in the end-time’s harvest of souls. Our enemy fears the everlasting fruit that they are created for while in their mother’s womb, predestined for before they were knitted in the womb, and anointed for during these last days. These are the main reasons why the enemy is after the children of these days, and seeks to steal, to kill and to destroy them (see John 10:10).

Let’s pray.

“Father God, in the name of Your precious and holy Son, Jesus Christ, I plead the power of His blood over the lives of our children, and their children. I declare words of faith that “No weapon formed against them shall prosper.” By words of faith we draw a blood line around them that the enemy cannot penetrate and prosper against them. We make prophetic utterance in their favor that they will know who they are, and they will activate the authority that they have been given, and become the kings and priest that you have ordained them to be for You and for Your glory. And we declare that they work together in harmony with Your Spirit and take the kingdom of God by force and go forth into the harvest fields and present to You a great and everlasting harvest for all of eternity to rejoice over. In Your precious and holy name, I declare these things so, amen and amen.”

Help—the Mountain Appears to be Getting Bigger and Stronger!

Jesus says to us in Matthew 17:20, So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” NKJV.

You are doing your part, declaring, decreeing, commanding, and demanding that this mountain of sickness be removed from your midst, but this mountain appears to be getting bigger and stronger. You need advice because you are not sure what is going on with this situation. You want help to heal.

First, some mountains are stronger than others, their foundations run deeper, there are even hidden strongholds that need be unearthed and dealt with. Strongholds such as unforgiveness, pride, shame, and fear just to name a few. Envision these strongholds as individual mountains within the main mountain. These issues must be dug up, exposed, and dealt with before the main mountain will move. You will have to destroy these internal mountains from the inside to the outside. While at the same time, maintain the faith of your words to bring the entire mountain down.

And remember, you will also rip apart the very fiber of satan’s pride and deception against you. He is not going to easily release his power grip on you. He is going to resist your efforts against him. You will have to fight to force his deadly jaw and the effects of his lying tongue to let you go in Jesus’ name.

As you continue to stand firm in your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and in the power of His redemptive blood He shed for you, this mountain will lose its strength and power and it will come down.

What Does God Say About Your Faith?

Have you taken the time to investigate what God says about your faith. It might surprise you at what an amazing gift you have been given from God. Let’s take a few moments to search the Scriptures to find out what does God say about your faith.

We Have Been Given a Measure of Faith

Sometimes we don’t see ourselves clearly as we out to, but the truth is we have all been given a measure of faith, and how we use our measure is up to each one of us.

For by the grace [of God] given to me I say to everyone of you not to think more highly of himself [and of his importance and ability] than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has apportioned to each a degree of faith [and a purpose designed for service], Romans 12:3, AMP.

The New King James Version states this degree of faith like this, “God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.”

Even a Little Bit of Faith is Powerful

You May think that your faith is small in measure, but look at what you can do with it.

So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you, Matthew 17:20.

What is that mountain standing in front of you? God has given you the responsibility and His ability to make it move out of the way. What are you going to do about it?

Faith Guides Us

For we walk by faith, not by sight, 2 Corinthians 5:7.

We might not understand how this miracle is going to come about, and that’s okay. What counts is that we allow this supernatural tool–our faith to lead us down God’s miraculous pathway to the miraculous.

Faith is Our Evidence

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, Hebrews 11:1.

God’s truth of the matter is not those medical test results, but the foundation of your faith. God’s report says in Isaiah 53:4-5 (AMP), But [in fact] He has borne our griefs, and He has carried our sorrows and pains; yet we [ignorantly] assumed that He was stricken, struck down by God and degraded and humiliated [by Him]. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing]; the punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him, and by His stripes (wounds) we are healed.”

Our Faith Heals Us

What did the Lord say to the blind man? Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road. Mark 10:52.

The woman who bled for twelve years heard the Messiah say these words about her faith and healing. “And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”” Luke 8:48.

We activate our measure of faith in many ways every day. When it comes to sickness and disease we can activate our faith in the sickness or in the Lord’s healing power. I choose to heal by my faith. What about you?

Our Faith Pleases God

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him, Hebrews 11:6.

I believe most of us want to please God, and He has provided us with the supernatural tool to do so–faith. So perhaps, you are being accused of being “Way out there!”, but in reality you are pleasing to God. And at the end of every day this is what counts.

Our Faith is Tested

Knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. James 1:3.

Our faith is so important to God that He actually tests it, and it always produces what He desires for us–patience. And this patience is one of the gifts of the Spirit that we need to operate in this life. See Galatians 5:22-23.

Increase Our Faith

We see in Luke 17:5-6 that the apostles said the the Lord, “Increase our faith!”. And in Mark 9:22-23 we read about the man’s response to Jesus when he brought his epileptic son to be healed, “Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”” And you may be crying out to God like this man, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” And even if you find yourself in this situation God has a plan of action in Romans 10:17 to increase your faith. “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

How do we increase our faith?

  1. We read the Word of God.
  2. Not only do we read it, we study it.
  3. It’s not enough to just study the Word of God, we must speak it out from our mouths.
  4. And then we have to put action behind those spoken words of faith.

Prayer for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit

I have been a witness to a mighty move of the Spirit moving throughout the entire earth. It is a wave of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. The altars have been filled with people asking and receiving this empowerment of Holy Spirit. The Lord knows what is ahead of us and His desire is that we are ready for what is to come.

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is for anyone who has received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. This is what the apostle Peter preached immediately following the initial outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.

Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” Acts 2:38-39, NKJV.

It is the Father who gives the Holy Spirit to those who ask of Him, and He always gives us good gifts.

If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish?  Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” Luke 11:11-13, NKJV.

Before we pray here are some instructions. Read through them and then pray in faith through the prayer below.

  • Lay your hand on your heart or forehead.
  • Ask the Father for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus.
  • Expect to speak in other tongues.
  • You receive by faith, but just like anything else, you need to put your faith into action. After praying for the baptism, open up your mouth and allow the utterance that is stirring around on the inside of you to come forth. In other words, gives voice to what is stirring on the inside of you. The Holy Spirit will not force Himself upon you. You need to cooperate with Him. It’s easy, but very powerful.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I am a believer in Jesus Christ, and I ask You in His name for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. I believe and receive from You.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

Now open up your mouth, start moving your tongue and give voice to what is starting to stir in your heart. It won’t be anything you recognize. But do not be afraid; just cooperate with the Holy Spirit. In time you will start to learn the importance and the power in this type of prayer.
