The Benefits of Living God’s Word

Scripture Reading: Proverbs 3

We live in an age that is driven by technology. And just about any bit of information that we want to know can be found instantly on the internet. But even with all of this knowledge people are unhappy, full of fear, with their needs unmet, and sick and dying before their appointed time. Why?

The answer to this can be found in Proverbs 3:1-2, “My son, do not forget My teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments; for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you.”

There is man’s knowledge, and then there is God’s wisdom. Man who is created by Elohim “The Father, Son and Holy Spirit” makes discoveries about God’s creation, and how to use His creation for our good. But what many refuse to acknowledge is God’s Word. And some are knowledgeable of the Bible, but do not live what it says. And this is often why many are unhappy and hurting today.

Knowledge is facts about something, whereas, wisdom is implementing, or putting into practice what you have learned. With this definition in mind, let’s take another look at what Proverbs 3:1 has to say to us.

First of all, this verse starts out by addressing to whom it is written to, “My son”, meaning to God’s children, true believers in Jesus Christ. If you want the full blessings of living God’s Word, then you need to be part of His spiritual family.

Jesus says to Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews, in John 3:3, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

Secondly, it says in Proverbs 3:1, “do not forget My teaching,”. Let’s face it, in this fast paced world where we can download scads of information within seconds, we forget to open up the book of true knowledge, the Bible.

And thirdly, we are to “let your heart keep My commandments”. We are to hide His Word in our hearts, because according to the Word we act out what we believe. It is so important to read, study and live out God’s Word.

Three Steps to Receiving the Benefits of Living God’s Word

  1. You must be born-again.
  2. Remember, to read and study God’s Word.
  3. Live His commandments.

And if we will activate these 3 steps in our everyday lives then the following benefits will be added to us.

  • Longer life
  • Peace

Write a Confession of Faith for Healing

Confessions of faith to declare over ourselves and loved ones are very important. And when one is battling against life and death they need the prayers of others to strengthen them and their physical bodies. But in my years of healing ministry, I have come to the realization that most Christians do not know how to pray words of faith, but we can learn how today.

The Bible says in Proverbs 18:21, “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” In other words, what we say makes a difference. If we continue to speak symptoms, sickness, disease and death those negative words will take root within our spirits and grow and eventually produce death in our physical bodies.

But the Word of God also says that the tongue  has the supernatural power to produce life. In order to do so, we need to get a hold of our tongues and start to speak faith-filled words that cause our physical bodies to heal.

Now, it is time to take this Biblical truth and put it into action. To start this process we will write up a confession of faith for healing. How do we do this?

With a little investigation we can find basic information about the disease and how it is attacks the physical body. We need to remember that our purpose for this brief time of study is not so we become fearful and surrender to its wickedness. But that we become aware of its tactics, and come up with a strategic battle plan against it.

After we have done a brief study of its pathology and what it seeks to destroy, then it is time to brainstorm and write up a faith confession for healing. When we write up this confession we need to combat the sickness and the symptoms with words of faith that will release life and healing.

For example, a man writes that he is fighting against ALS, and it appears in the natural realm that is overtaking his life. He needs a confession of faith for healing from this wretched disease that is attacking the nerve cells in his brain and spinal cord and is destroying his voluntary muscles, which is stealing the voluntary movement in his arms, legs, speech, and the ability to swallow and breathe freely.

Here is the written confession of faith for his healing:

(Name of person), we renounce a spirit of death, via ALS that is attacking your body. We release the power of the Holy Spirit into your body. We declare that you will live and not waste away and die prematurely. We speak life and regeneration into your nerve cells in your brain and spinal cord, and into your voluntary muscles. We release creative miracles into your muscles, and say that they are nourished supernaturally, and that all scarring and hardening dissolve. Motor neurons regenerate and send impulses to the muscle fibers and normal muscle movement return. Muscles be strengthened, and life return to the arms and legs, and speech, swallowing, and breathing be normal again. We declare all of this in Jesus’ mighty name, amen.

Increase the healing power of the tongue and make copies of your confession of faith for healing and give it to people that want to pray for you. Ask them if they will commit to pray this aloud several times a day for you.

Encouragement for the Persecuted Church

The Persecuted Church, we read the biblical accounts of the saints long gone, and we hear the horrifying news about our Christian brethren being tortured today. But do we truly understand what it means to be a member of the Persecuted Church? Jesus does. He can identify with the fear of being tortured for His faith, and knows what it takes to be faithful until the end. He holds His persecuted bride in high esteem; He loves her and has a message of encouragement for her.

In Revelation 2: 8-11 we read the following message, ““And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write, ‘These things says the First and the Last, who was dead, and came to life:“I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.”’”

He also says in Matthew 5:10-12 “Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. ″Blessed are you when men cast insults at you, and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, on account of Me. ″Rejoice, and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

The ability to remain faithful in the face of persecution starts with a pure heart, one that is sold out for Jesus, and makes the decision that no-matter-what I will not recant my faith. A believer with such deep devotion to Christ does not intermingle with the backslidden, worldly, unrepentant, spiritually dead or lukewarm Church of today. But gives high honor to the redemptive blood of Jesus Christ, and surrenders his or her will to the Father’s will.

And through their deep devotion to God they can say, We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.” ( See 2 Corinthians 4: 8-11.)

And “For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” (See 2 Corinthians 12:10.)

And in the end The Shepherd remains faithful to them as they pass through the revelation of Psalm 23:4, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”

Dear Persecuted Church,

What an honor it is to intercede for you. I pray that you will find the spiritual strength to remain faithful ’til the end. And I hope that the effects of my prayers will find their way to you, and that you would be encouraged while under extreme circumstances to fight the good fight of faith, to finish your race, to keep your faith, and to forgive those who persecute you.

Love in Jesus,

A Fellow Believer

Know the Basic Signs of the Last Days

Anyone with a discerning eye can see that we are in the beginning of the end. But even so, the enemy is working hard to add confusion and fear to the times that are upon us. Do you know the basic signs of the times for these last days? In Matthew 24 Jesus teaches His disciples and us how to recognize the signs of His coming and the end of the age.

Jesus first cautions us not to be deceived. He says that many false Christs will arise and lead many astray. And Paul also warns us in 2 Tim. 3:13, “But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.” If someone declares they are the Christ on this earth, be secure in the truth that they are not. Even if they perform great signs and wonders, they are not. Why? According to the Word in Titus 2:13, He will not appear to us on the earth, but He will appear to us in the clouds, and be caught up with Him, along with our fellow believers. “Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,” Titus 2:13. Again Rev. 1:7 confirms the way He will come to us on that great and glorious day, Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. And we, who are alive will shed this earth suit and be supernaturally changed. 1 Cor. 15: 50-53 explains it like this, “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.  Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—  in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

Next, our Lord encourages us not to be afraid because there will be wars and rumors of wars, and explains that these things must take place, but the end is not yet. Wars and rumors of wars are frightful events, but God promises us in Isa. 41:10, Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’”

He continues to speak to us about the political arena and says that nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. He reveals to us that there will be disasters in various places such as famines and earthquakes. And makes it plain that these are not the final signs, but the beginning of birth pangs.

The world will be in chaos, and its inhabitants will be insecure not knowing how to meet their daily needs, but we have security in God’s Word that promises us that if we seek first His kingdom and all of His righteousness then all these things that we have need of will be met. Matt. 6:31-33 says, Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Did he not provide for the Israelites when they wandered in the desert for 40 years? According to the Scriptures God graciously provided for their daily needs. He supplied His people with water from the rock, see Ex. 17:5-7, it rained down manna daily, see Ex. 16:4, they had fresh meat, see Ex. 16:13, and their shoes and clothes did not wear out, see Deut. 29:5.

He then discusses with them about the individual who calls him or herself  a follower of Jesus Christ.  “Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name.”

Let’s face it, this is a very serious matter that will take every ounce of faith to overcome the temptation to recant our faith. Jesus understands this temptation all too well. In the Garden of Gethsemane He is so afraid of the torture that He is to endure for you and for me that He starts to sweat great drops of blood. He  cries out to His Heavenly Father to come up with another plan, to remove Him from this situation. Heb. 4:15 confirms this point, it says “For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.”. He overcomes the power of the human will to run away from His destiny, to be selfish and to turn away from our need, to allow fear, doubt, and unbelief to control His actions, and finally surrenders to His Father’s will and lays down His life for us. Matt. 26:39 in the New King James Version of the Bible reads, “He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”

He tells us that many false prophets will rise and lead many people away from God. And Peter also warns us in 2 Pet. 2:1-3, But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.”

Women especially tend to be led astray by their emotions. The Bible warns us not to be gullible in 2 Tim. 3:5-7, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” Women, we are not to be naïve, but wise. No matter how godly, how charismatic, how charming or how appealing the one with the message may seem, we are responsible to try the spirits and judge the message against the Word of God.

Not everyone will have to confront the possibility of being martyred for their faith, but we will all face some sort of tribulation and be hated because of our faith in Jesus. He says that during this stage of the Last Days that many will fall away, and they will betray and hate one another. And because of the increase in lawlessness that most people’s love will grow cold. But He makes it clear, “But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.” See Matt. 24:13.

And this portion of Scripture closes with Jesus declaring “This gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.” See Matt. 24:14.

And just to clear up a matter of confusion, can the date of Jesus’ return be predicted? According to the Scriptures the answer is no. It states in Matt. 24:36, “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” So the next time you hear someone has figured out the exact date of Jesus’ return you know not to listen to them. Only the Father knows the exact date and time, but as we read in Matt. 24:3-15 God does want us to be aware of the season and clearly gives us the signs to look for.

I encourage you to open up the Word of God, start with Matthew 24 and ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand the basic teachings concerning the End-Times. He is faithful and true and wants you to know and recognize the basic signs of the Last Days.

Prayer for Healing

Pray for One AnotherDear Heavenly Father,

I thank You for revealing the truth to my friends concerning the different strongholds that the enemy has had that have prevented their healings from coming forth.

In Jesus’ name, I renounce you, satan, and all of your tactics against these people. I rebuke a spirit of infirmity, a spirit of fear, a spirit of death, and any other hindering spirit that is controlling their lives.

Right now, my friends, I release the power of that same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Life. I release His healing power to flow into your bodies in Jesus’ name. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. I command your bodies to line up to the Word of God, and I boldly declare that by His stripes you are healed. I command all pain and all swelling to cease, all broken, sprained or strained body parts to be whole in Jesus’ name. I speak into existence new blood, new cells, new organs, and new systems. I declare that this newly created body works together in harmony to produce life and life in abundance.

I renounce every negative report that stands in contrary to the Word of God. I speak life and strength to dead and weak body parts, knowing that with my God all things are possible. I rebuke the spirit of doubt and unbelief from whispering lies into your ears, and I command every lying tongue (whether human or spirit) to be silenced against you, my friend, in Jesus’ name. I release the Spirit of Peace, Love, and Joy to enter into your domain. Lord, I give You praise and honor as my friends fulfill their destiny that You created them for.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

Healing Prayer From ALS

Marie from OK writes the following prayer request. “Dear Becky, Please pray a healing prayer for my family and me.  The Dr tells me I have ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).  This disease took my Mother and two of my brothers, the most recent one on March 16, 2013.  On May 30th, 2013, the neurologist told me that I have it too.  At present I am unable to speak or swallow.  Also my breathing is poor as the muscles are atrophying.  A feeding tube was put in on June 20th.  I still have the use of my legs, arms and hands, but I can tell the muscles are weakening.   I have lost a  lot of weight.  I only tell you this so that you will know the specifics  of my condition.  The motor neurons that control speech and swallowing may need to be recreated.

The Lord led me to your book, Dare to Believe. I have always believed that God could heal me, I just did not know if it was His will to heal me.  Reading your book I see that it is God’s will to heal me and I must have faith that He will.  Many friends and neighbors have been praying for me and this has touched my heart deeply.  Please help me to renounce this disease in Jesus name and fill my body with life and healing from the Holy Spirit.   Please help me to have faith and save me from this premature death so that I may fulfill my destiny in Jesus name.  My husband and my son need a healthy me so much.  This disease needs to be stopped now.  My family has suffered too much.  I thank you for this book.  Please pray for us as we are daring to believe!”

Dear Marie, In Jesus’ name I renounce the spirit of death, the spirit of fear, the power of this negative medical report, and the word curses that have come from your own mouth and from those around you, this generational curse called ALS and all other diseases, known or unknown attacking your body.  I release the Spirit of the Living God to flow throughout your entire body. I speak LIFE and His peace into the nerve cells in your brain and into the very core of your spinal cord. I release the healing power of the Holy Spirit to flow from the very center of your spinal cord and work its way throughout the rest of the body.  I command your motor neurons to be regenerated. I speak resurrection life into dead motor neurons and that they be disease free, healthy, strong, and function perfectly normal. I come against all forms of paralysis. I command the muscles, ligaments, tendons and nerves that control your ability to speak, swallow, and breathe to stop atrophying and return to normal size and strength. I say speak, swallow, and breathe for the glory of our Lord.  I command the body to stop wasting away, gain back the weight necessary to live a healthy, normal life. The muscles of your arms, legs and hands will not be affected by this disease. You are a temple of the Holy Spirit and this premature death has no legal right to inhabit this temple of yours. I plead the power of the redemptive blood of Jesus’ Christ over you, your body and the rest of your family. This disease dies within your body this instant and it cannot move and have its way within you or in your future generations.

You are correct when you say that you now know that Jesus wants you healed. Jesus paid the price necessary to deliver and heal you from ALS. And this is the revelation that you have lacked, but now found that creates life from death.  Marie, be free, be healed, live and fulfill your God-given destiny. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

The Responsibility Is In Our Hands

There comes a point when the responsibility is in our hands, as we find out in the story of Moses and the Israelites.  The Pharaoh and his army are  in hot pursuit of Moses and the sons of Israel. They find them camped in front of the sea. The people fill with fear as their enemy draws near. They begin to shout sarcastic remarks at Moses. But Moses, the mighty man of faith responds to the people. He says, “Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of the Lord which He will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again forever. The Lord will fight for you while you keep silent.” (Exodus 14: 13-14).

His response sounds so right on, but the Lord teaches Moses and us that there comes a time when mere words are not enough. There must be action behind our words. And we are the ones responsible to take action. Listen to the Lord’s response to  Moses’ valiant statement of faith.

“Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to Me? Tell the sons of Israel to go forward. As for you, lift up your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it…” (Exodus 14: 15-16).

This is an intense moment for these people. In fact, it is a life and death situation for them, and the Lord says to Moses to stop crying and tell the people to move forward! And He doesn’t stop there. He tells Moses that he is to put his faith into action and divide the Red Sea.

All too often, we expect the Lord to do the supernatural for us. But as we study the Word we see that the Lord has a different plan. He provides everything we need to succeed. Then He expects us to be responsible and not just speak words of faith, but put action behind our faith-filled words and divide our own Red Seas, by the supernatural power of our faith in the redemptive work of Jesus. He places the responsibility into our hands.   –Author Becky Dvorak

Deliverance Prayer From Austism

I received this letter from a woman whose son was diagnosed with autism. As you may know our adopted son, Andres was severely autistic. But we dared to believe in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ and he is no longer autistic. he is delivered and healed. Here is this mama’s letter. “My son Samuel is 3 years old and was recently diagnosed with autism. He has major behavioral problems, speech delayed and developmental delays. He won’t eat as much having trouble eating, feeding self and underweight. Please help us pray for healing for Samuel from all of this. “

My response:

I join my faith with your faith for Samuel for the deliverance from an autistic spirit in Jesus’ name.

I come against you foul wicked spirit that has attacked this little boy. You leave him at once. I speak and release the Spirit of the Lord over Samuel, and that a spirit of peace come over him. All aggressive, violent and destructive behaviors stop in the name of the Lord. All screaming, tantrums, head banging, pinching, biting, and spitting stop in Jesus’ name.

I speak to your spirit Samuel, I release the healing power of the Holy Spirit to flow through your brain, nervous system and your 5 senses. I declare that these things are healed and made whole.

Your brain is recreated by the power of the blood of Jesus Christ. Any and all seizures stop. They may not continue, they may not travel down familiar pathways that have been made in the brain. We erase those old familiar pathways, and no new pathways may be recreated in Jesus’ name.

I declare that your electrical system is recreated in Jesus’ name. Your internal wiring is rewired and made whole. Messages from the right and left brain can travel as they are meant to travel.

I speak to your brain stem to be recreated in Jesus’ name. Your speech, your motor skills are recreated by the redemptive work of Christ.

I renounce this negative report spoken over you. You are no longer autistic, but redeemed and made whole in Jesus’ name.

I speak to the eating disorders to be healed. I declare that no longer will textures, colors and smells bother you. Your senses are made whole, and your digestive system is recreated and digests perfectly normal. We dare to believe that you no longer have eating disorders, and can eat in a healthy manner and gain the proper amount of weight that is needed for your size and age.

No longer will you fear to look people in the eye, or be afraid of their touch. We take control over a spirit of fear, and we cast it far from you in Jesus’ name.

I speak to your equal liberum and to the inner ear to be healed and made whole. No longer will you need to spin or spin objects. Your world around you is made whole. You do not need to flap your hands, because your senses are healed. You do not need to be obsessed any longer, because you are free, and whom Jesus sets free is free indeed.

I come against generational curses that have been passed down from the generations. You are free because Jesus became the curse.

I join my faith with your mother’s faith and I believe that you are delivered from autism and free from the unusual behaviors that have attached themselves to you, and declare those things that are not as though they already are. You are healed and delivered in Jesus’ name.
