Who is that Speaking to You?

Jesus says His sheep hear His voice; He doesn’t say His lambs hear His voice. What is the difference between a sheep and a lamb? Maturity. Mature believers hear His voice and another voice they will not follow.

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. John 10:27 (NKJV).

It is so important during these trying times that we know who is speaking to us. Is that message really from God, or could it be a bit twisted to deceive you, or is it your flesh crying out to you? Listen to this recorded message from my online television program on ISN, “Empowered for Healing and Miracles” and learn how to know who is speaking to you. Click here to watch.

A Decree of Faith for Protection from Sudden Attacks from a Spirit of Death

A violent spirit of death has been unleashed upon this earth and is hitting us hard in the USA. There are many reasons for this, but the Bible warns us about the main one. We read in John 10:10 Jesus’ words concerning these attacks, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy”, (NKJV). And again in 1 Peter 5:8 we are cautioned, “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour”, (NIV). And during the opening of the second seal, it is prophesied in the Book of Revelation 6:3-4 concerning these latter days, When the Lamb broke the second seal, I heard the second living being say, “Come!” Then another horse appeared, a red one. Its rider was given a mighty sword and the authority to take peace from the earth. And there was war and slaughter everywhere., (NLT).

By the leading of Holy Spirit, I give you a clear list about the telltale signs that a spirit of death is attacking you.  You can locate this list on page 14, Chapter One of “Conquering the Spirit of Death” book. And it is written to help you to discern what is happening around you, so that you can take action in the spiritual realm.

  •  You are diagnosed with a rare and/or incurable disease.
  • There is an onslaught of sickness and disease reoccurring in your body.
  • You are battling with discouraging thoughts to give up the fight and die.
  • You are dealing with a barrage of accidents and strange events that can lead to death.
  • You are struggling with suicidal thoughts.
  • You are fighting with murderous and terroristic thoughts against others.
  • You desire to abort your baby.
  • You continuously engage in behaviors and activities that invite death, such as reckless driving, life-threatening sports, drug and alcohol abuse, and other negative habits that display a death wish.

To protect you and your family from the evil workings of the spirit of death, build a wall of protection between you and it. Pray a decree of faith that separates you from its dangerous deeds. Cut off its power over you in the name of Jesus. Pray this decree of faith daily over your family for protection.

“In the name of Jesus, I decree, cut off, and separate myself and my family from the evil tactics of the spirit of death. You will not fulfill your wicked ways with us. The Holy Spirit, our Guide, has shown to us your ways of destruction and death against us. But greater is our Savior Jesus in us that you who are in this world. Be gone with you this day!” (Pray this aloud over you and your family daily.)

Something that we need to remember about a decree of faith, one time doesn’t cover all time. We need to continue to decree words of faith daily. But the good news is, the power of faith-filled decrees work. So, work them on your behalf and your loved ones.

(This excerpt is taken from pages 101-102, Chapter 6, “Sudden and Unexpected Battles”, from my book, “Conquering the Spirit of Death”. And this is presently the textbook I am teaching from in my 15-week online healing course, “Conquering the Spirit of Death”.

Healing Confession of Faith from PTSD

With the constant onslaught of chaos and recent tragedies I sense in my spirit that it is time for me to write up a healing confession of faith from PTSD. So that you have spiritual help during a very deep and dark place you have found yourself this day. Take these words and pray them from your heart daily and allow the healing power of God’s promises to mend your broken spirit.

Father God, as David did in Psalm 18:6, “In my distress I call upon the Lord, and cry to my God for help.” (NKJV).

You say, “You heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds,” (PS. 147:3, NKJV). So, in my great distress, I submit myself to Your healing promise that states, “You sent Your word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions,” (PS. 107:20, NKJV). Lord Jesus, I lay my burden down at Your precious feet, I can’t do this on my own, I need Your Steadfast love that never ceases, and your mercies that never come to an end,” (LAM. 3:22, ESV).

“Be gracious to me, O Lord, for to You I cry all day long,” (PS. 86:3, NKJV). You promise in Psalm 91:15, “He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.” (NKJV) Oh Lord, I need this promise activated in my life. I have tried but can’t seem to get myself unstuck, I need You to “Lift me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire.” I also need You to, “Set my feet on a rock and give me a firm place to stand,” (PS. 40:2, NIV).

Apostle Paul writes in 2 Timothy 1:7 that “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (NKJV). But in all honesty, I confess that I struggle with great fear, I feel powerless, and my mind is not sound at this time. I feel like I am back in that dark, dank prison that Paul was locked up in back in Rome. Although my prison may not be physical, I am bound up by invisible chains of flashbacks, nightmares, severe anxiety, and uncontrollable thoughts about these horrific events that took place in my life. But despite these fears and feelings, I hear that You came to set the captives free, (IS. 61:1), and that You do not expect me to do this in my own strength, but by Your Spirit, (Zeph. 4:6), and as I confess these faults to others I can be healed, (JMS 5:16).

By faith I thank You that You will never leave me or forsake me, (DEUT. 31:6), You are with me in the waters, and in the midst of the fire, (IS. 43:2-3), and even when I walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Death, (PS. 23:4). You are compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love towards me, (PS. 103:8). I am forever grateful that Your love for me is unconditional, and not based upon my behavior, (ROM. 5:8), and because You are with me, I can be strong, courageous, unafraid, and not discouraged, (JOSH. 1:9).

Help me, Holy Spirit to walk by faith, and not by sight, (2 COR. 5:7), comfort me, (JN. 14:26), remind me that when I feel weak, You remain strong, (Joel 3:10), empower me, (Acts 1:8), pray the will of God through me, (ROM. 8:26-27), teach me to edify and build myself up by praying in Your Spirit, (1 COR. 14:4).

Help me to renew my mind with Your healing Word, (2 COR. 4:16), to take every thought captive, (2 COR. 2:5), to choose my thoughts with care, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” (PHIL. 4:8, KJV).

Enlighten me to Your truth, so that I can be free, (JN. 8:32). Help me to understand that I do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against demonic forces, (EPH. 6:12), and that it was satan who attacked me and my loved ones, to steal, to kill, and to destroy, (JN. 10:10), but You have given me all of Your authority over satan and his wicked works, (Luke 10:19). Teach me how to put on the full armor of God, so I am prepared for future battles with him, (EPH. 6: 10-18).

When I feel I can’t go on, Hear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth, I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” (PS. 61:1-2, NKJV). Quicken to my spirit that, “Yet in all these things I am more than a conqueror through Him who loves me.” (ROM. 8:37, NKJV). Give me the strength to always “Choose life”, (DEUT. 30:19), and to take comfort in the fact that You, Jesus came to give me life, and life in abundance. (JN. 10:10). In Jesus’ name, I pray this healing confession of faith from PTSD, amen.

Develop Personal Relationship with the Trinity

Today’s lesson is about developing a personal relationship with God, the Trinity, all of God. Let’s delve into this.

True and personal fellowship with God is so important for us to have today. It’s one thing to believe and receive Jesus Christ as our Savior. And yes, it’s the initial step to your salvation where we become a member of His family, a citizen of Heaven, and are called into His fellowship. But there is more to be had in this eternal relationship, and it’s a step that many have failed to take. God desires us to enter into true fellowship with Him where we actually get to know Him personally. And it’s in this personal fellowship with Him where these eternal benefits like provision and protection and the other benefits are actually activated.

Adam and Eve had perfect fellowship with God. They communed with Him every day, and actually had a set time to meet with Him daily–in the cool of the day. And because of this fellowship they had no lack–everything was instantly provided for them. But they carelessly forfeited it all, and Jesus had to come to this earth to restore what they had foolishly tossed away. Part of what Jesus came to restore was the personal fellowship between God and people.

The more we seek Him, the more we know Him And the more we know Him, the easier it is for us to trust in His faithfulness to us. It’s in this strong bond of trust that we can believe Him in all areas of life, including death and protection from premature death.

These days, if a stranger came to our front door and offered to take care of our needs, we more than likely would not believe him. It’s the same with the Lord, how can we trust in His promises to care for us if we do not know Him well? And if there was ever a time that we need to be able to trust Him to overcome this spirit of death over our nations, the time is now. But it’s difficult when we have not activated our relationship with Him.

God is faithful [He is reliable, trustworthy and ever true to His promise—He can be depended on], and through Him you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, 1 Corinthians 1:9. (AMP)

Okay, we’ve established the fact that we need to have personal relationship with God, but I would adventure to say that for some there is a bit of confusion when I say we need to develop relationship with all of God, the Trinity.

God is three persons, but one God. We have Father God, Jesus Christ, Father God’s Son, and our Savior, and then we have Holy Spirit, the Spirit of the Living God, and the creative, explosive power of God. And we should have a personal relationship with all.

We can see in the following Scriptures that Jesus acknowledges His Father, and Holy Spirit. (There are many verses, but we will look at just a few.)

“I and My Father are one.” John 10:30.

“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” John 14:3.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6.

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” Matthew 28:19.

“I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever;” John 14:16.

“When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me,” Jon 15:26.

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?” Luke 11:13.

Now, that we’ve established scripturally that Jesus, our Savior acknowledges His Father and Holy Spirit, let’s look at ways to develop relationship and express ourselves to Him.

Let’s pray.

Father God,

I must confess that I do not know You like I should. I ask for forgiveness as I have been born-again for many years, and yet I sense in my spirit that something is lacking in my relationship with You. And I now realize that I have not sought Your fellowship like You desire me to. Holy Spirit, lead me in this deeper relationship. Show me how to fellowship with You throughout my daily activities. Teach me how to sit still and alone with You to listen to You speak to my heart, in Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

Now, you take and activate what you just prayed and spend time alone with God daily.

  1. Start your day on your knees before Him, even if for a brief moment, and greet Him by name. Say, “Good morning, Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. I thank You that this is the day that You have made and I choose to rejoice and be glad in it. I dedicate this day to You for Your service. “
  2. Throughout the day, open up with a word or song of praise and worship to the Lord.
  3. Spend time with Him in the Bible.
  4. Talk to God, share with Him what’s on your heart.
  5. And then sit still, be quiet before Him, and let Him speak to your heart.

The more you do this, the more you will know Him, and fellowshipping with Him will become natural for you.

Is Jesus Both Your Savior and Lord?

Is Jesus both your Savior and Lord? This is a very important question to ask yourself. And maybe you wonder what I mean when I ask this question. Let’s face it, we all know people that say they received Jesus as their Savior, or you were there when this someone asked Jesus to be their Savior, but no matter how authentic the moment was, they don’t act like they are saved. What happened? What’s wrong?

The issue is this, there is a difference between asking Jesus to be our savior and making Him the Lord of our life. The reason we ask Jesus to be our savior is because we recognize that we are sinful beings, and we need to be spiritually cleansed. We’ve heard the good news that Jesus paid the price to purchase our forgiveness by the shedding of His blood. We believe it, we act upon this revelation, and accept Him as Savior. And we are forgiven and become born-again. Our spirit being becomes alive, and heaven bound, and this is all based upon the grace of God.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9.

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.  Romans 10:9-10.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—  not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9.

When it comes to making Jesus Christ the Lord of our life, this rests upon our will. Our will to lay down our earthly desires and sinful ways, and to surrender to His plans and purposes for our life, and His commands. This is a daily decision that we must make to overcome the evils that call out to the human flesh.

Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. Matthew 16:24.

As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” Since you call on a Father who judges each person’s work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear. For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. 1 Peter 1: 14-19.

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:1-2.

So, yes someone can have a divine encounter with God, and believe that He is who He says He is, the Redeemer of the Lost, and ask for forgiveness of their sins, and ask Him to be their Savior, and yet choose to be spiritually weak, and act out their sinful desires. Why, because they have asked Him to be their Savior, but not the Lord of their daily life.

Let’s pray.

Father God, I remember the moment that I asked You, Jesus to be my Savior. I clearly remember I asked you to forgive me of my sins. I knew I needed a spiritual bath, and only Your blood could cleanse me and give me eternal life. But I have to admit that I chose not to make You, the Lord of my daily life. I have wasted so much time on my sinful desires, and have hurt not only myself, but others around me because I did not want to surrender to Your ways. I ask You to forgive me for this, and I ask You to be the Lord of my daily life. Holy Spirit, lead me and guide me in this surrendered lifestyle, in Jesus’ name, I pray, amen and amen.

List for Spiritual Readiness

I am sending you a list for spiritual readiness, because I believe that we are living in the latter days, and the return of Jesus Christ is soon. I don’t believe that anyone can predict the date of Christ’s return, because it says in Matthew 24:36, “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” But God does want us to be ready and teaches us the signs of the end-times in Matthew 24:3-15. And Jesus says to us, “Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to everyone according to his work.” (See Rev. 22:12.)

I look forward to the great and glorious day when we will see Him appear in the clouds, and be caught up with Him, along with our fellow believers, (see Titus 2:13), but until then I plan on being about our heavenly Father’s business and invite as many as will come. (See Prov. 11:30.)

List for Spiritual Readiness:

  • Is Jesus Christ your Savior?
  • Have you made Jesus Christ your Lord?
  • Develop personal relationship with Father, Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit.
  • Get water baptized.
  • Get baptized in the power of Holy Spirit with the evidence of praying in tongues.
  • Read and study the Bible on a consistent basis.
  • Forgive those that have wronged you.
  • Tell the people in your arena of influence that they need to get right with the Lord. And disciple them in the Word of God.
  • Minister healing to those around you.
  • Tap into the kingdom of God principles and be a giver.

I will be taking each of these items listed on this check list and write to you about them in a bit more detail. Time is short, and we have a lot to do. Expect frequent emails about spiritual preparedness.

4 Steps to Overcome Discouragement

Discouragement partners with the spirit of death. And it’s a strong weapon the enemy will use against you–beware of its attachment to death itself. Are you fighting discouragement?

A lady wrote me the other night with the following need for prayer for a miracle. She shares, “My cancer returned after three years, and I feel so bad. I am going to undergo radiation and chemo in the next few days. I need prayer. Please, I need help to get new cells and lymph nodes, and complete healing and removal of all cancer cells in my body.”

This sister in the Lord received a negative medical report, and naturally discouragement follows right behind the negative words of “cancer returns.” And so too the spirit of fear floods her memories of the pain she experienced years ago with all the radiation and chemo treatments and procedures. Knowing she needs help to overcome this discouragement and the deadly attack against her life, she does the right thing and reaches out to someone who will encourage her in the faith to stand strong on the promise of God’s word, “by His stripes she is healed,” see Isiah 53:4-5.

Perhaps, you are in a similar situation as this woman and need help to get out of the realm of discouragement and find someone who will offer hope to trust God for a miracle. If so, you are not alone; many struggle to find a bit of encouragement these days. let’s face it, the news is gloomy, social media is filled with hate, and in general, people have become so negative.

So, where do God’s people find a word of hope? Right from the Source–God’s Word. And this is where we are going to turn to right now and search the Scriptures to fight off discouragement.

Let’s begin with a prayer directly to the Source of encouragement: “From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I” (Psalm 61:2 NIV).

Psalm 27:14 gives us biblical instruction on how to overcome discouragement: “Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, wait, I say, on the Lord!” We are to wait on the Lord with hope, with expectancy, like a pregnant woman awaits the blessed day for the birth of her child.

Consider the word “wait” in a different manner, not just as a period of time passing by waiting for something to happen, but to wait to serve the Lord. Look at this well-known verse from Isaiah 40:31 in this way, “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”

As we serve the Lord with a true heart, our strength is renewed. We are filled with joy; and because joy is a supernatural strength, we become stronger as we serve Him. And to clarify what I mean by serving the Lord, it doesn’t mean to take on another task at your local place of fellowship, but to wait upon Him as follows:

Four Steps to Find Your Source of Encouragement
1. Believe God. “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.” John 14:1.

2. Worship Him in spirit and in truth. “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:24.

3. Pray in the Spirit and encourage yourself. “Anyone who speaks in a tongue edifies themselves, but the one who prophesies edifies the church.” First Corinthians 14:4.

4. Perfect the love of God in you by His Word. “But if anyone obeys His word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in Him.” First John 2:5.

If you follow these simple steps, you will find your Source of encouragement in Christ and overcome the enemy’s power of discouragement.
