Forgiveness, Think About It

Think about it… many years ago, the body of Christ had been falsely accused, mocked and spit upon, abused, abandoned, crucified and buried in a tomb. The situation “appeared” to be without hope.

The Servant’s service was devalued, they twisted His message, the intentions of His heart were unjustly judged, they destroyed His reputation, and He was made out to be the evil one.

What did Jesus do? He stretched out His arms and cried out to the Father and said, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.”

The spiritual body of Christ is under attack today. What do we do? Get down on our knees and cry out to the Father, “Forgive them for they know not what they do.” His forgiveness saves many, your forgiveness opens the door for others to receive this hope.

The power behind this Easter weekend is forgiveness, which is an outpouring of the love that Jesus Christ shed for us at Calvary. I say take some time, and think about it…

Your Prayer Makes A Difference

Have you ever passed over a prayer request because you felt that perhaps your prayers won’t help? I want to stir your faith to believe that yes, your prayers do make a difference.

James 5:16 claims, “Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” When true believers in Jesus Christ pray words of faith they cause situations to change. 1John 5:14-15 states, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of Him.” Our faith-filled prayers accomplish great things for the glory of our Lord.

I shared two urgent prayer requests on social media. One was for a little girl who was rushed to the hospital with high fevers and severe seizures. The other request was from a woman who needed prayer for healing of a relationship between her and her adult daughter that needs salvation and healing, but was not able to even start to minister to her daughter because of a broken relationship. I shared the needs of these people with you, with examples of faith-filled prayers to pray. Together we prayed in faith and both came back with good reports.

The little girl was released and sent back home within an hour. The family says this is nothing short of a miraculous touch from the Lord, and credits this to everyone’s prayers. With the other situation, the mother wrote back and said that her daughter’s spirit has opened up to her once again and she can now start to reach out to her daughter’s needs, and thanks everyone for their prayers.

I want to encourage you, regardless of the situation, reach out to those who believe and ask them to pray. And for those of you that are called upon to pray, don’t lose heart, your faith-filled prayers do make a difference. They accomplish great things for the glory of our God.

Correct Healing Confessions

Question: Would this be a correct statement? “Even though I might have symptoms in my body they can do no permanent damage to me because I was healed at the Cross.”

Reply: Hmm… I believe as long as we say “We have symptoms…” then we will continue to have them. And if we say “They can do no permanent damage…” then with our words we are allowing these symptoms to still do some sort of damage.

Since we want to rid ourselves from these symptoms, it would be better to start to speak words of faith that take authority and bring them under the submission of the power of the redemptive blood of Jesus.

It would be more effective to speak the following, “I take the authority given to me by the redemptive blood of Jesus Christ, and I declare that I am free and healed from all symptoms and all diseases in Jesus’ name.” Eventually, if we will continue to speak the Word over our bodies, all these symptoms will leave.

Proverbs 18:21 tells us that, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.”

Learn to Function as a Team

Whether at home, on the job, or in ministry it is important that we all learn to function together as a team. A successful team has a common goal to do their best and accomplish a task.

One of the first attributes to a successful team is respect. God’s Word admonishes us in Philippians 2:3, “Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves;” To regard one another as more important is to place a high value on who others are.

Another key to a winning team is that everyone understands and works their role and appreciates the differences in the gifting of others. 1 Corinthians 12:17-20 explains the beauty and reasons for our differences. “If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. If they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, but one body.”

One other point that makes a great team is a willingness to support one another when one is weak. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.”

Today, our family had the task of netting a harvest of fish from one of our ponds. Even though we are all different in size and strength we valued each other as important and vital components to the team. Knowing our differences, we took our places and pulled the nets. When one grew weak the others pulled the nets all the harder. And together we gathered in an abundant harvest of fish.

These are just a few important attributes that will help us to learn how to function as a team.

Be Ready In Season and Out

2 Timothy 4:2 admonishes us to “Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.”. It is so important that we train ourselves to be ready to minister at anytime and in anyplace.

As I was leaving the hotel to travel to the JFK Airport I felt compelled to slip a copy of DARE to Believe in my carry-on. I thought it was for one of the stewardesses on the plane, but the Holy Spirit had someone else in mind.

I walked up to the check-in counter at the airport, and handed the woman attending me my passport. She looked at me and asked, “Why are you ladies going to Tanzania?” I told her that we were going on a DARE to Believe mission’s trip. And shared very briefly that I was a minister of divine healing and miracles and that I wrote my first book with Destiny Image Publishers.

This woman immediately started to cry and share her life with me. She said that her brother had just recently passed away from a terrible disease, that she herself was diagnosed with MS and that her daughter was sick, and to top it all off, her husband couldn’t handle the stress and left.

She went on to say that she knew she needed to get her life right with God, and so she started to check on-line for information and books and found Destiny Image Publishers and ordered some books, and asked if I had a book on hand. I did. As I handed her a copy of DARE to Believe, I prayed with her right there at the counter and we exchanged contact information.

This is being ready in season and out of season to minister to whomever the Lord leads you to. There are people all around you that are desperate for a touch from our God. They do not know where to turn, but they need you to be willing and able to minister in the power of the Spirit to them.

Even as a minister of divine healing and miracles I too need to put my faith into action. Here is a real life testimony of what happened to me and how faith-filled words and actions work.

Yesterday, I took a not-so-graceful fall. I was walking around our ponds (my daily exercise and a place I just get alone with the Lord during the daytime hours.) And as I was going to cross the stream, I stepped on a board (a broken one) and I went crashing down, doing the splits. I hurt everything there was to hurt.

Our boys came running to my rescue and had to pull me up, cause I couldn’t get up. My nice outfit was sopping wet, full of mud, my rain boots were filled with water and mud. (Very graceful move on my part!)

Everything was in pain and swelling up. (My ankles, wrists, hands, thumbs, back, backside, and bottom. My hand and thumb were instantly swelling and I could see the black and blue marks forming.)

Honestly, my flesh wanted the sympathy of my husband, who kindly offered it (after he got himself to stop laughing). But I held my tongue and didn’t give into my flesh.

I got myself into the shower, and sized up the situation. Even though my body was shaking, and I knew I hurt myself. I said, “No! No weapon formed against me shall prosper! All pain and swelling be gone in Jesus’ name.”

When I came out of the room, my husband asked me if I was alright. I said, “I have exercised my authority. And I am just fine. Why would I expect anything different?”

All swelling and pain left. I have no bruises. I have been walking up and down hills and around the ponds, working with my hands and even typing on my computer too.

Faith-filled words and actions in the redemptive work of Christ, works! DARE to Believe!!!

Good News for All People

In Luke 2:10-11, the angel of the Lord appears to some shepherds in the fields and announces, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”

This message of good news still rings loud and clear for us today. Jesus Christ came from heaven to redeem people. To save us from hell, to rescue us from sin and to deliver us from the consequences of sin. This is the good news that we read in John 3:16-17, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.”

This is the simplicity and the good news of Christmas. The Father sent His Son, to give eternal life to all people who will believe. Let’s pray.

Blessed Is She Who Believed

Luke 1:45 “And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what had been spoken to her by the Lord.”

Mary receives the blessing of the fulfillment of the promise because she believes. And this is how it works for us as well. Faith activates the promise of God. We first believe and then we receive.

Jesus says in Mark 9:23, “All things are possible to him who believes.” There are no limits when we believe in Him to fulfill His promises to us.

A Bondslave of the Lord

In Luke 1:38 we see Mary’s amazing response to the news she receives from Gabriel. “Behold, the bondslave of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word.” What a humble heart this young woman has. Not only does she surrender, but she enslaves herself to the will of God.

Perhaps, God is asking you to do something for Him that you do not fully understand. In fact, it borders on the line of being ridiculous and unbelievable to conceive. If so, I encourage you to humble your heart like Mary, and enslave your will to His.

There is a promise in Jeremiah 29:11 that we can claim, “For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.”

His plans are to bless and prosper our lives, to save others, and to bring Him great glory through us.
