A WAVE OF HEALING

As I am praying and fasting I have a great sense of expectancy within my spirit. A wave of healing is about to hit the Western World like never before. No longer will people say, “Why doesn’t divine healing manifest in the United States and other parts of the Western World?” A wave of divine healing is coming. Expect to get wet!

But along with this wave will be a strong undertow of unbelief that will try to pull you away. Don’t allow satan the liberty to pull you under. Rise to the top and believe.

This wave will be different than before. It won’t be in isolated locations with pockets of people receiving. This wave will manifest in all places, and to all people.

Ministers of Healing are rising to the top of this wave, and not only will they minister healing, but they will equip the Body of Christ how to ride this wave.

The blind will see, the deaf will hear, the mute will speak, the paralytics will walk, incurable diseases will be healed and the dead will rise. Unusual types of miracles are in this wave, and it is coming to the Western World.

Don’t be afraid of the water. It’s what you have been waiting for. The power in this wave will overtake and heal all that are willing to step in and get wet.

Get ready, a wave of healing is on the way.

He Gives You Your Desires

It’s Christmas and God wants to give you the desires of your heart.  God isn’t stingy like Scrooge, withholding your needs. He doesn’t have a grumpy disposition like the Grinch, who is trying to find a way to steal your joy.  He is good and is both able and willing to bless you with good gifts. It says in the Amplified Bible in Ephesians 3:20, “Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to[carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]”

These words, superabundantly, far over, and above are referring to His generosity towards us. But it says that all that we dare ask or think, infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams are brought about by the power that is at work within us. What is this power that is working within us that activates his generosity towards us? It is the power of true faith.

Faith is trust, and this trust is going beyond just basic needs but being confident that He is willing to give you the desires of your heart.  1John 5:14-15 says, “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”

Let me share a testimony how God gave me my heart’s desire.

We are missionaries living in Guatemala. We have 4 energetic young boys ages 9, 10, 11, and 12 years old. We live in a small pueblo with a yard that is about 15’ x 70’ in size. My heart’s desire is that our boys have a bigger yard with space to run and play and just be the active boys that they are.

I boldly asked God to give me my heart’s desire.  He did! In a few days, we are moving to a new home that is built in the midst of a 100 acre forest. This is, superabundantly, far over, above and 100 times bigger than my dream.

There is an actual gift for you from God with your heart’s desire. Ask in faith, dare to believe, and you will receive.

A Gift of Reconciliation

A gift of reconciliation wrapped with unconditional love, tied with a beautiful white bow of forgiveness may be the perfect gift given to the undeserving one this Christmas.

Perhaps, the receiver will be slow to open this most precious gift, but the giver needs to dare to believe and offer the gift.

And once the gift is ready to give, the giver needs to cut all ties of conditions so that the gift can be free to give to receive.

We are the receivers of such a gift, the unconditional love of the Father. Its gift wrap is flowing with crimson, adorning a bow of forgiveness and is waiting under His tree to freely receive.

Why Difficult to Receive Healing?

Liz asks, “Why do you think it is hard for Christians to receive healing? It seems most are already resigned to go the medical route because God uses doctors.” Liz this is a great question, and there is an answer.

I believe that it has been difficult for Christians, especially in the Western World, to receive healing because they have not been taught about faith for healing on a consistent basis.

People are willing to wait 7 to 10 days for an antibiotic to heal their bodies, because they have been taught for many years that if they take two tablespoons of this medicine, three times a day they will be healed. They are even willing to overlook physical symptoms of the illness, because they have been taught that the symptoms and the sickness will be healed as long as they take the medicine faithfully. So, their faith has been activated, they follow their doctor’s instructions, and they are healed by the medicine.

But God’s people are not willing to wait this amount of time for divine healing to manifest, because they have not been consistently taught that if they will be faithful to take God’s medicine, His Word concerning healing, three times a day, morning, noon and night, that their bodies will be healed. And because of the lack of faith teaching for healing, if they experience any type of symptom after prayer they doubt the power in God’s medicine, and are not healed.

When God’s people hear the message of faith for healing on a consistent basis and put faith for healing into action then they are healed. And not only are they healed, but they walk in divine health and avoid sickness all together.

Our faith to dare to believe God for healing will be activated when we are taught the Word for healing on a consistent basis.

Liz, this is why it has been difficult for Christians to receive healing.

A Gift of Hope for Christmas

Miguel nearly choked when he received the doctor’s diagnosis of cancer. He was sent home for the month of December to spend his last Christmas with his family.

We were invited to their home to pray for him. We encouraged him in the Word, anointed him with oil and ministered healing to him, but most important of all we gave him the gift of hope for Christmas. He dared to believe and was miraculously healed of cancer.

His family rejoices and now share with others what they were given years ago, a gift of hope for Christmas.

Avoid Spiritual Fruitcake

During the Christmas season many share and enjoy a rich, traditional delight called fruitcake. A fruitcake consists of a variety of textures, colors and flavors. Generally, fruitcake is a mixture of fruits and nuts with just enough batter to hold them together, and if kept in a tightly closed tin, a fruitcake may be kept for months or even years.

But fruitcake is also a negative label given to individuals whose ideas, speech, and actions are wacky, and unappealing to others around them. As Christians, we want to avoid becoming a spiritual fruitcake.

A spiritual fruitcake is one who lacks balance between the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. They are filled with zeal for the moves of the Spirit, but have not developed understanding and wisdom that come from the Word.

In this post I am going to give a simple recipe to follow so that we can preserve our witness for life.

Ingredients:

1. Word of God – Add a generous amount daily.

It says in Joshua 1:8-9,  “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.  (9)  Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

2. Living Waters  – Mix with the Word of God.

Jesus says in John 7:37-39,  “In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)”

3. Redemption – We must carefully follow the instructions listed in Romans 10:9-13.

There is only one way to add this ingredient. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Because in Ephesians 1:7  it clearly tells us, “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;”

4. Relationship – This ingredient takes time to cultivate.

David cried out in Psalm 42:1-2,  “As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?”

5. Revelation  – As the other ingredients listed above are cultivated this special ingredient will naturally supernaturally come.

This truth is revealed to us in 1Corinthians 2:14, “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

6. Living Word  – If above ingredients are mixed well, your batter will come alive.

It says in Hebrews 4:12, “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

7. Consistency – You need to double check your batter on a regular basis to see if it is right.

2Corinthians 13:5a instructs us to, “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves.”

8. Balance – We must take the time to weigh the batter to see if we have balance.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 encourages us that, “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:”

9. Fruits of the Spirit – It is very important to carefully add all the Fruits of the Spirit into the batter.

These fruits are listed in Galatians 5:22-23, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”

10. Gifts of the Spirit – These are added as the Holy Spirit wills for the benefit of all.

1Corinthians 12:8-10 lists the gifts that the Holy Spirit will be adding, “For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:”

The batter is the base of the recipe and it holds the other ingredients in their place. The Word of God is our spiritual batter and it holds every area of life together. In order to have a good batter we need to read and study the Word of God 365 days / year.

A batter needs to have the right consistency, so we need to carefully measure our ingredients. The amount of liquid determines the consistency of the batter. A runny batter has too much liquid and not enough solids and can’t hold other ingredients together. A thick batter has too much solid and lacks sufficient liquid and is difficult to work with.

We need the Living Waters, the redemptive blood of Jesus Christ and His power, the Holy Spirit freely flowing in our lives. If we have the Word of God only, then we have religion. But when we have relationship with our Redeemer, Jesus Christ and the revelation of the Holy Spirit, the Word of God becomes the Living Word.

The Fruits of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance add the balance that is needed to preserve a good witness throughout our lifetime.

And added at the right time a mixture of the Gifts of the Spirit, a word of wisdom, a word of knowledge, faith, gifts of healings, working of miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, diverse kinds of tongues, and the interpretation of tongues, will add the variety of textures, colors and flavors needed to draw others to Christ and His ways through us.

Working with this recipe will prevent us from becoming spiritual fruitcakes and will enhance the variety of textures, colors and flavors that we’ve been given that will preserve our testimony of God’s grace upon our lives.

Faith is Our Title Deed

Many people are suffering from broken marriages, financial difficulties, and from incurable sicknesses and diseases. They desire a miraculous touch from God and do not understand why it is not happening.  They have not been taught that they possess a title deed called “faith” that gives them covenant rights with the Father to make their hopes a reality.

Recently, after ministering the Word of God at a faith and healing conference I went to minister healing to the sick. I was presented to a woman who had been bound to a wheelchair for many years. She was bitter and angry with everyone, but mostly at God. Her marriage was in ruins. Her dream to be a mother was stolen from her. Her financial situation looked impossible. And she lost her desire to live.

As I went to lay my hand on her to pray she screamed out with all her might, “When God?” I knelt down and looked her in the eye and said, “God is not withholding your miracle from you. This tragedy in your life is not of God, but of satan. Right now, we are going to take our authority over satan and all of his wicked works and release God’s healing power into your body. Then, we are going to put our faith in action and you will walk again.”

How could I be so sure that God was going to heal this woman? Because I know God, and

His Word says in 1John 3:8b about Jesus, “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”, and Hebrews 13:20 speaks of the everlasting covenant we have with the Father, Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,”

This everlasting covenant we have with our heavenly Father is our title deed that states in 1John 5:14-15, “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”

A title deed is a legal document that has been signed, sealed and delivered that lawfully transfers property to a new owner and verifies that person’s legal right to possess it. According to Hebrews 11:1 faith is our title deed, and we are the rightful owners of those things we are hoping for.

“NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, [a]the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].” Amplified Bible

What is it that we are hoping for? Are we hoping for physical healing? Our title deed states in Jeremiah 30:17a, “For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD;” Are we hoping for a restored marriage? It is written in Matthew 19:26, “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” Are we hoping for a better job that can support the needs of our family? Philippians 4:19 promises us, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

The woman who was bound to a wheelchair, who’s marriage was in ruins, and her dream to have children was lost, needed a title deed called “faith” in order to make her hopes a reality.

She received this free title deed and dared to believe and now walks, her marriage is restored, she is expecting a child, and the financial situation is better than it was before.

We too, need a title deed that gives us the legal right to possess these hopes, and faith in God’s goodness and grace to honor His Word is our title deed.

Be a Witness

The other day I was sitting on a plane that was returning to the gate because it was too heavy to lift off the ground. The airline company was asking for volunteers to de-board the plane and take the next flight that evening to Guatemala instead. Five of us volunteered. We were well compensated for any inconvenience.  I was to find out that God had a much broader plan in mind than just a mere $800 voucher for my next trip. I was about to have lunch with Jesus and a few other guests, and I was being asked to be a witness.

There was an older man in the group, named Santi who was loud, offensive, controlling and obviously very angry with God.  I had to fine-tune my spiritual ears to hear above his rough speech and listen to his underlying message.  I gave him permission to share his opinions and I said that I would listen to him.

He said he had visited many denominations in his lifetime and basically was turned off by the hypocrisy that he saw. He claimed he read the Bible once all-the- way- through about 30 years ago, and tried to persuade me that it wasn’t true.  He knew a little bit of Church history and was well versed in its fallen leaders, but clearly had no understanding of the Scriptures. He would ask me questions, but really didn’t want me to answer him, but I did anyways. He would mock everything I said, except for my testimonies. My testimonies silenced his critical tongue and made him extremely uncomfortable, but after a while he turned to me and said about my testimonies, “That’s true faith.”

A young woman, named Katherine in her early twenties was with us, and she shared that she was raised in the Church, but was hurt by the Church as a child and said she was agnostic.  As I listened to her I felt I should apologize on behalf of the Church for her pain, and I did. As she listened to Santi and I share our beliefs this agnostic young woman was verbally agreeing with me and said, “I too believe in a triune God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.” She admitted that she was searching.

The other woman in the group was named Elizabeth and confessed that she believed in Jesus, but believed it was best not to talk about “religion”, but she interrupted Santi several times and disagreed with his unbelief. She made it very clear that she believed in Jesus.

I’m not offended by Santi’s harsh words. The truth of the matter is that he is not against me, but against Jesus in me, and he detests the hypocrisy that he sees within the Church. In all honesty, I can look beyond his arrogant nature and see with my spiritual eyes a hurting and lost man that needs the love of God.

I made it very clear that I was not a believer in religion, but a believer in relationship with Jesus Christ. God created us with a free will to follow Him or to deny Him. There is a heaven and a hell, and those that choose to deny Him will go to hell.

So, I pray for Santi and Katherine that both will surrender and give all their hurt and bitterness to Jesus in exchange for healing and peace and everlasting life with Jesus Christ in heaven. And that Elizabeth will learn to speak up and share her faith in Jesus, and be a witness to those around her. Amen.

Infertile Couple Conceive

This lovely Guatemalan couple was unable to conceive a child. As I ministered healing to them I was impressed to share a Word from the Lord for them. “If you will put your faith into action, choose names, envision holding your own child, and speak words of faith that you are going to have a child, then within one year it will come to pass.” They dared to believe God and it came to pass exactly as the Lord had spoken. Meet their little baby girl, “Karin.”
