Do You Feel Alone?

Something hurtful has happened to you and you feel like you are all alone. Perhaps, you are being attacked with sickness and disease and lack the physical strength to be with people. Maybe you lost a loved one and are struggling to heal from the real pain of grief. Or you may have been betrayed by a spouse or close friend. There are many reasons why we can feel all alone at times and it is difficult to pick up the broken pieces and move forward again. If this is where you are at in life right now, I encourage you to spend time with the Lord every day, and meditate upon the following Scriptures and allow the healing process to begin.

We are reminded in 1 Peter 5:7,casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully]. Lord, I know that I am not to be worried, but sometimes I am, and especially now. Help me to deal with each and everyone of my concerns, and to take into account all that You have promised me, and that You care for me. I ask this in your name, amen.

Isaiah 41:10 encourages us with these words. ‘Do not fear [anything], for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you; I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation].’ Call out to the Father right now and tell Him, “Father God, I am fearful that I will not ever feel well again, that my healing might not manifest. I feel insecure that I do not measure up to you and to others. I am afraid of being alone. Help me Holy Spirit to remember that I am never alone, that You will never leave me, nor forsake me, in Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

Jesus, I sense a real lack of support during this time of need in my life. Help me to see that my help comes from You. “The man of too many friends [chosen indiscriminately] will be broken in pieces and come to ruin, but there is a [true, loving] friend who [is reliable and] sticks closer than a brother,” Proverbs 18:24. Thank You, Jesus, because You are my true friend, and I desire to come into close fellowship with You.

Holy Spirit, help me to be patient with myself and those around me, and to remember your promise in Psalm 147:3, He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds [healing their pain and comforting their sorrow]. I give You my brokenness, pain and sorrow. I receive Your comfort during this time of great pain. I accept Your healing balm of Gilead into my my mind and emotions.  And I confess with my mouth, that I may have lost someone or something very dear to me, but I am not lost. You found me. I am not someone without hope, for You are the hope of my salvation. I am not alone, because You will never leave me. I am loved by You, and Your love is unconditional towards me. You care about me, and provide for my every need. You heal me and make me whole in spirit, soul, and in body. With Your help, I will mediate upon these promises found in Your holy Scriptures and I will see that I am not alone, and this spirit of heaviness, this loneliness lifts off of me. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

Not to Give Up Is a Decision

Not to give up is a decision that we all have to make from time to time. And it can be one of the hardest decisions we will ever have to make. Continuing to fight the enemy is real tough, and it takes every ounce of faith within you to do so. Especially when we are dealing with life and death situations. For Christians we know if we die we pass into eternity with Christ, and that is a wonderful occasion. But we need to ask ourselves have we fulfilled God’s destiny for us on this earth. And does the situation line itself up with the Word of God.

Does God take people from this earth with sickness and disease? According to the Scriptures Jesus was whipped to heal us from all sickness and disease.

But [in fact] He has borne our griefs, and He has carried our sorrows and pains; yet we [ignorantly] assumed that He was stricken, struck down by God and degraded and humiliated [by Him]. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing];
The punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him, and by His stripes (wounds) we are healed, Isaiah 53:4-5, AMP.

Does our Lord remove people from this earth through tragedy? The following verse from John 10:10 tells us that Jesus comes to give us life and life in abundance. Tragedy is not life or life in abundance. But this verse does tell us who is responsible for such grief, “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].

Is it the Father’s plan that people die while young, or prematurely? What does His Word tell us? “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future,” Jeremiah 29:11. Premature death robs people from their future, so it does not come from God.

So when the enemy tempts you to give up the good fight of faith, don’t listen to him. Instead call upon the strength of the Lord when you feel weak and allow His strength to take over for you. Remember, not to give up is a decision.

Fight the Good Fight of Faith

Even when the situation cries death and hopelessness–fight the good fight of faith.

Never give up, and never give in to the enemy’s fear tactics.

No matter what the situation looks like–with Jesus there is always hope.

Hope for healing and miracles, and hope for a future.

Remember, Jesus suffered and died in your place, and it was a horrible place,

but then joy returned in the morning when He rose from the dead, and this is reason to stand fast for your miracle.

The enemy whispers wicked lies to implant seeds of doubt within your mind,

because he knows it’s the pathway to your heart.

His vision is to steer you into the realm of unbelief,

and his mission to get you to enter there is to steal your hope, kill your trust in Jesus, and ultimately destroy your life.

This is why more than ever before, you must hold up your shield of faith to ward off the fiery darts of the enemy,

and every time he manifests with lies, symptoms, and complications thrust your sword of the Spirit at him and declare God’s promises to you instead.

The devil is a liar, there is no truth in him. He is the father of all lies.

Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He is the God of all truth.

In Jesus you will always find your hope, your reason to believe and to have faith.

It’s your decision to pick up your spiritual armor and fight or neglect the use of your armor and not to fight.

But the Spirit of the Lord wants to encourage you to “Fight the good fight of faith”.

With Jesus you always win.

I Trust You, Lord

No matter the situation, no matter what the report says, “I trust You, Lord.”

My mind shouts one thing, but my spirit calmly whispers, “I trust You.”

The doctors say prepare to die, but my soul says, “No, I trust in my God.”

I know You, and You do not change. Therefore, I can confidently say, “I trust You.”

You have not deafened Your ear to my heartfelt prayer, I know You readily hear me.

You have not withdrawn Your loving hand of provision from me. You are faithful to me.

You had me in mind when You suffered and bled at the whipping post for my healing.

You are the supreme example of compassion–love in action and You activated Your love for me.

My 5 senses want to rule over my faith, but I will not allow them to do so, because my trust is in You.

When I feel weak, You remain strong within me. I hold onto Your promise that You in me is greater than the enemy in the world.

When I deal with depressing thoughts, I overcome with Your joy that gives to me supernatural strength.

With You I can smile and laugh because I know with You everything is going to be alright.

You have been patient and longsuffering with me as I strengthen my faith to believe.

You have been faithful and true, You have never left me, nor forsaken me, You have been at my side every step of the way.

And day by day, my trust in You is stronger than it was yesterday.

Jesus Understands Fear and Loneliness

Do you feel like no one understands what you are going through? Trials make us feel this way. Do you sometimes feel like God doesn’t understand? The enemy wants us to feel like this, but this is when we need to encourage ourselves in the faith that God does care–He understands what we are going through.  Hebrews 4;15-16 tells us,For we do not have a High Priest who is unable to sympathize and understand our weaknesses and temptations, but One who has been tempted [knowing exactly how it feels to be human] in every respect as we are, yet without [committing any] sin. Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment]”.

Sickness oftentimes causes great fear, and fear is very real, it is an actual spirit. 1 Timothy 1:7 says, For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. I have found during years of healing ministry that a spirit of fear travels with sickness and disease. It is often the forerunner of a spirit of premature death. It takes a decision on the part of the one that is gravely ill to not give into this spirit, and force themselves into the arena of faith where power, love, and a sound mind exist. And Jesus more than anyone else understands this battle. In the Garden of Gethsemane He knew He was about to be slaughtered for all people and that the suffering would be so torturous that He battled fear and sweat great drops of blood. (See Luke 22:41-44.) He was tempted to give up, but He overcame this fear by faith and prayer. And this is how you will too.

Illness often makes people feel like they are all alone. Jesus experienced loneliness the night He was arrested and during the suffering of Calvary when those closest to Him deserted Him because they feared being seen with Him would cause them harm, even possible death. And when He transformed into the Curse to redeem us from it He felt the ultimate loneliness–separation from His Heavenly Father so we would never have to know this loneliness. “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” Matthew 27:46. If you feel lonely now, call upon the name of Jesus. He understands the pain of what you are suffering. Jesus is a friend who sticks closer than a brother, see Proverbs 18:24. He promises to never leave us or forsake us, see Hebrews 13:5.

Jesus is our Lord and High Priest, and He understands the fear and loneliness that we can pass through at times. And if you are facing these types of difficulties in your life now take comfort in knowing that He loves and cares about you, He has not left you alone. He’s right by your side. Call out to Him by faith, and let Him hold you tight until the fear and loneliness passes.

Has the Devil Hacked Your Spiritual Bank Account? Part 4

In part 1, part 2, and part 3  we’ve seen how the enemy can hack into our spiritual bank account in the areas of forgiveness, healing, redemption, and stealing lovingkindness and tender mercies , and the good things God desires to satisfy us with. We have one last area to examine, “your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”

Psalm 103: 2-5 to find out.Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

We are all growing older and this is a fact of life that we cannot change, but does this mean we have to fall apart? According to the Scriptures, no we do not. Amazing claim, yes, but we need to examine what Jesus redeemed us from, the Curse.

The moment Adam and Eve willingly chose to disobey God, corruption moved in. Corruption in the spiritual realm, and in the physical realm as well. But since then Jesus came and redeemed us from the Curse and the consequences of the Curse. Part of the consequence was sickness and disease—corruption of the physical body. But Jesus paid the ultimate price with His blood at the whipping post where He was whipped for all sickness and disease in Isaiah 53:5.

If we will believe and receive the power of His blood shed for us at the whipping post our physical healings will manifest, and our youth will be renewed like the eagle’s. According to Strong’s H2318, the Hebrew word of “renewed” is “chadash” and it means to make new, to renew, rebuild, or to repair.  These are words about restoring something that has worn out. And in this case it is referring to our youth. We do not have to follow in the ways of the world and fall apart.

Isaiah 40:31 tells us, “But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” Renewing our strength goes hand in hand with waiting on the Lord.  The Amplified Version says it this way, “But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] will gain new strength and renew their power; they will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun]; they will run and not become weary, they will walk and not grow tired.” If we will expect. Expect what? If we will expect God to make good on His promises to heal, to renew, to repair what is sick and worn down our strength will be renewed. If we will look for Him, put Him first in every area of our lives, we will find Him and be rewarded with His benefits, such as our youth being renewed like the eagle’s strength. If we will put our hope in Jesus and all of His healing promises that which we need and desire will come to pass and our healings and recreated body parts will manifest.

God’s benefits are not difficult to obtain, they come to pass as we bless Him and take time to remember what His Word says and begin to activate all of His promises one by one.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Help me to bless You with my daily life. Holy Spirit, remind me about His benefits and teach me how to activate them every day. I thank You that even when my body is getting older You long to give to me healing for sick and weak body parts, and to even recreate those that have worn down. What a treasure it is to wait upon You.

In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

Has the Devil Hacked Your Spiritual Bank Account? Part 3

In part 1 and part 2 we discussed how the devil can hack into your spiritual bank account in the areas of forgiveness of iniquities, healing of diseases, redemption from a life of destruction, and stealing lovingkindness and tender mercies from your crown. Today we are going to discuss how he fills our mouths with good things.  Who satisfies your mouth with good things,” Psalm 103:5.

Luke 6:45 says, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.”

The heart and the mouth are powerful instruments in the realm of faith. The mouth proclaims what is in the depths of the spiritual heart. Romans 10:8-10 confirms this and gives deeper insight to their purpose:

But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

According to this portion of Scripture, the heart believes and the mouth confesses. What does the heart believe? It believes unto righteousness–justification or right standing with God. And what does the heart confess? Confession is made unto salvation, and according o our word study in Chapter 2 this word salvation is holistic and includes healing of the spirit, soul, and body.

In Psalm 103:2-5, one of the benefits we are to remember is that He satisfies our mouths with good things. We are to take these good things and impart them to others, like faith for eternal life with Jesus, faith for deliverance from demonic oppression or possession, or faith for physical healing to name a few of the good things.

Let’s focus in on the spiritual purpose of the mouth in regard to physical healing. Now, the devil does not want us to share these good things with others. In fact, he is downright nasty, and he wants us to keep quiet about the glory of our Lord. One way he will try to gag us is with physical weapons of sickness and disease against the mouth. It is a challenge to be a mouthpiece for the Lord when your mouth is swollen or full of sores or inflicted with some other type of illness. It makes it laborious to speak out loud when the mouth is sick.

Last year, a couple of days before I would minister, my tongue would break out with canker sores. At first, I thought it was because I was dehydrated from the plane ride, and from a human standpoint it was a logical explanation. The second time it happened, I started to wonder if this was spiritual, and not physical because I made sure I drank plenty of water before, during, and after the flight. The third time it happened, I knew without a doubt I was under attack.

To break this demonic attack against the power of my tongue, my good friend Palma and I entered into a time of prayer and fasting. The stronghold was broken, and I did not have this problem again.

Another minister, Margie from Ocala, Florida, suffered from severe gum diseae. She could not eat or even touch her teeth lightly together without serious pain. But the message she heard taught at the healing service resonated deep within her spirit, she put the message of faith to the test and activated her faith. She started to bite down on her teeth. To Margie’s delight, her gums and teeth were instantly healed in Jesus’ name.

No matter how we were attacked by the enemy, we continued to confess with our mouths what we believed in our hearts to be true about the goodness of te Lord’s salvation to the people. When we were in need, we both received supernatural healing in our mouths as well.

I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart; I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation; I have not concealed Your lovingkindness and Your truth from the great assembly, Psalm 40:10.

Has the Devil Hacked into Your Spiritual Bank Account? Part 2

In part 1 we discussed how the devil can hack into your spiritual bank account in the areas of forgiveness of iniquities, healing of diseases, and redemption from a life of destruction. We are going to continue on in our study from Psalm 103:2-5, starting with verse 4b, “Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies.”

How can the enemy steal your crown of lovingkindness and tender mercies? I think we can look at this in a couple of different ways. Lovingkindness and tender mercies are terms of endearment. And lovingkindness means “tenderness and consideration toward others”. We would all agree that the enemy does not want us to believe that God holds us dear to His heart. In fact the enemy works hard to get us to believe that God is harsh, unloving and uncaring towards us. He portrays God as being monstrous towards people, always placing the blame for tragedy upon Him. But what does the Bible say about God’s character? Let’s look at 7 verses concerning how He is.

  • God is faithful, 1 Corinthians 10:13.
  • God is merciful, gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy, Psalm 103:8.
  • He is patient, not wanting anyone to perish, 2 Peter 3:9.
  • God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, John 3:16.
  • God is not a human that He should lie, Numbers 23:19.
  • He is a God of justice, Psalm 50:6.
  • God is gracious, righteous and full of compassion, Psalm 116:5.

Just in these 7 verses alone we see that God is faithful, merciful, gracious, slow to get angry, abounds in mercy, He’s patient, He loves all people, He’s a giver and gives to us His best, He does not lie, He’s just, righteousness and full of compassion. Don’t listen to anyone, especially the devil try tell you anything different about Him.

God’s not angry with you. He doesn’t think evil about you. He really cares about you. The Word clearly tells us in Psalm 139:17-18,How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; when I awake, I am still with You.” Jeremiah 29:11 tells us how He thinks about us,For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” These Scriptures do not sound as if our God lacks in the area of lovingkindness towards us, in fact they declare the opposite.

What about tender mercies? Exodus 34:6-7 tell us that the Lord is merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth.  And it goes on to tell us that He is keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin. These are all amazing qualities and He is clearly full of great love and compassion for us.

So the next time satan tries to steal lovingkindness and tender mercy from your crown–don’t let him. Rebuke him, and put him in his place–under your feet in the name of Jesus, and relish in the fact that He thinks good of you, and that His good thoughts about you outnumber the sand. That’s an amazing fact to meditate upon today.

We will continue on with His benefits in the next post.

Has the Devil Hacked Your Spiritual Bank Account? Part 1

Has the devil hacked into your spiritual bank account? Has he stolen your heavenly benefits given to you by Jesus? I guess before we can rightly answer these questions we need to remind ourselves just what are our spiritual benefits. Let’s look to Psalm 103: 2-5 to find out.Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases,Who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. This is quite the list, let’s examine the first 3 today.

1. He forgives our iniquities. Iniquities means perversity, depravity or sin. How could the enemy steal your forgiveness? Number one, he can’t steal your forgiveness, but he will twist God’s promise to forgive to get you to believe you are not forgiven or cannot be forgiven. How does he do this? By whispering falsehoods to your mind until you accept his lies that God holds confessed sins against you. But according to 1 John 1:9, If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” How do we take back what satan has hacked from our account concerning forgiveness? We have to make a quality decision to rightly judge God’s character– He does not lie and correctly divide the Word of God and call satan what he truly is–a liar, and then make the all important choice to believe–God is truth.

You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it, John 8:44.

“God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” Numbers 23:19.

2. He heals all our diseases. To heal means to cure, repair or to make whole. And Jesus healed us from all disease when He shed His blood for us at the whipping post. Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken,  smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed,” Isaiah 53:4-5.

How does satan steal our healing from us? There are many ways he does this but it is always through the way of doubt and unbelief. And what does it say in James 1:6-8 regarding doubt? But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;  he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

And do as Sarah does in Hebrews 11:11,By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised.”

There comes a point in each of our lives when we have to face the fact, we either believe or we don’t. Some people have hearts that are very soft and pliable to the ways of the Lord and therefore, they readily believe the promise of God for healing and immediately receive. While others have issues that need to be worked through in order for them to believe and receive their miracle from God. But either way, God is patient and longsuffering with us and is willing to work with us wherever we are at spiritually. So I encourage you to work on your faith level–study God’s healing promises until His promise to heal is more real to you than the disease attacking your being.

3. He redeems our life from destruction. Destruction means corruption, the grave, and the pit of Hell. And redeem means to avenge and to pay ransom. To avenge is to inflict harm on behalf of (oneself or someone else previously wronged or harmed). And Jesus definitely did so for us at Calvary. And He paid ransom with His blood to redeem us from the clutches of the enemy.

How can the enemy steal this redemption from people? By causing them not to believe and receive this plan of redemption that He so richly gave to us.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16.

Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3.

The Lord does not delay [as though He were unable to act] and is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is [extraordinarily] patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9, AMP.

The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9-10 that, “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.1 John 5:13-14.

Ultimately, it is your decision to receive or to reject His plan of redemption. I pray you will make the right choice and believe and receive Jesus as your Savior this day.

In closing, in order to prevent satan from stealing our benefits, or to take back what he has stolen from us we have to make a decision with each of the benefits to believe God’s Word and live according to the faith we have in His ways. It’s our decision to believe or not, but wisdom tells us that God’s ways are best for us and for those around us. We will continue on in activating our spiritual benefits in the next post. For now, make sure you do your part in these first 3 benefits–believe and receive them.

You Remain Strong Within Me

Word of the Lord – June 11, 2018

When I am weak, You remain strong within Me.

When my heart is overwhelmed, Your Spirit fills me with songs of deliverance.

Regardless of this earthly battle, I have the victory in You.

You are my rock, my high tower, and my secret hiding place.

And as I gaze upon Your face, I see such amazing grace.

As I bend my knee before Thee, I discover what it means to be free.

You have lifted me from a low place, and set me above the storm that forms where I can see Your glory shine as far as my spirit eye can see.

I see Your wonders all around.

I hear Your voice calling out to me.

I feel Your presence ever near.

I taste Your goodness to me.

I can smell Your sweetness as the end draws near.

I will not fear, but will walk in Your power, love, and remain with a sound mind.

How I long to see you, but will remain faithful to do my Father’s bidding.

With this fresh goal before me, I will lead a life that is full and overflowing with Your glory hovering over me.
