Hope in Times of Crisis

Our family was preparing to leave Guatemala for two months to travel in the States. It was late in the afternoon and we were running behind schedule.

I was walking home from the store and I saw a sister-in-the-Lord sitting in her car waiting for her children to leave the school building. As busy as I was I heard the Lord speak to my heart to walk over and talk to her. When I reached her car I could see that she was clearly distraught about something. I gave her a hug and asked her what was wrong.

This woman was married to a very famous and successful man in Guatemala, but it was just discovered that he was involved with another woman and would not repent. He immediately lost his prestigious position in the Church, no one in their circle reached out to her and the children. She was overwhelmed by the situation, and felt abandoned. She had no money and the next day she and the children did not have a place to stay.  She wanted to leave the country with her children for a time of restoration, but needed time to put things in order. She didn’t know what to do, and she didn’t know where to go for help. I looked at her and invited her to stop by our home to pick up the keys to our house where she and the children could stay rent free for the next two months.

This woman was in a very serious situation, she felt abandoned, afraid, alone, and didn’t have anyone around her to turn to, except for her Savior, Jesus Christ. Psalm 18:6 says, “In my distress I called to the LORD; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.

I walked down a small detour that was off my planned path for the day and offered this woman a gift of hope. And she knew that despite what life had thrown at her, God had not abandoned her and he was faithful, and cared and met the immediate present needs for her and her children. Hebrews 4:15-16 describes the character of Jesus towards us in times of crisis, “For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

The Bible says in Proverbs 13:12, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.  I wasn’t able to take away her pain and hurt, but I was able to offer a little hope.

Are you willing to take a detour today from your plans and offer someone in need a little hope?

Is a Confession of Faith a Lie?

There is great confusion among believers in Christ as to whether or not a confession of faith is a lie. The ninth commandment tells us we are not to lie. Proverbs 12:22 plainly says. “Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight.” And a lying tongue is listed as one of the 7 sins God hates the most. “There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers” (Proverbs 6:16-19). From these 3 verses alone we can gather that lying is a serious sin, and God hates it, and we are to speak the truth.

But then we read verses such as Romans 4:17 that God says, “(as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;” Proverbs 18:21 clearly teaches us,Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.Proverbs 12:18 reveals right type of words bring forth healing, “There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.”

This sets my mind to thinking that there is a huge spiritual difference in the way in which words are being spoken. Some say it is a lie to say, “By His stripes I am healed”, (Isa. 53:5) when they still have physical symptoms of sickness upon them. But, with the story of Abram, later changed to Abraham, he was to call those things that are not as though they already were. No longer was he to confess that he was fatherless with his barren wife, Sari, later changed to Sarah.

The words that one speaks are so vital, that God changes Abram’s name to Abraham. So now, every time he introduces himself, “Hi, I’m Abraham.” He is actually declaring to everyone he meets, “Hi, I’m the father of many nations.” Now, from a carnal perspective that would be telling a lie. His wife was barren. They were elderly. He had one son with his wife’s servant, Hagar. One son, with another woman other than his wife still does not make him a father of many nations.

And God also changed Sari’s name to Sarah, so she would start to declare that she would give birth to nations, kings, prominent people would come from her womb. This too with natural reasoning would be consider a lie. She didn’t even have one child, let alone be the mother of  nations and kings.

James 3: 1-11 warns about the power of the tongue, “My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment. For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.  Indeed, we put bits in horses’ mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body. Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things.

See how great a forest a little fire kindles!  And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind. But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God.  Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.  Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening”

The power of the tongue either blesses or curses, creates or destroys ourselves, others, hopes, dreams, and future plans. So, what is a confession of faith for a healing or a miracle? Is it an arrogant lie? Is it a form of manipulation we use against God to try to get our way? No, it isn’t any of these explanations. What it is then?

A confession of faith for a healing or miracle is faith talk. It’s God’s form of speech. It’s supernatural vocabulary that produces what it declares. And it’s based on faith, and comes from the heart, it believes what it is saying. And I’ll take this deeper, and make it clearer. When we speak a confession of faith for a healing or miracle we are actually prophesying into the situation.

We read of this in Genesis 1: 3a, “And God said, Let there be light.” Another example of this is found in  Ezekiel 37:4, “Again he said unto me, Prophesy to these bones, and say unto them, O you dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.” Jesus prophesies in John 11:43, “And when He thus had spoken, He cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

What happened when God prophesied in Genesis 1:3? Light manifested. And this is what happened when Ezekiel prophesied to the dry bones, So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them.” (Ezekiel. 37:7-8).  And when Jesus prophesied with a loud voice over Lazarus’ dead body it came back to life and walked out from the tomb.

We are not speaking out a lie when we declare a confession of faith for a healing or a miracle. We are activating the gift of prophesy. And according to 1 Corinthians 14:3, the purpose of prophesy is, But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men.

Today, make a quality decision that you will use the power of your words wisely, bless not curse yourself and others, create, build up, not destroy your body in the name of Jesus, and declare those things that are not as though they already are, “In Jesus’ name, I am healed.”

The Progression of a Healing

One of my readers, Jean writes and sends me the following prayer request. I believe this will encourage you and help you to believe for your healing and miracle.

“Dear Becky, I would very much appreciate your prayers for healing for my gum disease and bone loss, and lower teeth. I have an appointment on Friday at 2:30 with my dentist. I don’t have the money for false teeth, I am 67 years old, and I don’t want false teeth. I am totally by myself and have no one to help me except the Lord. Thank you for your prayers, Jean”

I respond. (Wednesday, September 14, 2016 10:39 P.M.).

“Dear Jean, I join my faith with your faith for this situation. Right now, I renounce gum disease in your mouth. I release the healing power of the Holy Spirit to flow into your jaws, gums and teeth. I command all pain, swelling, pressure and head and jaw aches to cease in Jesus’ name. I speak into the roots of your teeth to be healed from the inside to the outside of your teeth, your gums and jaws to be healed from the inside to the outside as well. I declare that you are healed. Put your faith into action, open and close your jaws… Be healed in Jesus’ name, amen.”

 Jean’s response back to me. (Thursday, September 15, 2016 8:52 A.M.).

“Dear Becky, I just checked my email now. Thank you so much! Praise God!! All is well. Thank you for standing with me on this!! God bless you for this, Becky. Thank you, thank you!!! Jean”

I write back to Jean straight away. “Please share your healing testimony with me.”

Later on this morning, Jean writes back. (September 15, 2016 at 11:09 A.M.)

“Yes, I will!  Can tell you now there is no more pain or tenderness around the “offending” tooth on lower left!!  No tenderness when I press on the gum portion where it was!  PRAISE GOD!!  Yesterday before writing you, I canceled the dental appointment for Friday at 2:30 this week CT, telling them I’d reschedule.  (I just felt like I should, then a couple of hours later felt I should ask you for prayer.) I will write and let you know what the dentist says. Next Thursday at 3:00 P.M.. on 9/22 is the appointment.  The Lord is the BEST dentist, and I thank the Lord for sending you to pray.  All’s well.

This came from smoking, which we know where that comes from.  Jesus delivered me completely from smoking December 31, 2014 when I got very sick with pneumonia, and was coughing up blood, here alone in my house. I haven’t wanted another cigarette since then, and I do not have withdrawals, nothing.  I took care of my teeth, I ‘t drink or do drugs at all, but I did smoke.  There is a price to pay for sin.  Sometimes even after one quits it.  But now I just want to be right with Him no matter what.  Smoking was very selfish of me, and it truly grieved the Holy Spirit, and I’m so sorry for that.  When He let me see how much (in a very gentle way) it broke my heart.  Am so sorry for all those years of selfishness and going my own way.  I will continue loving him no matter what.

Thanks so much for your post on faith this morning.  I read it several times.  I am going to read it everyday.  I have been going through continual “stuff” for five years now, ever since my mom died, one thing after another, bizarre things beyond my control, lots of stress, sorrows, etc.  But it always works out well.

I am so glad He was there through it all for you and yours! Thank you so much for your post this morning. Thank you for praying for me too.”

Take note of a few faith principles that are activated during this healing process.
1. Jean repents of sin and is delivered from addiction. Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.” Acts 3:19.
2. She confesses her sin to another believer. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. James 5:16.
3. She doesn’t blame God for this attack, but is mature in faith and realizes that there are consequences to bad behaviors. “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” Romans 6:23.
4. Just as she goes to God for forgiveness, she now turns to Him for healing too. “When Jesus heard it, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” Mark 2:17.
5. She has been feeding her faith with the healing word. So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17.
6. She puts her faith into action reaches out and requests ministry for healing. Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. James 2:17.
7. I respond with faith-filled words. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Proverbs 18:21.
8. She again activates her faith and does something she could not do before without pain, she opens and closes her mouth, and bites down on her jaw. “Then he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out and it was completely restored, just as sound as the other.” Matthew 12:13.
9. She gives thanks to God for her healing. “When one of them saw that he was healed, he came back. He praised God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked Him.” Luke 17:15.
10. She testifies of the manifested healing power in her life. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Revelation 12:11.
Be encouraged by this delightful testimony, and trust God for your healing too.

Need Advice How to Minister Healing

“Morning Becky, if you have time I need a little advise. I am going to pray for a man who has cancer and is dying. His daughter who goes to our church said she is at peace because he is born again. I would say he is mid 60’s. I told him I would come over to pray and that I expect a complete recovery. I will curse the cancer and command it to leave along with new life to flow into him in Jesus’ name and also pray as the Holy Spirit leads me.”

Dear Mike,

1. Ask the man what he wants. You want to bring him to the place where he himself confesses life. You will probably need to do a little teaching about God’s will concerning healing. Read to him from Chapter 3, Resolving Doubts and Questions , focusing in on “Premature Death” on pages 81-83 of DARE to Believe. Make it very clear that God is not the author of cancer and premature death, but the giver of life.
2. Encourage him that God says we are to choose life. Its a decision that he has to make, but life is God’s will always. He needs to confess that He wills for him to be healed and live.
3. Lay your hands upon him, I would anoint him with oil, he needs a strong visual. Renounce the spirit of death, cancer, pain, fear and unbelief. Release the Spirit of life to flow into his body, cells, blood, effected body parts. Command the pain and swelling to leave. (Pain is a controller you need to get it off of him.) Command cells, blood, body parts and systems to be recreated, to function together to produce life. Declare the Word over him that he will live and not die.
4. Spend time teaching him that his words have the power to create or to destroy and give him actual confessions to speak.
5. If you can baptize him with the Holy Spirit and have him pray in the Spirit everyday over his body, his healing will manifest more rapidly.

I know that is quite a list, but he is suffering from the result of wrong doctrine.

God Is Waiting On Our Faith

There are times in life when it just doesn’t make any sense to believe God’s promise. I’m sure when Moses and the Israelites were standing at the shores of the Red Sea and Pharaoh’s army was bearing down hard upon them it just didn’t make sense. And so the people panicked, started to complain, and wished they were back in Egypt.

Maybe you are facing a situation today that just doesn’t make any sense at all to trust in God’s promises. The enemy is pursuing you with all his might, and the circumstance in front of you looks grim. And so like the Israelites, you start to grumble, complain and even doubt God’s ability to rescue you.

That’s how it was for the Israelites and that’s how it can be for us when we allow circumstances to dictate our faith in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ.

Moses, the mighty man of God cries out to the people in Exodus 14:13-14,And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” And this is all true and good, but God responds to Moses in a rather surprising way in verses 15-19, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.  But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea. And I indeed will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them. So I will gain honor over Pharaoh and over all his army, his chariots, and his horsemen. Then the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I have gained honor for Myself over Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.”

God wants more than to rescue us, He wants us to strengthen our faith in Him, trust Him, move forward, and not just talk faith, but to actually live faith. He told Moses to put his faith into action, tell the people to move forward and while doing so he was to lift up his rod, stretch out his hand over the sea and divide it for himself!

So often we want God to part the Red Sea that is in front of us that separates us from entering the promised land, the miracle that we so desperately need. We, like Moses cry out and say, “God part the waters for us!” And God is responds, “No, you put your faith in Me into action, and according to your faith it will happen.”  God is waiting on our faith.

How do we do this?

  1. Strengthen our faith in the Word of God until we believe. If we need healing we study healing until we believe it.
  2. We pray in the Holy Spirit until we part that Red Sea that is hindering us from entering into the Promised Land. God’s realm of the supernatural where the miracles are waiting on us to be released.
  3. Speak the promises of God concerning our situation.
  4. Put our faith into action, don’t wait for God to do something, He already has at Calvary. Now, it is up to us to activate the miraculous by our faith in His Plan of Atonement.

If we will take these 4 steps and work them until that spiritual Red Sea opens up for us, then we will be able to walk right on through and into the Promised Land, the miracle we seek.

Blessings Are Conditional

As we read and study God’s word we can see that God’s blessings are conditional. What are the conditions to receive the blessings of God?

But first, let’s come into agreement with what a blessing is. The definition of blessings is “something promoting or contributing to happiness, well-being, or prosperity.” God desires that we walk in His blessings, but the decision is ours. “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers” (3 John 2).

According to Deuteronomy 28:1-2 blessings are conditional. It says, Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.  And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:”

Notice that it says, “…If you diligently obey; this promise of amazing blessing is purely conditional. The Israelites had a choice to make. If they chose to obey, not just obey, but diligently obey–the voice of the Lord their God, then all the blessings listed in verses 1-14 would come upon them. Not only would they come upon them, but the Bible says the blessings would overtake them. This promise of blessing was for the nation as a whole and for the individuals also. God gave them the key to living the blessed life.

In the New Testament we find the condition for the blessings of God to manifest, faith to believe without doubt.

  • And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;  they  will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mk. 16:17-18.
  • For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Mark 11:23.
  • But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. James 1:6.
  • Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. Mark 11:24.
  • Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road. Mark 10:52.
  • He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” John 7:38.
  • And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. John 6:35.
  •  For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16.

All the blessings of God promised in the New Testament have the same condition for us to fulfill, that we have the faith to believe without doubt in our hearts.

Empower for Victory

I was recently in Tanzania, East Africa for a 10 day healing crusade, 2 days (3 sessions per day) to train in local pastors and leaders about healing, and an 8 day healing crusade open to the public. It was power-packed with healing and miracles in full manifestation. (I will start to share testimonies with you in these next few weeks. ) But I want to focus on the message from all the pastors and leaders.

Now, most of us have heard of the great miracles that happen throughout this land, and I have certainly witnessed many during these past 14 years of ministering healing throughout this part of the world.  But on my first trip to this amazing continent, I  wondered with such intense evangelism efforts why are these people still impoverished spiritually? There is a biblical answer to this dilemma.

The Bible teaches us in Romans 10:17, “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”

And according to these 80 pastors and their wives from this last seminar they say that people come with the same  message, “Jesus loves them”. And even though this is truth and we all need to be reminded of this, believers need more.

Hebrews 5:12-13 gives these strong words, “For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child.

People will walk according to the light or revelation that they have been taught. And if all they ever hear is that Jesus loves them they will be comforted and encouraged during difficult times, but they will not know how to overcome the difficulties.

As a healing evangelist, missionary, Bible teacher I believe God wills for us to empower people to live victoriously by faith in all things, including healing. “For you have delivered me from death and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life” (Psalm 56:13).

These pastors shared openly that they thought ministering healing was only for the healing evangelist. But now understand that they as believers can lay hands on the sick and they will recover. And I had them lay hands on the crowds of people at the public crusades to prove it to them.  Mark 16: 15-18, “And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

According to Hosea 4:6, God’s people are destroyed by the lack of knowledge. If we believe God’s words then we should share the truth that we have received so that people can be set free by it, see John 8:32.

And perhaps, you find yourself in the same situation as these pastors are in, not knowing how to live in victory by faith. If so, I want to encourage and empower your faith by the teachings in my blog posts, books, and cd teachings. What I teach you, especially from my books, is what I teach people from all around the globe. I write to empower you to live in victory.

By Faith He Can Swallow Again

There is a Christian man who had suffered from cancerous tumors in his esophagus and could not swallow. After medical treatments for cancer he had a feeding tube put in. A caring friend gave him a copy of my first book, DARE to Believe. He read the book, and after he read chapter 7, “Power from On High”, he received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. He would lay his hands upon his body and pray in tongues every day. Because of his bold faith in Christ’s healing power, the feeding tube had been removed and he could swallow on his own once again. He because he was eating again, he regained his strength and weight again.

Let’s take a moment and follow his faith steps.

  1. After he had received a terrible report of cancer he did not give up. He fought the spirit of death by faith. 1 Timothy 6:12 admonishes us to, “Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”
  2. He fed himself with the healing word of God. Matthew 4:4 tells us, “Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
  3. He filled himself with the power of the Holy Spirit. “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8.
  4. He edified himself to receive healing as he prayed in tongues. “He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.” 1 Corinthians 14:4.
  5. He filled his spirit with the life of God while he prayed in the spirit (tongues). John 7:38-39 says, “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.”

Just like this man did, you too can take bold steps of faith and be healed in Jesus’ name.

Transformed Meetings by His Power

Are you seeing results in your meetings? Are the needs of the people being met? Or do they leave the same as when they entered? He gives us His supernatural gifts  to meet the needs of the people. We do not need to settle for lifeless meetings. But instead with the power of the Holy Spirit our meetings can be a place where lives are truly transformed for His glory.

In 1 Corinthians 12:4-11, there are 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit that He desires to see activated in our meetings and in our daily lives, so that we can minister to the needs of those around us with transforming power. “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit,  to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.

The Holy Spirit had given me an assignment to disciple a group of ladies in a small Latin American town near the Caribbean where we once lived a couple of years ago. While I was setting up for the weekly meeting, a woman whom I did not know burst through the gate and ran into the house because she thought she was late for the meeting, but in reality she was early, actually one hour early.

She had heard testimonies about the Holy Spirit, and wanted to make sure I told her about Him. I sat down with her and taught from the Scriptures about the Spirit of God and His ways. And she received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, and received the infilling of His power that day.

While we were praying in the Spirit together, another lady came to the house. I discerned in my spirit that this woman was sick, and in pain. And she was, she was suffering from a kidney stone. She had a fever; her back, abdominal area and legs were swollen; and she was suffering with great pain. I released the healing power of the Spirit into her, and we both instantly broke out into a sweat as the heat from this power surged into me, and into her. Within minutes she was healed, and even her pants became loose fitting on her as the swelling, along with the fever and the pain left.

After I finished teaching the message for that day, I asked the ladies if anyone needed ministry, and they all did. So, I went around the circle and ministered to the needs of each one. The power of the Holy Spirit broke loose in that place and it ended up being an amazing hour of  power, with the Gifts of the Spirit in full operation.

As I reached my hand out to one woman, she started to scream and fell to the floor. The demonic spirits within her manifested. Within about 30 minutes she was set free from these demonic forces, and while she thrashed on the floor, the woman who sat next to her began to scream as well. This second woman who sat next to her released a piercing scream as well because the demonic spirits that she carried could not handle the pressure of the presence of the Holy Spirit, nor could they remain as the Word of the Lord was declared with authority. This second woman was also delivered at the same time,

After ministering to the needs of the women, I  came to the last person in the circle. It happened to be a young woman who came to the meeting. I did not know this woman, but again by the discerning of the Spirit, I knew this woman was in need of salvation and that her trust was in her good works and not on the redemptive blood of Jesus, This young woman knew that the Lord had spoken to her, she knelt down and gave her life to Jesus at that moment.

This is how the Lord wants to move through us in our meetings. There are no gimmicks, no man-made formulas to memorize; it’s just simply listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit and doing what He instructs us to do.

I can train you to move in the ways of the Holy Spirit, and your meeting can be full of His power, people can leave transformed for the glory of our Lord.

It’s Time to Pray

What do you do when life doesn’t make sense? Where do you turn when the pain is overwhelming? There is an answer to life’s hurt. Get down on your knees and pray to God. There is strength in prayer during turmoil.

God’s instructions are found in 2 Chronicles 7:14, If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.Let’s examine this verse for further insight.

  1. Are you called by God’s name? God loves all people, but that doesn’t automatically make us a member of His family.  Jesus speaks plainly in  John 3:3 when He says, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God How do we become born-again, or members of His family? Romans 10:9-10 tells us how, “If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. If you are not yet a member of God’s family then it is time to confess with your mouth that you believe in your heart that Jesus is risen from the dead.
  2. Let’s talk about humbling ourselves. Proverbs 22:4 tells us, “Humility is the fear of the Lord;
its wages are riches and honor and life.” In order to be humble we must first recognize who He is, and His ultimate supremacy over all. We must willingly take on this attitude from John 3:30, “He must become greater; I must become less.”
  3. God’s people are to pray. In fact, we are to pray without ceasing, (1 Thessalonians 5:17). And we are to be Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.”
  4. We are to seek His face. We are to do as the Scriptures says, “Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near. And as Hebrews 12:2 says, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
  5. Turn from our wickedness. 2 Corinthians 13:5 tells us, “Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you–unless, of course, you fail the test?” After we examine ourselves then we are given these words to live by, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9). And there are promises of spiritual benefits that come from repentance. It says in Acts 3:19, Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.”

And if we will do these things His promise to us is that He will hear our prayer, forgive our sin, and heal our land.  Come on people of God, it’s time to pray.
