Is Jesus Willing to Heal You?

Oftentimes God’s people believe that He is able to heal, but struggle to believe that He wills to heal them. Let’s take a look at this today and unmask this lie of the enemy in this area of our faith for healing.

We read about a man who was leprous in Luke 5:12-16, And it happened when He was in a certain city, that behold, a man who was full of leprosy saw Jesus; and he fell on his face and implored Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then He put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately the leprosy left him. And He charged him to tell no one, “But go and show yourself to the priest, and make an offering for your cleansing, as a testimony to them, just as Moses commanded.” However, the report went around concerning Him all the more; and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by Him of their infirmities. So He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed.”

Even though this man’s request is written as a statement, I believe in his heart it was a question. He was not sure if Jesus was willing to heal him of this wretched disease. And if we understand the times of his day and the disease itself we might have a better understanding of where this man was coming from in his uncertainty.

Back then leprosy was an incurable disease, and it was extremely contagious. A person with this disease was labeled as “unclean”, and was doomed to dye in caves with other lepers. And they would have to shout aloud about themselves to warn a passerbyer that they were unclean. How humiliating and hopeless this must have been for them.

So you see, he really didn’t know if it was Yeshua’s will to heal him, but if He was willing, this man had heard that He was able to make him clean. This leads into controversial issues today as well. And again, there are important truths that we have been missing for years here.

Have I not told you over and over again, that according to Isaiah 53:4-5 that “by His stripes” we are already healed? Yes, I have and it is solid foundational truth that we have already been healed by the redemptive blood of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.

But the time this leper met the Messiah, Jesus had not yet shed His blood for us at Calvary. And during this time Jesus walked the earth in the form of a human being, just like us, except that He operated completely by faith. To show us by His example how we are to walk by faith–like Him. So in the faith realm, was Jesus willing to heal this man of leprosy? Yes, He was.

After this miracle and many other miraculous events Jesus shed His blood at the whipping post to purchase our healing in spirit, soul, and in physical body for us, and He was crowned with the crown of thorns to become King of the curse and to overcome the curse for us, and He also transformed into the curse when He hung upon the Cross. And when He cried out, “It is finished.”, we were totally and completely delivered from satan and all of his wicked works, including sickness and disease. Therefore, we no longer need to ask Jesus if He is willing to heal us, but are to thank Him and rejoice that “by His stripes” we are already healed today.

And if there is to be any request today concerning healing it should be, “Help my unbelief. Teach me how to trust completely in Your healing power, Lord.” And He wills that you believe and receive His miracle working power within your being to activate your healing today.

Redeemed From the Enemy’s Hand

Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy,” Psalm 107:2. According to the word of the Lord we’ve been redeemed from the hand of the enemy. Do we believe it? Or do we still under estimate the power of the Lord within us? At first many will respond with a reassuring response, “No!”. But when difficulties designed by the enemy come our way to steal, to kill, and to destroy us, many of God’s people cave into the attack of the enemy, and often without any form of resistance. This response to satan’s tactics is not right. We are to believe what God says about His redemptive hand upon us. And what does He say about our redemption from our enemy?

“When you go out to battle against your enemies and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt, is with you,” Deuteronomy 20:1-4. Do not to be afraid of the size of the attack or being outnumbered, in this case the number of people rising against you. And I want to encourage you that sometimes the enemy is not people rising against you at all, but it could be a disease, the cell count of HIV or other disease in your body. No matter the number rising against your health and life, don’t be afraid, because God is with you.

“Listen, all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: thus says the LORD to you, ‘Do not fear or be dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God’s,” 2 Chronicles 2:15. Again, don’t be afraid of the size of the multitude rising against you, no matter if the multitude is people or sickness or some other form of attack, remember the battle belongs to the Lord. And according to the Scriptures Jesus won the battle for us at Calvary. “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ,” 1 Corinthians 15:57.

“For by their own sword they did not possess the land, And their own arm did not save them, But Your right hand and Your arm and the light of Your presence, For You favored them,” Psalm 44:3-7. These battles are not won in our own strength, but in His, and in His manifested presence. “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty,” Zachariah 4:6.

Clearly throughout Scripture our God paid the price through His Son, our Redeemer Jesus Christ paid the price for our victory, and now it is up to us to trust in His righteous right hand upon us to uphold and deliver us through these vicious attacks of the enemy in whatever form they attack us.

“Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win,” 1 Corinthians 9:24. If you will run your race according to God’s Word you will live in the victory He provided for us.

But as with any and all promises of God it is a choice to live victoriously. “I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus,” Philippians 3:4.

And the only way to victory against our enemy, satan is by our faith in our Lord, Jesus Christ. “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world–our faith,” 1 John 5:4.

And He has given everything we need to overcome the wicked attacks of the enemy, His authority (See Luke 10:19), His supernatural power, unconditional love, and the mind of Christ (See 2 Timothy 1:7), His resurrection power (see Romans 8:11), the power of faith (see Hebrews 11:1), the supernatural strength in joy (see Nehemiah 8:10b), and life and healing in His Word (Proverbs 4:20-22), and so much more.

Be confident and speak the truth that you are victorious in Christ, and no matter what comes your way you’ll fight the good fight of faith and complete the race as one who knows they are redeemed by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, see Revelation 12:11.

Deliverance From an Orphaned Spirit

Many people are suffering from an orphaned spirit. But what is it? People with an orphaned spirit usually have a lifelong wrestle with feelings of depression, rejection and low self esteem. They find it difficult to believe that they can truly be loved by anyone, including God. They are often manipulative and problematic, and suffer from addictions, and failing relationships, and fear getting close to others because they might be rejected, so they reject the other person first. And they struggle to believe God’s promises are for them, and wrestle to receive them for themselves.

Does this sound familiar? Do you struggle with these very same problems as described above? If so, you are not alone. Many of God’s people have come from painful backgrounds, and don’t understand what’s wrong in life. Oftentimes, the reason for their suffering is that they are living with an orphaned spirit.

You do not have to be physically orphaned to suffer from an orphaned spirit. Perhaps, you never knew your earthly father, because either he was non existent within the family unit, or maybe he was there physically, but not there emotionally. Perhaps, your mother or father or both abandoned the family. Maybe they were very abusive to you or non caring. Regardless of the situation, the pain was and is very real and controls your daily life and hinders your ability to be happy again.

I was recently ministering in a Church, and from the moment I walked in I could sense an orphaned spirit. As I was sharing our son’s amazing testimony about how we raised him from the dead, and by faith, believed and received a new heart, lungs, kidneys and a new brain for him from the goodness of our God, the Lord gave me this underlying message in the midst of this very powerful testimony about being set free from an orphaned spirit. Our son, was orphaned from the time of conception inside of his birth mother’s womb. She truly did not want him, and tried to end his life via abortion attempts, but could not succeed. We received him when he was just one day old, we gave him a name, loved and cared for him, and fought to adopt him, and after many years his adoption was complete. Our son is no longer orphaned, nor does he have an orphaned spirit.

When I gave the altar call almost half, if not more of the congregation came forward. It was an amazing moment to witness so many of God’s people take the initial steps to freedom from an orphaned spirit.

And for those of you that have suffered a difficult past, and have struggled for many years because of it there is hope and freedom from an orphaned spirit. His name is Jesus. And He gave all He had for you because He loves you and wants you. And fought the enemy, satan, to purchase you with His blood, and adopt you into His family.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.  For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”  The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,  and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. Romans 8: 14-17.

Like I have said to many of the children in our children’s home over the years, “You can’t go back into the past and change what has happened, but you can overcome the bondage of the stronghold it has over you. Its like an old worn out shoe that you need to remove and throw it away in the trash, and not pick it out of the garbage and wear again. Throw it away, and now walk in the authority that Jesus gave to you to overcome all hurts, past and present.”

Let’s pray.

Father God,

I come before You with this great hurt from my past, and I give it to You. I choose to walk away from it, and never turn back to it. The truth of my past hurts, and I call upon Your healing balm of Gilead to heal these emotional wounds. And I know I need to do one more thing– forgive. And so by faith, not by feelings, I forgive the person or persons that have so wounded me. And I forgive them because Your Word tells me to do so. In obedience to You, I forgive and I not only forgive, but I release (name of person or persons) from my bitterness and from my revenge. And because I forgive and release (name of person or persons) from my bitterness and revenge, I am now forgiven of my own sins and free from the bondage of the past. Thank You, Father God, for accepting me into Your family.

In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

Take Down the Stronghold of Unbelief

It’s a decision, and a quality one to take down the stronghold of unbelief, and a Christian family did just that. They came to a recent healing seminar in Folsom, California and each family member had a physical disease or ailment, and they decided that enough was enough. No longer were they going to suffer at the hands of satan and his wicked works of sickness and disease. They were coming to be trained in the Word and receive their miracles from the Lord.

The 80-90 year old grandmother was told if she did not have immediate surgery she would die from kidney failure. And there were no guarantees with this surgery. This woman said no to surgery and told her daughter she would come to a healing seminar I was ministering at and receive her healing from God. She came and received. Her 90+ year old husband was not born-again and had severe back and hip pain. There was probably about a 3 inch difference between one hip and another, his spine was hunched over, and he was frail and weak from the pain. He told his daughter that brought them, if he was healed he would receive the Lord. Well, he came forward and received instant healing and kept true to his promise and he asked Jesus to forgive him of his sins and become his Savior. The daughter’s husband was being attacked with diabetes and after the healing word he came forward to receive a healing touch from God. The daughter of the elderly couple and wife of the man was fighting breast cancer and said to the devil, “No more!” And their teenage son was dealing with great depression and was set free and declared Jesus as his Savior too.

It took a lot for this family to come to the meetings and to admit that it was time to deal with a stronghold of doubt and unbelief and sickness and disease in every area of life, but they humbled themselves and are no longer bound to the suffering of doubt and unbelief, but have each received a healing touch from the Almighty God. Some healings and miracles in their family were immediate and evident to the natural eye, and reaped spiritual fruit as well. And the others know that they know they are healed and now have the tools they need to  harvest the manifestation of their physical healings.

It’s time to take down the stronghold of doubt and unbelief concerning your supernatural healing. No longer allow yourself to be controlled by the unbelief of others around you. You stand on the Word of God and believe in Him and in His healing power only. But how do we do this? How do we overcome a strongman of unbelief and doubt in our lives? Here are steps to take in Jesus’ name.

  1. Acknowledge that you are in doubt and unbelief to God’s healing promises. The Bible is clear that the truth sets us free. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Jn. 8:32.
  2. Then ask for God’s forgiveness. He is faithful and just to forgive us of all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 promises us that, If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
  3. Then take the 3rd step and turn completely from it. 2 Chronicles 7:14 tells us, “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. We must accept the fact that doubt and unbelief about God’s healing promise is sinful behavior.
  4. Build up your faith in the most holy faith. Jude 1:20-21 lovingly instructs us this way, But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. All too often God’s people wait for Him to do everything for us, but His Word is clearly telling us that we are to do this for ourselves, build up our own faith. Why is this so important? Because according to the words of Jesus, it is our own faith that heals and makes us whole. For example He says to the woman with an issue of blood for 12 years now in Luke 8:48,And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.” Again we see in Luke 17:17-19,So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”

Here’s how to build up your faith for healing:

  • Stay in the healing word. Romans 10:17 tells us that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. And faith for healing comes by remaining in the healing scriptures.
  • Call forth healing. Romans 4:17 we are to call things that are not as though they already were. Instead of saying I am waiting for my healing to manifest, you are to confess by faith in the redemptive blood of Jesus to heal, that you are already healed.
  • Speak life, health and healing. Proverbs 18:21 tells us that we have the power of life and death in our tongue. If you need healing you do not speak about the sickness or the disease or its symptoms, you speak life, health and healing only. If you will speak this way, your healing will manifest. If you are not consistent with your words then the manifestation of your healing will not be either.
  • Act out your healing. James 2:26 clearly states that, For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. Again, like your words, your actions must declare healing. If you are not consistently acting upon faith with your healing, it will not manifest as you desire.

Feel Discouraged–a Word of the Lord

The Spirit of God says to you this day, “You feel discouraged. Your plans have not worked out for you. You wonder where I am. Why have I not responded to you? You are filled with many questions and even more doubt than before. Here is what I would say to you concerning these matters.

Number one, when you come to Me, come to Me in faith. Faith believing that I do listen and I do care. If you would learn to seek My face at all times you would learn to recognize my voice, and know that I am speaking to you. More times than not, you choose not to listen to that still small voice wooing you to repentance. Repentance from unbelief and doubt.

Another reason your plans have not worked out for you, is just that–they are your plans, not Mine for you. You have not taken the time to consider what My plan for you is. Some of you, don’t want to know My plan for you. But if you would trust Me, you would come to the realization that I have designed you for a specific purpose and with that purpose is a specific plan. And to accomplish the plan and to fulfill the purpose you need to consult Me for direction. My plan is not to harm you, but to prosper you. Get the master plan from the Master.

I have promised you that I will never leave you , nor forsake you. My word is firm, it is truth, and I have not left you, you have wandered after the lusts of your own flesh. Flesh and spirit do not mix. Flesh is carnal, it’s temporal, but the spirit is eternal. Seek the eternal plan and the earthly plan will fall into its place.

Learn to seek Me with all your heart, might and soul. Lean not onto your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Me, and I will direct your paths. I will lead you down the eternal paths of righteousness. And this righteousness of My Son, will lead you to the way of the everlasting life.

Be like the deer who pants for the water, and when he reaches the shores of the Living Waters he drinks freely until he is full and overflowing. Allow your heart to pant for My heart, allow it to beat to the rhythm of everlasting life that is found only in Me. Do not seek the temporal things of this World, but be satisfied only with Me and My ways.

Don’t crowd Me out of your heart with these earthly ways. Clear your schedules, and make room for Me. I am the only one that can satisfy you with the goodness of life. The life that I have prepared solely for you with Me.

If you will seek Me with all your heart and in all your ways, you will find Me. And in Me, and only in Me will you discover greatness, not your’s, but Mine. For greater am I in you, than satan who is in this world. It is from of this greatness within you that you will be satisfied with the plans and purposes I have created for you to fulfill.

Some of you are walking completely in the opposite direction than I had planned. And you are unfulfilled and unhappy. Others have veered off just a little, but eventually even veering off the straight and narrow pathway I have designed for you leads you farther and farther away from Me, farther away from the plan and purpose I have for you. And unhappiness gains a foothold in your life.

Turn back to Me My wayward child. And this time, allow Me to lead you and guide you into all truth, into a land of milk and honey, the promised land I have designed especially for you. Turn back, before it’s too late.

Remember, I love you with an everlasting love. My love for you is unconditional. This does not mean you can do whatever you please, but that I love you.

Love your Heavenly Father, your Heavenly Dad.”

Rescued From the Darkness

This is a word of encouragement from your Lord, Jesus Christ.

I have rescued you from the powers of darkness, that evil place where the devil is and I am not, that place of utter hopelessness, and being caught in the penalty of sin.

You were lost, but I found you. My light shined down into the depth of your brazen heart, and erased every trace of shame.

All for you I gave. I held nothing back.

My light transferred you from the enemy’s dominion and into My Kingdom where the darkness cannot remain. All is exposed, and there’s nothing to hide from, all is seen and filled with innocence and goodness.

My yoke is easy, and My burden is light. No longer  do you need to suffer lack, in Me you will find everything you need. Sickness does not exist in Me, only health, strength, and healing. And these I purchased for you with My own blood. Allow the power of My blood to flow in you like a mighty rushing flood and wash away with it all pain and suffering.

In Me you will find complete liberty. The enemy will flee, he cannot be in the light, he is a creature of darkness, filled with lies and deceit. But I walk in the light, because I am the way, the truth, and the life. If you will follow Me I will lead you into My kingdom ways.

When you accept the light of My glory  you bind yourself to the supernatural blessing of My kingdom, but if you reject this truth you bind yourself to the curse. I rescued you from the dominion of darkness and the powers there be, it is now up to you to walk free.

Will Someone Pray for Me?

I was standing waist deep in the Jordan River baptizing the ladies who came with me on the recent trip to Israel, when all of a sudden I heard a woman cry out as loud as she could, “Will someone pray for me?” I turned around and walked over to her and she said to me, “I have stage 4 cancer.” I responded, “And I am a healing evangelist.” The woman began to weep, she knew the Lord heard her cries.

In Jesus’ name, I renounced the spirit of death, cancer, tumors, pain, weakness, and fear, and released the Spirit of Life to flow throughout her entire body, and in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit she was baptized in the Jordan River.

Her son who brought her to the Jordan River that day thanked me for ministering to his mother.

This is a beautiful testimony that demonstrates God’s faithfulness, mercy, and compassion towards His people. It also shows us how God wills to work out the intricate details to bring the answer to our faith-filled prayers. The hand of God was definitely involved in this divine encounter.

But it pains my spirit to know that people are so desperate for a healing touch that they will travel long distances, cry out to a crowd of complete strangers if someone would please pray for them. And yet, I see this time and time again. People have to search high and low for someone that has the faith to believe and pray with them for healing.

Let’s be bold, and make ourselves readily available to join our faith with others in need, and minister hope and healing to them in the name of Jesus.

The Intimidation of the Enemy

In 1 Samuel 17: 1-44 we read about the time of war between the Israelites and the Philistines. Both armies are standing on opposite hills ready to engage in battle. Every day the Philistine army sends out their champion warrior, Goliath. Everyday this prized champion sends forth a challenge to the Israeli army that echoes across the valley;

“Choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me. If he be able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants: but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye be our servants, and serve us.”1 Samuel 17:8b-9

Goliath the “Mean-Fighting-Machine” is known and feared for his size and strength. He is the champion. The one everyone dreams of defeating, but dares not step into the ring with. Who will become his next victim?

The day of the Super-Heavyweight Final has arrived, and the stakes are high. Will the Israelites become enslaved to the Philistines? Who will accept Goliath’s challenge?

The champ is fully decked out with his state-of-the-art armor and weapons. His very presence intimidates everyone. In fact, as they take one look at Goliath they all run and hide. He wants to fight one-on-one. He has complete confidence in his size and skill and knows he will conquer whoever steps forward. He is ready and waits for a striking battle. Who will fight Goliath?

He becomes angry when he sees who the Israelites send out to fight him. Before him stands a young shepherd boy. He walks the fields with the lambs and the sheep. What does he know about fighting? Now, this is the size mismatch of all time. He can just see the headlines now; “Champion Giant Slaughters Shepherd Boy”. What a disappointing fight this will be for his spectators and utterly unfair for the young boy. He lets out a disgusted howl towards David, “Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves?”  (See 1 Samuel 17:43).

But never-the-less he will fight. He tries to intimidate the young boy with his trash-talk and threatens away, “Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field.” (See 1 Samuel 17:44).

Perhaps, you are in a raging battle with Goliath. Learn from David’s example of fearlessness and overcome satan’s trash talk and intimidation.

Faith Creates

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1:1

Scripture Reading: Psalm 33:6-9

Faith is creative. Like an artist with a paintbrush in hand, it skillfully uses the power of the spoken word, to paint a masterpiece. Except the canvas that it creates upon is real and alive and it has no boundaries. And the base of its paint is the redemptive blood of Jesus Christ.

Elohim, (the Father, the Son, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit), creates the world by the power of the spoken word. God says, “Let there be…” and there was, (see Genesis 1). And He gives to us this same ability to create with our words. We are to call things that are not as though they already were, see Romans 4:17.

A man stands before me during a healing service, as tears run down his face he explains to me what he has. He’s an artist and he sculpts beautiful statues for a living. But he is now completely blind in one eye and is losing his sight in the other. He simply can no longer create without his eyesight.

I look at the man and say, “The Lord gives you your artistic talent, and His will is that you create for His glory.” I reach out and touch his eyes and speak words of life over them and immediately he can see.

Faith uses the power of the spoken word to create, and in this case it creates sight for the blind, and hope for the hopeless.

Dear Holy Spirit,

Teach me how to use the power of my words to create for Your glory.

In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

Do What God Says, Believe

So often, our Lord tells people if they believe a certain thing will happen. But then why do people get upset when they are told they need to believe?

The Old Testament prophet Elisha told Naaman to go and dip seven times in the Jordan River so that he would be healed of leprosy. At first Naaman was furious, but then he did as he was told, and he came up healed of a non curable disease after he obeyed and did what he was told to do. (See 2 Kings 5:1-14).

What is the main requirement for us to be healed? We are told we are to believe. And this request makes many Christians mad. This too, like Naaman is a pride issue. How dare anyone suggest that we might not believe as we ought to. Well, this is the main issue that prevents healing from coming forth, a lack of faith to believe for it.

Let’s get this point straight, just because we believe Jesus is our Savior doesn’t automatically mean we believe Him for healing. Just like we need to be fully convinced that we need a Savior who can forgive us of our sins, we also need to be completely convinced that Jesus is our healer and He is able and wills to heal us too.

Over and over again as we read God’s Word we see the same theme of faith rise up in every situation. Romans 10:9-10 says, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.” Mark 16:16-18 tells us, “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;  they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Matthew 21:22 declares, If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask in prayer.” Luke 8:48, Jesus says to the woman with the issue of blood, And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”  Luke 17:19, Jesus says to the one of the ten lepers that came back to thank Him for his healing, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.” Again and again, we read it is our faith, our belief that brings forth the miraculous.

So, let us not be offended when the Spirit of the Lord tells us that we need to have faith, or believe again.
