Learning about Faith from others

We are learning about faith from others every day. If we will humble ourselves we will learn new things every day. When it comes to learning I purpose in my heart to learn something new about faith every day. One way to learn about faith is by observing it in the lives of others around us. And I literally confess this with the words of my own mouth. And as someone shares something I’ve not known, or not thought about it in that way before I confess aloud, “This is my new thing I’ve learned today.”

I am a strong advocate for the prophetic and healing power of our words. And I purposefully work this truth into my daily life. Look to those around you, and readily learn from them, both young and old, and everyone else in between. And begin to prophesy the life lessons about the faith truths they learned into your life situations.

I learn from the experience of my elders. I grew up as the baby of the family. So I naturally was surrounded by people that were older than myself. And I was raised in a rural community, and my extended family were my neighbors—practically everyone around me was a relative. I grew up listening and learning from their life experiences, both good and bad. And I witnessed how their faith in God carried them through to the victory or how their lack of faith in Jesus brought them to destruction.

But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine: that the older men be sober, reverent, temperate, sound in faith, in love, in patience; the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things— that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed. Titus 2: 1-5.

From the young children I discover powerful truths about what faith actually is—trust. Trusting in another’s faithfulness. Believing without question that they have our best interest at heart. And it’s this practical life example how we are to live out our faith in Christ—complete trust, not doubting His faithfulness, or that He has our best interest at heart.

But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14.

And I observe and learn about what great faith is from the daily struggles and triumphs of others around me.

Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12.

Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, Titus 2:7.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16.

The more I learn about faith, the more I clearly see how much more there is to learn. But if we will determine within our own hearts to learn something new every day about faith, our faith will continue to grow. And in return for our learning about faith our faith in God will be observed by others to learn how to walk in daily victory by our faith in our Lord and Savior—Jesus Christ.

Next time, we will discuss growing our faith by studying God’s Word.

Prophetic Word: I Would Do It Again For You

Once was enough, but if I had to I would willingly choose to do it again just for you.

Most do not begin to understand the love that I have for each one of you.

My love is not based upon feelings, but upon the foundation of love–Me.

All the suffering I endured was for your good.

You are the beneficiary of My goodness. And all My benefits I give to you.

These benefits are not temporal, but they are eternal.

My Word is forever, My promise is sure, and My will is sealed with My blood.

Access the power of My blood.

I tell you the truth, your redemption cost Me everything.

But I would willingly do it again, because that’s how valuable you are to Me.

The highest price had to be paid to redeem you back to Me.

Nothing less then the best would do.

There was no bartering–it was all or nothing.

And I chose all for you.

I gave all that I had–Myself for you.

Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.

I tell you there is no greater love than this. And I lay down my life, not for one, but for all.

And I would willingly do it again even if it were just for you.

This is how much I love you.

With every drop of crimson red that I sweat in great anguish while I knelt in the Garden of Gethsemane, I willingly overcame because I thought of you and your victory.

I did not protest as they ripped out My beard and tore apart My face, I bled, and My grace erased your shame.

As I willingly knelt at the whipping post I endured the greatest of all suffering, and with the power of My blood I purchased your healing. Receive it–it belongs to you.

You are cursed no more, because I bore the piercing of that tremendous crown of thorns. And the power of My blood released you from the punishment of the curse–be free from it.

As those nails were forcefully pounded through My hands, a great blessing poured through My blood for you. Live in the complete blessing–I freely give it to you.

With the crushing blow of that great nail through My feet to that old wooden Cross, I bequeath to you, through the mighty power of My blood all My authority over satan and all of his wicked works–now walk in it.

As they pierced My side and the remaining blood and water flowed from Me, I gave to you My plan of Redemption and the opportunity to become Born-Again.

I give all of this to you, not out of obligation, but because I love you.

And I would willingly do it again–just for you.

Thus saith the Lord, Your God, to you this day.

How to Be Free from Condemnation

Are you fighting to be free from condemnation? If you are, you are not alone. A reader writes because she struggles with condemnation of past sins and reoccuring temptations in her mind about these past sins. She’s not unique in this situation. This is exactly how the enemy attacks God’s people with condemnation. He constantly is interjecting lies into our minds that God holds past sins against us, that He strongly disapproves of us, that there is no hope for us to overcome, or to be healed. His barrage of castigation against us in never ending. So what do we do about it?

Ask Him to forgive you for this sin, accept His forgiveness and move on with life. 1 John 1:9, promises us, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” When we confess our sins to God, He is faithful to forgive us of the sin, and no longer holds it against us.

What do you do when he torments you with memories of past sin? Anytime the enemy tries to condemn you with reminders of this sin, rebuke him in the name of Jesus. Say aloud, “I rebuke you in the name of Jesus! Get out of here! I am forgiven by the blood of Jesus.”

Also, you need to transform your thought life by reading the Bible daily. Start in the Book of Proverbs, read 1 chapter a day. If it’s January 1st, then you read Proverbs chapter 1. If it is January 25th, then you read Proverbs 25, and so on and so forth. The more you are in God’s Word, the less available room there is for satan to crowd your mind with his condemning thoughts.

We would all be stronger in the faith against satan’s weapon of condemnation if we would get back into reading the Bible again on a daily basis.

  • For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart, Hebrews 4:12.
  • All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work, 2 Timothy 3:16-17.
  • How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word, Psalm 119:9.
  • Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls, James 1:21.
  • Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You, Psalm 119:11.

Seizures Healed!

December 26, 2018 Victor writes requesting prayer for his little girl who has been suffering with epileptic seizures for 7 months. He writes, “Dear Becky, please pray for my daughter (3 years plus) who has been suffering epileptic seizure disorder for about 7 months now. I believe in the Spiritual Authority & God’s Grace for Healing upon you Ma & I am confident that my daughter will be completely healed when you pray for her. Thanks Ma.”

I respond with a prophetic prayer of faith for her deliverance and healing. “In the name of Jesus’ I renounce this spirit of death, epilepsy and seizures attacking your daughter. I release the healing power of Jesus to flow in and throughout her brain. I command all pathways that have been dug out in her brain for seizures to follow to be supernaturally erased for the glory of God and no new pathways for seizures may be redug for the glory of God. No more seizures because there is no more epilepsy for the glory of Jesus, amen and amen.”

January 2, 2019 Victor writes to testify of his daughter’s glorious healing. He shares, “Dear Becky, the Almighty God is indeed still in the business of doing the impossible and the miraculous. I can confirm to you that the seizures have all stopped; this is so breathtakingly miraculous. My family & I are completely dazed & awed at the Power of God at work. It just happened just like that. My daughter has regained her perfect state of health. The most astonishing fact is that she got completely healed before we crossed into the New Year. Now, we are confident that she can resume school with her peers after the holidays. Oh, Jesus Christ is indeed the same yesterday, today and forever. We stand amazed at the Power of the Almighty God. To Him be all the Glory, honor and adoration forever and ever. I celebrate the Grace of God upon your life Ma. May God bless and take your ministry to yet more glorious and greater dimensions far beyond your greatest imaginations and expectations. AMEN.”

This is what happens when we put our trust in the redemptive work of Jesus, and use the power of the spoken word and prophesy healing in His name.

Miracles for Christmas

Are you in need of a miracle? There’s no better time than Christmas to receive your miraculous gift from God. The events that surround the birth of our Savior are so miraculous in every way imaginable–and then some. No matter the need you are facing you can find hope for your miracle in the historical events of Jesus’ birth.

Let’s look at some of these events and see how they can impact our lives today.

Are you struggling with an impossible situation? Many people are today. We read about two very important characters in the Christmas story who were a childless couple, Elizabeth and her husband and priest, Zachariah. And despite Elizabeth’s barrenness and the fact that they were both advanced in age, they conceived a promised child–John. Who we come to know as John the Baptist. Because as it says in Luke 1:37, “For nothing will be impossible with God”. See Luke 1:13-57. Regardless of the impossible situation you are facing, whether it be infertility or another situation; always remember with God all things, not some things, but all things are possible “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes,” Mark 9:23.

Are you in need of divine favor? Mary received favor, supernatural favor from God in that she was chosen, the chosen vessel to birth the Christ child into this world. Luke 1:28 her favor is announced, “Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you.” Did you realize that you too have God’s favor resting upon you. It says in Psalm 5:12 concerning God’s favor,For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield.

Could you use some real reassurance concerning your calling? Mary continues to receive this reassurance about all that she has heard the Lord say to her, let’s see the first confirmation recorded after this angelic visitation from Gabriel. In Luke 1:41-45 it says, “When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. And she cried out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! “And how has it happened to me, that the mother of my Lord would come to me? “For behold, when the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby leaped in my womb for joy. “And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what had been spoken to her by the Lord.”  Romans 8:31 gives a great message of reassurance for today, What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Are you in need of a message directly from Heaven? People all around the world are receiving angelic visitations with messages from heaven  just like the people we read about in the Christmas story. The shepherds were visited by one angel with an evangelistic message, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” And then appeared host of angels praising God and saying “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with who He is pleased.” And Hebrews 1:14 teaches us concerning angels, Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?

Perhaps you need supernatural direction, the wise men were given the Star of Bethlehem to lead them on a spiritual journey that led them to Jesus. Matthew 2:1-2, “After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.” Do you know that you have been given a spiritual compass that is full of supernatural wisdom to give you direction for your daily living? It’s called the Word of God. Psalm 119:105 tells us about the teachings of the Bible, Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.Hebrews 4:12 tells us,For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says concerning the Word of God, All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

If you will learn to listen and heed the voice of God, He will protect your from the evil plans of the enemy today. We read in Matthew 2:13 how an angel appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Get up! Take the Child and His mother and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you; for Herod is going to search for the Child to destroy Him.” And for us today in 2 Thessalonians 3:3 is a promise of protection,But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.”

We can even find the Father’s supernatural provision for our families in the Christmas story in the example of the gifts of Magi as they present their gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. See Matthew 2: 11. God knows what we have need of and His word tells us in Matthew 6:33, But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Whatever the need or concern in your life is there is a miracle this Christmas for you from Jesus. Reach out to Him, believe and then receive from Him.

Victory You Will Not Lack

The Spirit of the Lord would say to you this day,

“Do not worry, do not fret, and certainly do not forget,

My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.

I bore your pain and suffering upon My back,

So victory while on this earth you would not lack.

That old devil will try to bind you with his spirit of fear,

But I say, “Trust Me, for I am ever near.”

Do not play the enemy’s game,

His fame is to laden you with guilt and shame.

And his tactics remain the same, and his aim is to lame.

While My aim is to release you from his wicked game of shame and blame.

I shed My blood to set you free,

So you could be all I created you to be–blessed and highly favored.

And in this promise I will not waiver.

So set your sights upon My grace,

And as you gaze upon My face, know that I am with you to complete your race.

Beloved, I love you with a love from up above.

Soon the trumpet will blow,

And it will be quite the show.

My people from all ends of the earth will meet together around the throne.

That throne of grace, my what a mighty place, filled with a heavenly race, engulfed with the presence of the Almighty.

Be dressed and ready, and remain faithful and steady.

But while on this earth, and in eternity to come–victory you will not lack.

I’ve got you covered, I bore it all upon My back.”

You Will to Heal Me

How many times have I heard that it is not always God’s will to heal people. Or that He chooses to heal some, but not all. Comments like these  are like fingernails scratching on a chalkboard.  They cause my spirit to cringe within me, and they should cause your’s to cringe as well. Let’s turn to the Scriptures to discover the truth about God’s will to heal you and me.

Jesus had to deal with this issue as well, one such time is recorded in the Book of Luke in chapter 5, verses 12-13. It says, And it happened when He was in a certain city, that behold, a man who was full of leprosy saw Jesus; and he fell on his face and implored Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then He put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately the leprosy left him.”

Let’s study these verses out a bit more to see the depth of the desire He has to heal us. The leprous man calls out, “If You are willing, …”. This word willing in Greek is thelō from the Strong’s Concordance, G2309, and it means to will, to have in mind, to intend, to be resolved, to be determined, to purpose, to desire, to wish, to love, or to like to do a thing. This man is inquiring Jesus, “Do You desire to heal me? Is it Your purpose or intent to heal me? Would You love to heal me?” Perhaps, you desire to understand the intent of Jesus concerning healing. And you, like this man want to know, “Is it His will to heal you?”

Shall we continue on to find out what is His will in this matter? Not only does this man want to know if Jesus is willing, but he wants to know if He can heal him. The word can in Greek is dynamai, Strong’s G1410, and it means able, powerful and strong.  He wants to put an end to his doubt and find out if Jesus possesses the ability to heal because in the natural his situation is labeled impossible, and carries the power of death and suffering. This man’s life depends upon a miracle, and is Jesus the One that is strong and powerful and able and willing to give him this much needed miracle? You may be wondering the same, “Is His strength and power greater than the disease attacking your body? And does He really possess the ability to make your body whole again?”

This man was seeking Jesus for deep truths about His credentials, “Can He make …?” This word make in Greek is katharizō means to cleanse,to purge, and to purify, Strong’s G2511. This man is plagued with a curse of death and needs to be purged from it. To purge yourself from something is to be freed from something unwanted. This man needed to be completely free from leprosy, no residue of it could remain in his body if he were to be totally free and cleansed from it. Are you in this man’s situation? Your body needs to be purged from the sickness or the disease, not a trace of it can remain.

In response to this man’s plea for a miracle, Jesus does the unthinkable, what others are afraid to do, He reaches out and touches the man. Let’s ponder upon the faith principles that are being activated at this point in time. Jesus is demonstrating to us how we are to be by His example on this earth in the form of a human being. He was operating in the principles of faith, and faith operates by love, and love alone, and there is no fear in faith.

  • For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love, Galatians 5:6.
  • There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love, 1 John 4:18.

And Jesus answers the man suffering with leprosy and says to him, “I am willing.” Meaning, “I desire to heal you. I would love to heal you. My intention is to heal, and not to harm you.” And this is what He is saying to you as well.

Trust Me –Word of the Lord

The Spirit of the Lord would say to you,

“If you will trust Me, then you will see the mighty hand of the Father upon you.

I will not hide from you, but be found by you at the whisper of My name.

You do not need to bow your head in shame, but trust in the glorious power of My name.

I see you when no one else does. I hear you when no one else listens.

Come, My arms are wide open to you, and I will hold onto you tight until you feel all is right.

My Spirit is beckoning you to come to Me all who are laden with heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.

I never meant for you to carry these in your own strength, but in the power of My might.

I ask you to fight the good fight of faith, fully armed with the armor of My Spirit.

It is He who will bring comfort to your weary soul, and lavish upon you the unfailing love that I have for you.

I love you, I do for you what no one else could ever do.

I ask you to build yourself up in the most holy faith, and to complete your race.

My Spirit will lead and guide you every step of the way.

I ask you to remain on the straight and narrow path that leads to me, and to refrain from straying onto the wide pathway that leads to destruction.

This is all for your protection in these last and final days.

I ask you to pray in the Spirit, which will build you up when you feel down.

I ask you to love and forgive one another, just as I have loved and forgiven you freely.

I ask you to trust me and in My faithfulness to you.”

Run Your Race to Win –to Heal

The winner of the race is not sitting down on the sidelines, they are not hidden from view, they are not asleep, they are not complaining because the race is so difficult, but they’re actively running. And the people watching know they are running. They are the leader of the pack. And they are being highlighted to show others how to run their race successfully, how to run through and past that finish line to victory.

Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified. 1 Corinthians 9:24-27.

What is the victory that you are needing? For many of you it is physical healing. Then you need to learn how to activate your faith and run your race all the way through the finish line—the manifestation of that healing and beyond.

You need to stay focused on the goal, and not be sidetracked from the voices of the doubters sitting on the sidelines encouraging you to fail. Yes, in the Christian world there are those that have aligned themselves with the team of doubting Thomas. Don’t listen to them.

You ran well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth?  This persuasion does not come from Him who calls you. A little leaven leavens the whole lump. I have confidence in you, in the Lord, that you will have no other mind; but he who troubles you shall bear his judgment, whoever he is. Galatians 5:7-10.

There are also other evil spectators, demons, and they come in the form of lying spirits whispering lies of doubt, unbelief and failure. They will even dress themselves as angels of light and disguise their voices and tell you they are a messenger sent by God and declare evil lies such as, “God sent me to tell you, He is not going to heal you. Instead He is going to take you home now.” This is a lie, to stop you from completing your race, because you have all these spectators watching you to find out if what you’ve been saying, “According to Isaiah 53:5, I am already healed in the name of Jesus.” Why the lies? To destroy your witness, and those that have been supporting you, and many others too.

Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
Isaiah 53:4-5.

You be faithful and complete your race. And your race is not finished until the manifestation takes place, and then there is a time of rejoicing. But it doesn’t end there, you need to run past that finish line and start to testify of God’s glorious manifestation in your life and lead others to His glory as well.

Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain. Philippians 2:14-16.

So the next time you start to feel discouraged in your race, stir up that gift of faith within you and remind yourself that this race is not just all about you, but you have many spectators—good and bad that need your witness of a faithful God that loves them and not only is able to heal, but desires them to receive their healing by faith.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7.
