Scripture Helps

Remember, God is Not the Mountain

It’s important to know and remember that God is not the mountain standing in your way, satan is. Therefore, while speaking to this mountain, and not about the mountain, you do not beg God for your answer. He completed His work at Calvary, and now it is your turn to work His work. If you will prophesy accurately to this mountain, it will move and be cast into the sea. Learn to prophesy healing with accuracy, hit the mark, and cause that mountain to crumble from the inside to the outside–and watch it fall down.

This is not a correct healing confession: “Even though I have symptoms in my body, they can do no permanent damage to my body because I was healed at the Cross”? As long as we confess with our mouths that we have symptoms, by the power of these words we will continue to have them. And if we say that these symptoms can have no permanent damage, we constrain them from producing permanent damage, but still allow them to do some level of damage with these types of confessions. And obviously we want to rid ourselves from symptoms all together so it would be better to select faith statements full of authority and bring all forms of symptoms under submission to the Word of God.

In other words, do not give the symptom room to remain in your body and cause suffering. It’s better to speak out, “I take the authority given me by the atoning blood of Christ and I declare that I am free and healed from all symptoms, sickness, and disease that try to attack my body. In the mighty name of Jesus, amen.”

Breast Cancer & Liver Growth Healed

Is breast cancer or cancerous growths on the liver too difficult for God to heal? Paulette does not think so, and neither do I. Jesus and His healing power are the same yesterday, today and forever. He never changes, nor has He ever removed His healing promise from the plan of redemption. Read this amazing healing testimony that just happened.

Paulette writes and requests a prayer of faith for healing from cancer.

When I opened the book your business card was on page 25 on the subtitle, “Offer Hope for Healing.” A few days ago my doctor diagnosed me with stage 4 breast cancer and he found a small metastasis on top of my liver. But in Jesus’ name, I am healed. On Friday, March 1st at 6:30am the doctor would like to do biopsy on my liver and I need a complete healing in my body from cancer. Can you agree with me in prayer for a complete healing?”

Subject: Re: Prayer agreement liver biopsy

Paula,
In the name of Jesus’ I renounce the spirit of death, breast cancer, and this growth on the liver. I curse it at its seed and command it to dry up at the roots and be totally gone never to return to your body in any way again. I release the healing power of Jesus to flow into your body and declare it healed, made whole, and cancer free and cancer proof in the mighty name of Jehovah Rapha–our Healer!!

Hugs,

Becky :O)

Just 5 days later I receive this beautiful praise report from Paula on 2019-03-04 13:31:

Hi Becky,
I would like to thank you for agreeing with me in prayer. I would like to share with you this testimony that during liver biopsy that morning I said your prayer you sent me, and completed the daily devotion, and prayed with the healing creed.

Jesus healed me! I went into the ultrasound room with Dr.Betty, she was pushing down on my rib cage and back so hard. Then she called Dr.Troy to come and examine me. Dr. Troy said that he could not find any mass on my liver dome, and they sent me back into another room until he called Dr. Han the oncologist to see if he wanted to go down my throat to check my liver.  Again, I told the nurses and doctors , “Jesus healed me.”

So, Dr. Troy returned to my room, (my husband was present) and said He was unable to find anything, and I can get dressed and go home. Dr. Troy was puzzled and appeared to feel uncomfortable as I continued to say “Jesus healed me!!”

Dr. Troy, then told me to follow up with Oncologist, Dr. Han. I kept saying, “Jesus healed me!” I am feeling great and even my left breast that had the dark area is not dark anymore. My color of skin is bright and clear. I keep looking at it. God is amazing. I cannot stop sharing the goodness of God’s healing power.

Dr. Han the oncologist met with my husband and I later that day. She is concern with my blood work it appeared to show some bleeding or bruise going inside my body. I said, “I rebuke that I am healed in Jesus’ name.” Dr. Han said that until May 13, 2019 she would like to put me on medication and re-take the CAT SCAN over. I told the staff again,  “Jesus healed me.”

Just by looking at the doctors’ facial expression it amazes them when Jesus shows that He is the “Great Physician”.

As I am learning about healing and I know that Jesus heals. Should I continue to pray the Healing Creed confession, and medicating on the healing scriptures?

Keeping Hope & Faith alive.

Paulette

The answer to Paulette’s question about should she continue to pray the Healing Creed confession and medicating on the healing Scriptures. The answers is, “Absolutely yes!” Don’t stop prophesying God’s healing power over your body.

A Declaration For Protection

Do you feel unsafe? Are you afraid? Have you received a disheartening medical report? God forewarns us that in this word we will have tribulation, meaning difficult times. Then He tells us to rejoice, not because of the difficult situations we are passing through, but that in Him we have the victory. One step to walk in this victory is to declare God’s Word over the situation. Try this, it will help you to strengthen your faith for God’s protection.

According to the Word of the Lord, I declare what I already possess over myself, and my family and friends in the mighty name of Jesus. And so now, I do declare that I dwell in the shelter of the Most High, I rest in the shadow of the Almighty, He is my refuge, my fortress, and my God, and I trust Him, (Psalm 91:1-2). The Lord is faithful, He will strengthen and protect me from the evil one, (2 Thessalonians 3:3). God is my refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble, (Psalm 46:1). He is my hiding place, and will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance, (Psalm 32:7).

I sing to God, I sing in praise of His name, I extol Him who rides on the clouds, I rejoice before Him – His name is the Lord. A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy dwelling, (Psalm 68:4-5). I cast my cares on the Lord and He sustains me, He will never let the righteous be shaken, (Psalm 55:22). I will lie down in peace and sleep, for He alone makes me dwell in safety, (Psalm 4:8).

The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1). I walk securely, because I walk in integrity, (Proverbs 10:9). I am prudent, I see danger and take refuge, (Proverbs 27:12). He is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for me because I trust in Him, (Nahum 1:7). He keeps me in perfect peace, my mind is steadfast, because I trust in Him, (Isaiah 26:3).

The Lord does not take me out of this world but He protects me from the evil one, (John 17:15). Because I trust in the Lord and do good I can dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture, (Psalm 37:3). The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe, (Proverbs 18:10). He will cover me with His feathers, and under His wings I will find refuge; His faithfulness will be my shield and rampart, (Psalm 91:4).

Has the Devil Hacked Your Spiritual Bank Account? Part 3

In part 1 and part 2 we discussed how the devil can hack into your spiritual bank account in the areas of forgiveness of iniquities, healing of diseases, redemption from a life of destruction, and stealing lovingkindness and tender mercies from your crown. Today we are going to discuss how he fills our mouths with good things.  Who satisfies your mouth with good things,” Psalm 103:5.

Luke 6:45 says, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.”

The heart and the mouth are powerful instruments in the realm of faith. The mouth proclaims what is in the depths of the spiritual heart. Romans 10:8-10 confirms this and gives deeper insight to their purpose:

But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

According to this portion of Scripture, the heart believes and the mouth confesses. What does the heart believe? It believes unto righteousness–justification or right standing with God. And what does the heart confess? Confession is made unto salvation, and according o our word study in Chapter 2 this word salvation is holistic and includes healing of the spirit, soul, and body.

In Psalm 103:2-5, one of the benefits we are to remember is that He satisfies our mouths with good things. We are to take these good things and impart them to others, like faith for eternal life with Jesus, faith for deliverance from demonic oppression or possession, or faith for physical healing to name a few of the good things.

Let’s focus in on the spiritual purpose of the mouth in regard to physical healing. Now, the devil does not want us to share these good things with others. In fact, he is downright nasty, and he wants us to keep quiet about the glory of our Lord. One way he will try to gag us is with physical weapons of sickness and disease against the mouth. It is a challenge to be a mouthpiece for the Lord when your mouth is swollen or full of sores or inflicted with some other type of illness. It makes it laborious to speak out loud when the mouth is sick.

Last year, a couple of days before I would minister, my tongue would break out with canker sores. At first, I thought it was because I was dehydrated from the plane ride, and from a human standpoint it was a logical explanation. The second time it happened, I started to wonder if this was spiritual, and not physical because I made sure I drank plenty of water before, during, and after the flight. The third time it happened, I knew without a doubt I was under attack.

To break this demonic attack against the power of my tongue, my good friend Palma and I entered into a time of prayer and fasting. The stronghold was broken, and I did not have this problem again.

Another minister, Margie from Ocala, Florida, suffered from severe gum diseae. She could not eat or even touch her teeth lightly together without serious pain. But the message she heard taught at the healing service resonated deep within her spirit, she put the message of faith to the test and activated her faith. She started to bite down on her teeth. To Margie’s delight, her gums and teeth were instantly healed in Jesus’ name.

No matter how we were attacked by the enemy, we continued to confess with our mouths what we believed in our hearts to be true about the goodness of te Lord’s salvation to the people. When we were in need, we both received supernatural healing in our mouths as well.

I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart; I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation; I have not concealed Your lovingkindness and Your truth from the great assembly, Psalm 40:10.

Has the Devil Hacked Your Spiritual Bank Account? Part 1

Has the devil hacked into your spiritual bank account? Has he stolen your heavenly benefits given to you by Jesus? I guess before we can rightly answer these questions we need to remind ourselves just what are our spiritual benefits. Let’s look to Psalm 103: 2-5 to find out.Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases,Who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. This is quite the list, let’s examine the first 3 today.

1. He forgives our iniquities. Iniquities means perversity, depravity or sin. How could the enemy steal your forgiveness? Number one, he can’t steal your forgiveness, but he will twist God’s promise to forgive to get you to believe you are not forgiven or cannot be forgiven. How does he do this? By whispering falsehoods to your mind until you accept his lies that God holds confessed sins against you. But according to 1 John 1:9, If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” How do we take back what satan has hacked from our account concerning forgiveness? We have to make a quality decision to rightly judge God’s character– He does not lie and correctly divide the Word of God and call satan what he truly is–a liar, and then make the all important choice to believe–God is truth.

You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it, John 8:44.

“God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” Numbers 23:19.

2. He heals all our diseases. To heal means to cure, repair or to make whole. And Jesus healed us from all disease when He shed His blood for us at the whipping post. Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken,  smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed,” Isaiah 53:4-5.

How does satan steal our healing from us? There are many ways he does this but it is always through the way of doubt and unbelief. And what does it say in James 1:6-8 regarding doubt? But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;  he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

And do as Sarah does in Hebrews 11:11,By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised.”

There comes a point in each of our lives when we have to face the fact, we either believe or we don’t. Some people have hearts that are very soft and pliable to the ways of the Lord and therefore, they readily believe the promise of God for healing and immediately receive. While others have issues that need to be worked through in order for them to believe and receive their miracle from God. But either way, God is patient and longsuffering with us and is willing to work with us wherever we are at spiritually. So I encourage you to work on your faith level–study God’s healing promises until His promise to heal is more real to you than the disease attacking your being.

3. He redeems our life from destruction. Destruction means corruption, the grave, and the pit of Hell. And redeem means to avenge and to pay ransom. To avenge is to inflict harm on behalf of (oneself or someone else previously wronged or harmed). And Jesus definitely did so for us at Calvary. And He paid ransom with His blood to redeem us from the clutches of the enemy.

How can the enemy steal this redemption from people? By causing them not to believe and receive this plan of redemption that He so richly gave to us.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16.

Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3.

The Lord does not delay [as though He were unable to act] and is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is [extraordinarily] patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9, AMP.

The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9-10 that, “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.1 John 5:13-14.

Ultimately, it is your decision to receive or to reject His plan of redemption. I pray you will make the right choice and believe and receive Jesus as your Savior this day.

In closing, in order to prevent satan from stealing our benefits, or to take back what he has stolen from us we have to make a decision with each of the benefits to believe God’s Word and live according to the faith we have in His ways. It’s our decision to believe or not, but wisdom tells us that God’s ways are best for us and for those around us. We will continue on in activating our spiritual benefits in the next post. For now, make sure you do your part in these first 3 benefits–believe and receive them.

4 Major Hindrances that Block Healing

You believe it’s God’s will to heal you. You’ve been prayed for, and the Church elders have anointed you with oil. You’ve done all that you know to do. Now what? What could possibly hinder your healing from manifesting? Let’s come up with a checklist to see what might possibly be hindering your healing.

  1. Lack of true revelation concerning healing could hinder your healing from manifesting. What do I mean by lack of true revelation. For instance, you’ve heard amazing testimonies of others being healed, so you know God heals today. But even still, you are not fully convinced that He wills to heal all people, all the time, of all sickness and disease. And you’re even more unsure if he wills to heal you personally. Until this true revelation comes you will lack the confidence to believe without a shadow of a doubt. James 1:6 tells us,But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.” Let’s continue on with this point about hindrance. And just how does this true revelation come? This question leads us to our next point of study.
  2. Another hindrance could be a lack of the healing word. So often God’s people do not read and study the Word of God, so their faith is weak. Or they are not focused in their study. I find satan is a mastermind at distracting God’s people from what they need to be focused on. If you want healing to manifest you need to zero in on His healing word. Now is not the time to study finances, but healing and healing only. Stay on target until you hit the bullseye–healing. The Bible is clear about how faith comes. It tells us in Romans 10:17, So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
  3. More often then not, you block your own healing by the faithless words that you speak. And you often speak these faithless confessions without realizing it. You need to change the way in which you speak. You must speak faith for healing, no matter what the circumstance looks like. Proverbs 18:21 teaches us that, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].”
  4. Another common hindrance would be your actions, or lack of them. If your actions do not line up with faith, you will stop your miracle from manifesting. Faith without works is dead, and dead faith is no faith. Your actions must line up with the Word of God.Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead,” James 2:17.

These are 4 major hindrances that will block your healing from manifesting. And they need our constant attention when activating our faith for a miracle.

What Does it Mean to be Born-Again?

Q: What does it mean to be born-again?

Perhaps you’ve heard others speak of being born-again, and you don’t understand what they mean by this term.

“There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”

Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”

Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Nicodemus answered and said to Him, “How can these things be?” (For the full account of Nicodemus read John 3: 1-21).

Perhaps, you are like Nicodemus, and you do not know what it means to be born-again. There was a time in my life I did not understand this either, but I wanted to understand. And that is when someone shared the Good News of Jesus with me, like I am with you.

Someone that has been born-again first believes in their heart and then confesses with their mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”, Jn. 3:16. And Romans 10:8-10 explains this to us, “But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

And they pray to Him, and Him only, and repent or ask Him to forgive them of their sins, (wrong thoughts and actions). When we pray for salvation or for any other reason we pray to Jesus only. “Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them”, Heb. 7:25.

We are to be honest to God and confess our sins to Him, and then He does what only He can do, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”, 1 Jn. 1:9.

You say to yourself, “But I’m not a sinful person. I’m good, honest, kind and considerate of others.” You may be a good natured person, but the Bible says the following about all people in this matter. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”, Rom. 3:23.  Because of the original sin with Adam and Eve, we live in a fallen world and are all born into sin, “Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned—“, Rom. 5:12.

But we have a High Priest in Jesus who understands all of our shortcomings. “For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin”, Heb. 4:15. And He loves us so much, “that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us”, Rom. 5:8.”

The beauty of Salvation is this, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new”, 2 Cor. 5:17. And nothing or no one can separate us from His love, “neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord”, Rom. 8:38-39.

When we truly repent from a sincere heart He does not hold our sins against us, “For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us”, Ps. 103: 11-12.

By the redemptive blood of Jesus your sins have been washed away and your spirit has become clean, “Come now, and let us reason together,” says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool”, Is. 1:18.

And let’s end with this final verse from Revelation 3:5, “He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.” Is your name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life?

Ask yourself the following questions now.

  1. Do I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the one and only way to salvation?
  2. Have I invited Jesus Christ to be my Lord and Savior?
  3. Have I prayed and asked Him to forgive me of my sins?
  4. Am I sure that my name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life?

If you can answer yes to these questions above you are born-again. You are a member of God’s eternal family. You will inherit eternal life. And yes, your name is written down in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

A PRAYER OF SALVATION

Father God,

I come humbly before You, not with fancy words, but with a believing heart and I confess that I do believe that Jesus is the One and only way to Salvation. Apart from Him, there is no other way to the Father.

I ask You, Jesus, to be my Savior, forgive me for all my sinful thoughts and actions. I thank You for this forgiveness, and that You do not hold these sins against me.

And I am truly grateful that I am now a member of Your eternal family, my name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, and nothing or no one can separate me from Your unconditional love for me.

Holy Spirit, teach me, guide me in the ways of God. Help me to understand all that He has for me.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

Magnify God Not the Sickness

When it comes to a stubborn sickness that does not want to let go, we need to make sure we turn our focus on God’s promise to heal and not on the sickness. We have to purpose in our heart to magnify God with our words and actions and not the symptoms.

Why? Because when we magnify something we enlarge it visually so we can clearly see the minute details. How do we magnify sickness? We do so with our spoken words, and even with our moans and groans. In a way, it is a form of praise that empowers the sickness to reign over our mortal bodies.

Instead of giving strength to the sickness attacking our body, we should magnify the Creator, and Healer of our body, Jesus Christ. Taking hold of our confession of our faith, purposefully declare the promises of God that activate His healing power in our physical body.

No matter how bad the situation appears, speak words of healing such as; “I believe in the healing power of the blood of Jesus, and by His sufferings at the whipping post, I am healed.” And continue on to declare His healing promises, “According to Genesis 1:28, I have been given dominion over every living creature, including sickness and disease which are tiny microscopic living organisms that move. But I will no longer magnify them with my words and actions, but I will exercise my God given authority over them, (see Luke 10:19) and dominate and subdue them in Jesus’ name.

I choose to honor God, and boldly speak forth that Jesus is Lord of my body, not this sickness. I surrender to Jesus, and not these symptoms. I magnify the greatness of my Messiah, Yeshua and meditate on His goodness, His promise to heal in spirit, soul, and in body. I will to magnify God, and not sickness, disease, or symptoms this day, and forevermore, amen.”

Don’t Be a Spiritual Fruitcake

During the Christmas season many share and enjoy a rich, traditional delight called fruitcake. A fruitcake consists of a variety of textures, colors and flavors. Generally, fruitcake is a mixture of fruits and nuts with just enough batter to hold them together, and if kept in a tightly closed tin, a fruitcake may be kept for months or even years.

But fruitcake is also a negative label given to individuals whose ideas, speech, and actions are wacky, and unappealing to others around them. As Christians, we want to avoid becoming a spiritual fruitcake.

A spiritual fruitcake is one who lacks balance between the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. They are filled with zeal for the moves of the Spirit, but have not developed understanding and wisdom that come from the Word.

In this post I am going to give a simple recipe to follow so that we can preserve our witness for life.

Ingredients:

1. Word of God – Add a generous amount daily.

It says in Joshua 1:8-9,  This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

2. Living Waters  – Mix with the Word of God.

Jesus says in John 7:37-39,  If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.  He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.”

3. Redemption – We must carefully follow the instructions listed in Romans 10:9-13. There is only one way to add this ingredient. “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Because in Ephesians 1:7  it clearly tells us, “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;”

4. Relationship – This ingredient takes time to cultivate. David cried out in Psalm 42:1-2,  As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?”

5. Revelation  – As the other ingredients listed above are cultivated this special ingredient will naturally supernaturally come. This truth is revealed to us in 1Corinthians 2:14, But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned”

6. Living Word  – If above ingredients are mixed well, your batter will come alive. It says in Hebrews 4:12, For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

7. Consistency – You need to double check your batter on a regular basis to see if it is right. It says in 2 Corinthians 13:5a to,Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.”

8. Balance – We must take the time to weigh the batter to see if we have balance. Ecclesiastes 3:1 encourages us that, “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.”

9. Fruits of the Spirit – It is very important to carefully add all the Fruits of the Spirit into the batter. These fruits are listed in Galatians 5:22-23, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

10. Gifts of the Spirit – These are added as the Holy Spirit wills for the benefit of all. 1Corinthians 12:8-10 lists the gifts that the Holy Spirit will be adding, For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:”

The batter is the base of the recipe and it holds the other ingredients in their place. The Word of God is our spiritual batter and it holds every area of life together. In order to have a good batter we need to read and study the Word of God 365 days / year.

A batter needs to have the right consistency, so we need to carefully measure our ingredients. The amount of liquid determines the consistency of the batter. A runny batter has too much liquid and not enough solids and can’t hold other ingredients together. A thick batter has too much solid and lacks sufficient liquid and is difficult to work with.

We need the Living Waters, the redemptive blood of Jesus Christ and His power, the Holy Spirit freely flowing in our lives. If we have the Word of God only, then we have religion. But when we have relationship with our Redeemer, Jesus Christ and the revelation of the Holy Spirit, the Word of God becomes the Living Word.

The Fruits of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance add the balance that is needed to preserve a good witness throughout our lifetime.

And added at the right time a mixture of the Gifts of the Spirit, a word of wisdom, a word of knowledge, faith, gifts of healings, working of miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, diverse kinds of tongues, and the interpretation of tongues, will add the variety of textures, colors and flavors needed to draw others to Christ and His ways through us.

Working with this recipe will prevent us from becoming spiritual fruitcakes and will enhance the variety of textures, colors and flavors that we’ve been given that will preserve our testimony of God’s grace upon our lives.
