To help you and your loved ones heal I have shared with you a prayer of faith that you pray for someone else, and a confession of faith that you speak over yourself for healing from high cholesterol.

Prayer of Faith

In the name of Jesus, I renounce this spirit of premature death attacking your heart. I release the healing power of His blood to flow through your heart to cleanse, heal, and make it whole again so that it functions to perfection. The excess cholesterol and other deposits on the walls of your arteries and fatty deposits in your blood vessels dissolve and are supernaturally eliminated from your system so that enough blood can flow through your arteries. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

Confession of Faith

With the power of the spoken Word (Gen. 1), I activate the power of life and death in my tongue (Prov. 18:21) and I decree a wall of protection between the effects of high cholesterol and my health and wellbeing. I release the healing power of the Lord (Ps. 30:2) to heal and make my heart whole again. I renounce the excess cholesterol and other deposits on the walls of my arteries and fatty deposits in my blood vessels and command them in the name of Jesus to dissolve and to be supernaturally cleansed from my system so that enough blood can flow through my arteries. In Jesus’ name I declare by faith I am healed (Isa. 53:4-5). Amen.

A Confession of Faith to Combat the Enemy’s Lies that Block Your Healing

Are you believing the lies of the enemy? Do you struggle to believe that God loves you? Do you feel like He has some master plan to harm you? The truth of the matter is that God is not against you, but unless you know the promises in His Word you will believe the enemy’s lies. To help you overcome the lies concerning God’s will and ability to heal you, I have written up the following confession of faith to combat the enemy’s lies that block your healing.

In the name of Jesus’, I am loved (Rom. 5:6), and loved unconditionally (2 Tim. 2:13), I am adopted (Rom.8:15), God is my Father, and I am His child (2 Cor. 6:18), I am not alone (Heb. 13:5), God is always with me (Matt. 28:20).

God thinks about me (Jer. 29:11). His precious thoughts about me outnumber the sands of the earth (Ps. 139:17). I am valuable to Him (Matt. 10:31), and He says that I am chosen, royal, holy, and special to Him (1 Pet. 2:9).

I judge God faithful (Heb. 11:11), truthful (Num. 23:19), just (Deut. 32:4), able (Rom. 4:21), willing (Matt. 8:3), and faithful to heal me (1 Thess. 5:24).

I have been redeemed from the hand of the enemy (Ps. 107:2)—the thief, the devil who comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy (John 10:10)—and loosed from the contents within his hand, the curse (Gal. 3:13), and delivered from the spirit of fear and the power of death (Heb. 2:14-15; 2 Tim. 1:7).

I believe in my Lord, Jesus Christ, Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals (Ex. 15:26), and in the power of His blood to heal me (1 Pet. 2:24).

I find comfort in knowing that He bore my griefs, carried my sorrows and pains, was wounded for my transgressions, crushed for my wickedness, the punishment for my well-being fell upon Him, and by His wounds I am healed (Isa. 53:4-5).

I take my God-given authority (Luke 10:19), and with the power of life and death in my words (Prov. 18:21), I renounce this spirit of death attacking me and my family, and I release the spirit of life to flow through my every cell, tissue, organ and system to cleanse, purify, heal, recreate, and make me whole again in spirit, soul (mind and emotions), and in my physical body too, in Jesus’ name, amen!

Quote this confession of faith, no less than 3 times per day, get it deep into your spirit, and allow the power of His healing word to have its way in you.

Healing Confession of Faith from PTSD

With the constant onslaught of chaos and recent tragedies I sense in my spirit that it is time for me to write up a healing confession of faith from PTSD. So that you have spiritual help during a very deep and dark place you have found yourself this day. Take these words and pray them from your heart daily and allow the healing power of God’s promises to mend your broken spirit.

Father God, as David did in Psalm 18:6, “In my distress I call upon the Lord, and cry to my God for help.” (NKJV).

You say, “You heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds,” (PS. 147:3, NKJV). So, in my great distress, I submit myself to Your healing promise that states, “You sent Your word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions,” (PS. 107:20, NKJV). Lord Jesus, I lay my burden down at Your precious feet, I can’t do this on my own, I need Your “Steadfast love that never ceases, and your mercies that never come to an end,” (LAM. 3:22, ESV).

“Be gracious to me, O Lord, for to You I cry all day long,” (PS. 86:3, NKJV). You promise in Psalm 91:15, “He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.” (NKJV) Oh Lord, I need this promise activated in my life. I have tried but can’t seem to get myself unstuck, I need You to “Lift me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire.” I also need You to, “Set my feet on a rock and give me a firm place to stand,” (PS. 40:2, NIV).

Apostle Paul writes in 2 Timothy 1:7 that “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (NKJV). But in all honesty, I confess that I struggle with great fear, I feel powerless, and my mind is not sound at this time. I feel like I am back in that dark, dank prison that Paul was locked up in back in Rome. Although my prison may not be physical, I am bound up by invisible chains of flashbacks, nightmares, severe anxiety, and uncontrollable thoughts about these horrific events that took place in my life. But despite these fears and feelings, I hear that You came to set the captives free, (IS. 61:1), and that You do not expect me to do this in my own strength, but by Your Spirit, (Zeph. 4:6), and as I confess these faults to others I can be healed, (JMS 5:16).

By faith I thank You that You will never leave me or forsake me, (DEUT. 31:6), You are with me in the waters, and in the midst of the fire, (IS. 43:2-3), and even when I walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Death, (PS. 23:4). You are compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love towards me, (PS. 103:8). I am forever grateful that Your love for me is unconditional, and not based upon my behavior, (ROM. 5:8), and because You are with me, I can be strong, courageous, unafraid, and not discouraged, (JOSH. 1:9).

Help me, Holy Spirit to walk by faith, and not by sight, (2 COR. 5:7), comfort me, (JN. 14:26), remind me that when I feel weak, You remain strong, (Joel 3:10), empower me, (Acts 1:8), pray the will of God through me, (ROM. 8:26-27), teach me to edify and build myself up by praying in Your Spirit, (1 COR. 14:4).

Help me to renew my mind with Your healing Word, (2 COR. 4:16), to take every thought captive, (2 COR. 2:5), to choose my thoughts with care, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” (PHIL. 4:8, KJV).

Enlighten me to Your truth, so that I can be free, (JN. 8:32). Help me to understand that I do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against demonic forces, (EPH. 6:12), and that it was satan who attacked me and my loved ones, to steal, to kill, and to destroy, (JN. 10:10), but You have given me all of Your authority over satan and his wicked works, (Luke 10:19). Teach me how to put on the full armor of God, so I am prepared for future battles with him, (EPH. 6: 10-18).

When I feel I can’t go on, “Hear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth, I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” (PS. 61:1-2, NKJV). Quicken to my spirit that, “Yet in all these things I am more than a conqueror through Him who loves me.” (ROM. 8:37, NKJV). Give me the strength to always “Choose life”, (DEUT. 30:19), and to take comfort in the fact that You, Jesus came to give me life, and life in abundance. (JN. 10:10). In Jesus’ name, I pray this healing confession of faith from PTSD, amen.

Confession of Faith for Recreated Healed Heart

In the name of Jesus’, my Healer, I renounce this spirit of death that is coming against my heart and the heart of those that I love. I curse this congenital heart defect. I release the creative power of the blood of Jesus to flow in the structure of the heart to recreate it so that it can function perfectly normal, amen.

I stand in faith against Coronary artery disease, and release the healing power of our Lord Jesus Christ to flow through my arteries to cleanse them from plaque buildup, so that my blood can flow freely throughout my heart muscle.

I prophesy words of faith over my heart, and I declare that I no longer suffer from heart arrhythmia. I speak words full of life into my electrical system that it is recreated, and strengthened. And not only is my heart recreated and beating better than normal, but it supersedes all expectations and negative reports spoken over it.

I renounce all viruses, bad bacteria, parasites (natural or manmade), I declare what I already have–a recreated heart, that functions properly on its own with no defects, weaknesses, diseases, or irregularities. My heart is the right shape and size for my body and pumps life, health and strength throughout my entire body.

I praise my Lord that I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD, Psalm 118:17, in Jesus’ most holy name I confess these words of faith for a recreated and healed heart, amen.

A Confession of Faith for Healing from MS

Multiple Sclerosis is a debilitating disease that attacks the brain, spine and the central nervous system in general. It’s a weapon of the enemy to steal, to kill, and to destroy people. (See John 10:10.) But our Lord created our bodies, and He knows how to fix them, and He is willing to heal them.

Jesus tells us in John 10:10 (NKJV), “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

In Exodus 15:26 (NKJV), God says of Himself, “For I am the Lord who heals you.?

Let us exercise our faith and trust in our Healer, and speak this confession of faith for healing from MS. Speak it aloud over yourself or loved one for their deliverance and healing from Multiple sclerosis.

In Jesus’ name, I renounce this spirit of death and MS that is attacking my brain, spinal cord and the central nervous system in general. I command this and the power behind it out of my body. I command that my immune system stop attacking the protective sheath (myelin) that covers my nerve fibers. I speak restorative and creative miracles into this protective sheath, that where this myelin is missing it is recreated, and that the communication between my brain and the rest of my body, and my nerves and central nervous system are restored in Jesus’ name, amen and amen.

A Confession of Faith Against Parasites

A confession of faith against parasites, both natural and manmade is urgently needed for the times we are living in. So right now, I voice activate the power of life and death given to me in the power of my words (See Proverbs 18:21.) and I declare in the name of Jesus’, the name that is higher than any other (See Philippians 2:9-11.) His promise of protection over me that no weapon formed against me shall prosper. (See Isaiah 54:17.) I call upon the Great Shepherd (See John 10:11.) and voice activate the power of His staff to beat off the enemies that surround me and desire to devour me. And though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death on this earth I will not fear satan’s evil created against me, for my Lord’s rod and staff will protect me. (See Psalm 23:4.)

I decree a wall of protection between me and my family from this spirit of death and its parasites, both natural and humanmade. I declare that I am not a host, a safe place, or a food source for them, nor am I a nursery for their eggs. I voice activate the authority of Christ that I have been given (See Luke 10:19) and nothing, including these parasites being injected into the human race shall hurt me and my loved ones.

I am a temple of the Holy Spirit, and I will not share His temple in me with the spirit of death, viruses, parasites and their eggs. No, they cannot and will not inhabit this holy place reserved for the Spirit of the Living God. And if they have entered into my being I hereby give them an eviction notice immediately. I say, “Get out in the name of Jesus!”

I take this a step further, and I use the supernatural power of death in my tongue and release faith-filled words of death and destruction into the very center of their being. They self-destruct, dissolve, and are eliminated from my body by the power of the blood of Jesus living in me. Not one of their cells, molecules or tentacles may survive in my body. I am supernaturally cleansed, delivered and healed from this spirit of death, its viruses, parasites and their eggs. I declare this confession of faith over me and my loved ones in the most holiest of names–Jesus Christ, amen and amen.

Confession of Faith Against Crohn’s Disease

Many people, including God’s people are suffering from digestive diseases such as Crohn’s disease. It’s time for us to get pro-active against these attacks of the devil. Jesus is very clear in John 10:10 that the devil is the thief, and he only comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy us. And God’s Word teaches us the power of our words in Proverbs 18:21, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.” Brothers and sisters, it is time for us to active our faith with faith-filled words and stop the power of these devilish attacks against our bodies, and activate the healing power of the Blood of Jesus. Here is a confession of faith against Crohn’s disease.

In the name of Jesus’, I bind the strongman of death, disease, and Crohn’s disease from stealing my health, killing my body, and destroying my life, I loose the abundant life of Jesus to flow through my digestive tract. I prophesy in the name of the Lord that I am free from abdominal pain, inflammation, severe diarrhea, fatigue, weight loss, and malnutrition. I decree the healing promise of the stripes of the Lord in Isaiah 53:4-5 deep into the layers of my bowel tissue. And by my faith in the healing power of the Lord, I am healed and made whole, amen.

Confession of Faith for Protection from Coronavirus

With all the media hype about the Coronavirus people are frightened. In fact, this has gone beyond the basic fear factor, and stepped into the realm of hysteria. But should we, God’s people, allow the enemy to terrorize us?

Let’s talk briefly about our enemy. First, we will draw our attention to the basic definition of an enemy, “A person who feels hatred for, fosters harmful designs against, or engages in antagonistic activities against another; an adversary or opponent.” Jesus makes it very plain in John 10:10 the devil’s battle plan against us. “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” And he uses this virus and all other forms of sickness and disease to harm us.

Do I believe that this Coronavirus comes from God? No, I do not believe that God puts sickness and disease on us to punish us, humble us or to draw us closer to Him. That’s a works mentality, living under the old law, and makes the redemptive blood of Jesus powerless. God is not our enemy. He sent His Son, Yeshua to redeem us. He delivers and rescues us from all forms of sickness and disease. He purchases healing and health for our physical bodies by the payment of His blood at Calvary. “He personally carried our sins in His body on the cross [willingly offering Himself on it, as on an altar of sacrifice], so that we might die to sin [becoming immune from the penalty and power of sin] and live for righteousness; for by His wounds you [who believe] have been healed”, 1 Peter 2:24. AMP.

Why are passing through these trying times? Jesus tells us the reason for this in John 16:33, “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]“ AMP. Yes, we are all passing through trying times, and we will have to all choose to exercise our faith and fight the good fight of faith. But the good news in all of this is Jesus already fought the battle and we win!

Do I believe we are living in the last days? Yes, I do. But even still, God has not left us powerless. He has given to us all His authority over our enemy, satan and over all of his wicked works–including this Coronavirus. This is what He promises us in Luke 10:19 from the Amplified Version of the Bible, “Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you.” He has empowered His followers with His authority over this and all virus’.

And we can be rest assured that He is not going to back down from His Blood Covenant with His people. I love the security we have in our Lord and Savior. And I often tell Him so. I say to Him, “Thank You, You are the Lord, You do not change (MAL. 3:6). You are the same yesterday, today and forever (HEB. 13:8). You, God are not a man, that You should lie, Nor a son of man, that You should repent. Have You said, and will You not do? Or have You spoken, and will You not make it good? (NUM.23:19). If I am faithless, You remain faithful; You cannot deny Yourself. (2 TIM. 2:13). The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of my God stands forever.” (IS. 40:8). We have the blessing of security that God will not break His promises to us. Healing, deliverance, divine protection and provision will never be removed from the Blood Covenant.

Let’s look at real-life situation about God’s protection from the spirit of death. Remember the testimony of Moses and the Israelites, and the 10 plagues that came upon the earth because the Pharaoh refused to listen to the prophetic message from Moses to let God’s people go? And how God made a way of escape for them from the spirit of death with the 10th plague. What were they to do? They were to paint the blood of a lamb over the doorposts of their homes. And when the spirit of death came to the door if the blood of a lamb had been applied it could not enter into that household. It would back away and look for another victim that did not apply the protection of the blood of a lamb over their household.

And this all happened under the law of Moses, the Old Covenant, but we have a better Covenant, the New Testament. Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, paid the full price for our redemption with His shed blood at Calvary. But we must apply the all-powerful Blood of Yeshua over our lives. How do we do this? By faith. And this faith is voice activated. Romans 10:9-10 reveals how this is voice activated, “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.“ Along with eternal life, Salvation includes healing and deliverance.

And right now, we are going to spiritually paint with words of faith– divine protection, health and healing over our lives and the lives of our loved-ones from the Coronavirus.

A CONFESSION OF FAITH FOR PROTECTION AGAINST THE CORONAVIRUS

In Your name Jesus, I renounce the spirit of death and this Coronavirus that has come to steal, to kill, and to destroy us (JN 10:10). And by the healing virtue of Your Holy Word, I apply the power of Your Blood over myself and my family. I declare that No weapon formed against us shall prosper (IS. 54:17), no evil will befall us, nor will any plague come near our dwelling (PS. 91:10).

You, Lord are faithful, who will establish us and guard us from the evil one (2 THESS. 3:3). But You also gave us Your authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt us (LK. 10:19). You created us in Your image, as Jesus is so are we on this earth. And you gave us dominion over every living thing that moves, including this virus (GEN. 1:26-28, 1 JN. 4:17).

Lord, You are our refuge when we are oppressed, and in times of trouble. And we know Your name and we put our trust in You; for You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You (PS. 9:9-10). I will bless my Lord, O my soul, and forget not all Your benefits: who forgives all our iniquities, who heals all our diseases (PS. 103:2-3). And saves us from deadly pestilence (PS. 91:3).

Willingly, You bore our griefs, and carried our sorrows and pains, You were stricken, struck down and degraded and humiliated by the Father. You were wounded for our transgressions, crushed for our wickedness, [our sin, our injustice, and for our wrongdoing]; You were punished for our well-being, and by Your stripes (wounds) we are healed (IS. 53:4-5).

Lord God, Your Word teaches us that, Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words. PROV. 18:21. I surrender my tongue to you this day. I choose to speak life, and not death over myself and family. I declare by faith that we will not die but live and declare the works of the Lord (PS 118:17). And I declare that this coronavirus will die in my hands, and it cannot enter into my body. And if it already made its way in there without my knowing this virus dies and is eliminated from my body. I declare that my every cell, tissue, organ and system in my body are healed, made whole, strengthened, disease-free, and disease-proof for the glory of the Lord.

Lord God, I declare protection to the elderly and vulnerable members in my family. I stand on Your promise to give power to the weak, and to those who have no might You increase strength (IS. 40:29). And as we wait upon You Lord, You shall renew our strength; we shall mount up with wings as eagles; we shall run, and not be weary; and we shall walk, and not faint (IS. 40:31).

I choose to believe Your report that promises to heal me and my loved ones in spirit, soul and body (IS. 53: 1,4-5). I will obey Your counsel and believe Your promise, I will not fear, for You are with me; I will not be dismayed, for You are my God. I believe You when You say to me that You will strengthen me, Yes, You will help me, You will uphold me with Your righteous right hand (IS. 41:10).

I will be still and know that You are my God (PS. 46:10), You will keep me in perfect peace, because my mind is stayed on You, because I trust in You. (IS. 26:3). For the weapons of my warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ (2 COR. 10:4-5).

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord (JOSH. 24:15). Your word is hidden in our hearts (PS. 119:11), we will remain faithful and wise servants (MATT. 24:45-46), we choose Your joy for our strength (NEH. 8:10), we will love You, Lord with all our heart, soul and mind, and we will love our neighbor as we love ourselves (MATT. 22:37-39). We will reach out to those in need and release your healing power into those that are sick, and because we believe they will be healed (MK. 16:17-18).

I encourage you to use this confession of faith against the Coronavirus and pray it over yourself and your loved ones daily.

Consistency with Your Confession of Faith is the Key

Consistency with your confession of faith is the key when it comes to bringing your miraculous transformation to fruition.

If you are constantly whining and complaining you will not have a miraculous intervention. This is what the Israelites did. And because of it they ended up wandering around in the desert for 40 years when it was only an 11 day journey. They complained about everything and were thankful for nothing. Think about all that the Lord had done for them, supernaturally rescued them from their enemy, and provided for their every need. He provided supernaturally protection from plagues, and the spirit of death, and again by supernatural means gave them direction by a cloud in the daylight, and protection by a pillar of fire in the night, a made a way of escape for them from their enemy by parting the Red Sea, satisfied their thirst by pouring water from a rock, rained down fresh bread, and quail (meat) from heaven. Their clothing and their shoes did not even wear out. And all they could do was complain and accuse God and their leaders of evil intentions.

We read this and think to ourselves how spiritually blind they were, but we can act just like they did. God gives us everything we have need of and yet we allow our confession of faith to be filled with doubt and unbelief. How do we change this?

It is needful for us to repent for our willful and negative confessions of faith.
We need to ask forgiveness for the reason behind these negative words against our God and His readiness to meet our every need.
The next step is to ask Holy Spirit for His help to teach us to hear how negatively we speak against the promises of God.
And along with Holy Spirit’s help to hear how we speak, we need to ask Him to teach us how to speak with faith for our needs to be met.
We need to focus on the promise of God to meet our need, and not on the problem.
We need to make a quality decision to use the power of our words and speak God’s promises no matter what is going on in our bodies or the situations around us.
And we have to speak faith on a consistent basis, and not just once in a while.

If we will put these 7 principles into practice our confessions of faith will produce what they are meant to.

Is a Confession of Faith a Lie?

There is great confusion among believers in Christ as to whether or not a confession of faith is a lie. The ninth commandment tells us we are not to lie. Proverbs 12:22 plainly says. “Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight.” And a lying tongue is listed as one of the 7 sins God hates the most. “There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers” (Proverbs 6:16-19). From these 3 verses alone we can gather that lying is a serious sin, and God hates it, and we are to speak the truth.

But then we read verses such as Romans 4:17 that God says, “(as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;” Proverbs 18:21 clearly teaches us, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs 12:18 reveals right type of words bring forth healing, “There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.”

This sets my mind to thinking that there is a huge spiritual difference in the way in which words are being spoken. Some say it is a lie to say, “By His stripes I am healed”, (Isa. 53:5) when they still have physical symptoms of sickness upon them. But, with the story of Abram, later changed to Abraham, he was to call those things that are not as though they already were. No longer was he to confess that he was fatherless with his barren wife, Sari, later changed to Sarah.

The words that one speaks are so vital, that God changes Abram’s name to Abraham. So now, every time he introduces himself, “Hi, I’m Abraham.” He is actually declaring to everyone he meets, “Hi, I’m the father of many nations.” Now, from a carnal perspective that would be telling a lie. His wife was barren. They were elderly. He had one son with his wife’s servant, Hagar. One son, with another woman other than his wife still does not make him a father of many nations.

And God also changed Sari’s name to Sarah, so she would start to declare that she would give birth to nations, kings, prominent people would come from her womb. This too with natural reasoning would be consider a lie. She didn’t even have one child, let alone be the mother of nations and kings.

James 3: 1-11 warns about the power of the tongue, “My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment. For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body. Indeed, we put bits in horses’ mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body. Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things.

See how great a forest a little fire kindles! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind. But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening”

The power of the tongue either blesses or curses, creates or destroys ourselves, others, hopes, dreams, and future plans. So, what is a confession of faith for a healing or a miracle? Is it an arrogant lie? Is it a form of manipulation we use against God to try to get our way? No, it isn’t any of these explanations. What it is then?

A confession of faith for a healing or miracle is faith talk. It’s God’s form of speech. It’s supernatural vocabulary that produces what it declares. And it’s based on faith, and comes from the heart, it believes what it is saying. And I’ll take this deeper, and make it clearer. When we speak a confession of faith for a healing or miracle we are actually prophesying into the situation.

We read of this in Genesis 1: 3a, “And God said, Let there be light.” Another example of this is found in Ezekiel 37:4, “Again he said unto me, Prophesy to these bones, and say unto them, O you dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.” Jesus prophesies in John 11:43, “And when He thus had spoken, He cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.”

What happened when God prophesied in Genesis 1:3? Light manifested. And this is what happened when Ezekiel prophesied to the dry bones, “So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them.” (Ezekiel. 37:7-8). And when Jesus prophesied with a loud voice over Lazarus’ dead body it came back to life and walked out from the tomb.

We are not speaking out a lie when we declare a confession of faith for a healing or a miracle. We are activating the gift of prophesy. And according to 1 Corinthians 14:3, the purpose of prophesy is, “But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men.“

Today, make a quality decision that you will use the power of your words wisely, bless not curse yourself and others, create, build up, not destroy your body in the name of Jesus, and declare those things that are not as though they already are, “In Jesus’ name, I am healed.”
