Does Satan Fear You?

Does satan fear you? It’s actually a good question to ask ourselves. We are living in a day and age when he has many of God’s people living in fear of him, and fear what those that are controlled by him will do if they do as God would have them do. So I ask the question again, “Does satan fear you?”

What does God’s Word tell us about the character of the devil? In John 8:44 Jesus is very forthright about the enemy’s character and those that follow after him. He says, “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.” What’s the one thing a liar fears the most? The truth. To put it plain and simple, the devil is a liar. And if you are a bearer of truth he will fear you. Ephesians 4:25 confirms that we are to speak truth, “Therefore, laying aside falsehood, speak truth each one of you with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.”

The Bible also tells us that the devil is the accuser of the brethren in Revelation 12:10. We all know this to be true. How many times has the enemy tried to stop you from believing and obeying our Lord by whispering condemnation against us as to why we can not do this or that? And what does this Scripture from Revelation 12:10 actually say about this? “Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.” I’m telling you this is a truth that the enemy fears and does not like to be reminded about–use this verse liberally against him. He does not like to hear the end result of his rebellion against God and us.

And in John 10:10 Jesus does not meander around the bush when he says, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” Will you willfully allow a known thief to come into your house to steal, to kill and to destroy your family? Or will you fight him off and tell him to take a hike? This is exactly as we should do when the devil comes to near us to cause us harm. After all, Jesus empowered us with all of His authority over satan and all of his wicked works, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you”, Luke 10:19. If you are passive and unwilling to fight off the enemy he will walk all over you. But if he knows you will aggressively fight him, and you are determined and known to fight through to the victory he will fear coming against you.

And for those that are known to fight the good fight of faith until we reach the land of our manifested promise here is a word of caution. The enemy is sly old devil, and he will use twist the truth just enough to get you to believe him. That’s what happened in the Garden of Eden when he spoke to Eve and said that if she would take of the forbidden fruit she would be like God. The truth is that she and Adam were already created in the mirror image of God, but he twisted the truth a little bit to make it sound like the Gospel truth to her. (See Genesis 3.) Let’s look to a few of these divine warnings found in the Scriptures.

But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ, 2 Corinthians 11:13.

No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light, 2 Corinthians 11:14.

Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil, Ephesians 6:11.

I am going to ask the question one more time, “Does satan fear you?” He should, and you need to be in the position that he does. We are created in the mirror image of God, (see Genesis 1:26-28). We have been given all the authority in Christ to overcome satan and all of his wicked works, (see Luke 10:19). Activate your identity in Christ and all of His authority over these wicked attacks and make the devil fear you.

The World Needs the Healing Message

The world needs the healing message, and they need it now. And just what is this message that they need to hear? They need to hear that our heavenly Father is full and overflowing with compassion and mercy for them, and that He lovingly sent His willing and able Son, Jesus Christ to heal all people of all sickness and all disease–no exceptions.

Open up your spiritual eyes and allow your spirit to see through the eyes of His compassion. And so great is this compassion that He gave His only begotten Son to suffer and die in our place so that we could be healed in spirit, soul and in physical body. When is the last time you offered to pray in faith with someone for what ails them? Today would be a good day to begin a journey of God’s mercy for the lost and hurting people around you.

The world’s need for the healing message is tremendous. And you, a true believer in our Lord Jesus Christ has what it takes to deliver this message to them. Tell them with your words, “Jesus Christ is both able and willing to heal them from that sickness or disease.” Show them with your actions that you truly believe in this healing power and offer to lay your hand upon them and release the explosive power of Holy Spirit into them for their healing. Be bold and ask them to put their faith into action. In other words, ask them to do what they were not able to do before. It’s not as difficult as you have worked it up to be in your mind to be. The key ingredient is that you must believe.

The world is in such great need for this healing message that they are turning to everything else but the Lord for the answer. Why? Because the Church is being too quiet about healing. I say, “Break free from this lifestyle of doubt and unbelief. Read the Word of God concerning the healing message. Take a bold stance and begin to offer the world what they really have need of–healing of the spirit, soul (mind and emotions) and in their physical body.

The world is in dire need of this healing message and you’ve got what they need–healing in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Take Possession of the “I Can” Attitude

It’s time for the body of Christ to take possession of the “I Can” attitude. Why? Because the majority of God’s people walk around with a defeatist attitude. They’ve taken on the negative views of the world’s failures. And this is not how God designed His people to live. He created us to be creatures of faith, not negative beings filled with doubt and unbelief. When the enemy, satan is coming at us with a thousand reasons why he says we can’t accomplish that faith project, the Spirit of the Living God is quietly speaking to our hearts, “Oh yes you can!” It’s time for the body of Christ to take possession of the “I Can” attitude.

While the world is falling apart around us, how can you take on this “I Can” attitude? First of all, you have to understand where this “I Can” attitude comes from. It comes from God. And He created you in His mirror image– a supernatural faith-being. The moment you are born-again your spirit becomes reborn, and eternally bound to be with Him. You become His child endowed with a rich inheritance. You might be thinking to yourself, “What is this rich inheritance that I have been given?” Faith. Faith is the richest currency this world has ever seen. It is limitless because it it founded upon the redemptive blood of Jesus. Let your thoughts ponder upon these facts for awhile, “You are created in the image of God”, see Genesis 1:26-28. “You are a child of God”, see 1 John 3:1. And “You have been given a measure of faith”, see Romans 12:3.

When you are born again you surpass all the earthly boundaries such as; wealth, status, education… Your faith in Christ overrides all these limits, and you step into a new realm–the kingdom of God. And in His kingdom faith is the currency, the blood of Jesus is the gold that backs your faith, and your faith in action releases this limitless power of the blood into your situation. And it is in the reality of His arena that you can confidently take on this “I Can” attitude, because we know that “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”, Philippians 4:13. And with this “I Can” attitude you can activate that healing for your body through Christ who strengthens you. You can overcome this world’s economy of lack because Jesus gives you the supernatural strength of His faith to do as His Word tells us to “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you”, Luke 6:38. Whatever that mountain represents in your life that’s standing in your way you can move it by faith, see Mark 11:22-23.

This is the reason that you can remove the limitations placed upon you by this negative world and put on the “I Can” attitude and trust God to do the impossible in and through you. Learn to prophesy God’s promise from Philippians 4:13 over yourself and say aloud to yourself, and say this often over yourself, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Yes, it’s time for the Church to take possession of the “I Can” attitude for the glory of the Lord.

What Are the Conditions to that Promise of God?

Reread that promise of God to find out the conditions for the fulfillment of that promise. How do you know if there are any conditions? Look for the word, “If”. The promise of God hinges on your response to this little word, “If”. And let’s face it, we do not always appreciate this word as it implies a condition or a responsibility that must first be met. Let’s look for an example of this from the Scriptures.

As I read Proverbs 2 from New King James version this morning I see that there are three conditions to be met for His promise to manifest in our lives. Let’s look at these conditions more carefully.

Verse one tells us, “If you receive my words, and treasure my commands within you.” In verse three we see the second condition, “If you cry out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding.” And verse four gives us the third condition that we need to meet, “If you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures.” So as we review these conditions we see that our responsibilities start with a spiritual heart that is receptive and treasures God’s words. And then from the spiritual heart our desire for discernment and understanding must be voice activated. After we voice activate our desire then we must put our faith in action and actually seek and search for God’s wisdom. This confirms that the manifestation of many of God’s promises for us depend upon our response to the conditions of “If”.

After the conditions of “If” are laid out in the Scriptures we see the word “then”. What does it say in this example from Proverbs two? Starting with verse five we see the promises of “then” explained. “Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly; He guards the paths of justice, and preserves the way of His saints. Then you will understand righteousness and justice, equity and every good path.”

And after the word “then” comes the promise of “when”. Let’s look at verses ten and eleven, “When wisdom enters your heart, and knowledge is pleasant to your soul, discretion will preserve you; understanding will keep you.” And starting with verse twelve to verse twenty-one we read the benefits of “when” this promise is fulfilled.

And then it ends in verse twenty-two with the word, “But”. This is where a warning is issued to those that do not fulfill the conditions to this promise of God, “But the wicked will be cut off from the earth, and the unfaithful will be uprooted from it.”

As I stated throughout this article we need to look at the promises of God to find out if there are conditions and responsibilities that need to be met on our part for the promise to manifest in our lives–most often there are.

Today’s Sensitive Topic–Abortion

Father God,

You are well aware of this grievous sin of abortion that is running rampant within the Church today, and the consequences that it has unleashed within the body of Christ. I pray with those that are hurting from this sin of abortion that they will have the courage to admit what they have done and take the initial steps to forgiveness and eternal freedom with You. And I personally pray for the one that is reading this prayer that has partaken of this sinful act and is hurting. I pray that you will call out to God today, ask for forgiveness and allow the power of Holy Spirit to begin to heal your wounded soul. Open up your mind and emotions to the Lord today and allow Him to take that healing balm of Gilead and cleanse you of all the regret and shame, and begin to live again today.

In Jesus’ name I pray this over you,

Need Hope? Struggling with Depression?

Need hope? Struggling with depression? Many people are, including Christians. But the truth is, there is hope if you are struggling with depression.

As I share in my latest book, “Conquering the Spirit of Death”, depression has a strong link to the spirit of death. Like any other emotion, it can come upon anyone, but it’s a problem when it lingers. I believe it lingers when we live in the emotional realm of past hurts and disappointments. Reliving the painful moment over and over again is a trap of the enemy to bring us down to his level of defeat where he can easily cause further harm.

Reliving the pain of the past is like a cow regurgitating its food. It keeps coming back up. The enemy will use the pain of the past against us if we allow him to–don’t! Next time satan brings up these hurtful memories of the past, spit the memories out, tell the devil to leave you alone, and to be silent, because you are not going to chew on the cud of his negativity any longer.

Depression comes upon people for many reasons and not from past hurts only. What about living in crushing circumstances? In today’s society people are fighting just to hang onto their businesses, ministries, and dreams. And no matter how hard they fight they appear to be losing. And this is another way depression is taking hold of people today.

Depression is a pressing down of the spirit, it lowers the ability of the soul, the mind, and the emotions to carry us through life’s situations. It prevents the supernatural strength of joy to lift us up to higher ground with Jesus. It drains energy and strength from our entire being. It’s a life-stopper. Very troublesome things happen to everyone in this life, but it doesn’t mean we have to live in a depressed state forever.

There is hope to overcome depression–Jesus. Psalm 40:1-3 (NIV) tells us,

I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.

When I read these words, “He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire,” I get this image in my mind’s eye of a pit filled with quicksand and someone stuck in the middle of it. The more the person tries to get out in their own strength, the farther they sink. It’s a frustrating place to be because no matter what, the person continues to sink.

In order to escape this pit of sinking sand, you have to remain calm and still and allow someone to come and pull you out–rescue you. This is what Jesus, the Rock of our Salvation does for us. He extends His hand; and at that moment we have a choice to make: grab hold of it or reject His help. I pray you will grab hold of His hand today and accept His help–His hope and break free from this strong link of depression.

Let’s pray.

Dear Jesus,

As I reach out for Your help and grab hold of my Savior’s hand, I confess what You already know, “Yes, I struggle with depression.” Forgive me as I have allowed my thoughts to linger in the past hurts and in the present day situations. I have allowed the unrighteous acts of others to control my life to where I have stopped living life as You would have me to live–with joy. Help me to walk in forgiveness towards others that have caused such pain and suffering in my life. With Your help I believe that all things are possible, my situation too. Lead me in the plan of God that will see me through to the other side of what appears to be a hopeless situation. I accept Your help and will not try to walk this out on my own, but put my hope in you.

Healing Prayer for High Blood Pressure

Healing prayer for high blood pressure is what I want to impart to you this day. The reason being is that the stressors of the day are causing many people to struggle with high blood pressure right now. But even in the midst of these outside toxic stressors we can overcome these battles against our health. So right now before I continue on I prophetically release by words of faith, “Peace to your mind and emotions in Jesus’ name.”

Yes, the pressures are mounting as the daily events are increasingly troublesome. But along with the prophetic and healing power of our words there are things we can do to activate our faith for healing from high blood pressure. Let’s look at a few of these spiritual activities.

Open up the Word of God and read aloud portions of Scriptures that release peace and assurance to your mind and emotions. To help you get started in your healing from high blood pressure may I suggest to you to read through the following passages of God’s promises. Let’s begin with Psalm 91. This famous portion of Scripture releases security for those of us who choose to put our trust in our Redeemer. And again I reiterate to read these verse aloud so your physical ears hear these words of amazing faith. These sixteen verses are filled with promises of supernatural protection and deliverance. I encourage you to read and think upon these promises throughout the day. I even want you to take this a step further and commit to reading aloud this passage three times a day for the next week or two.

Another way to activate your faith today is to go on a prayer walk, and while you walk you pray. And I strongly suggest that as you pray during this walk instead of focusing on all that is wrong in this world, thank Him for His promises of protection and deliverance that you just read about in Psalm 91.

And as the events of this next week unfold before us, let us not fall into the temptation to run to the cupboard to grab a handful of unhealthy snacks that work against healthy blood pressure. But instead of this type of false comfort, let’s put our faith into action and drink a glass of water that actually helps to flush a build up of stress related toxins out of your body, and declare aloud the words from Psalm 91 over ourselves, our loved ones, and our nation.

Activating these spiritual and practical steps of faith will not only detox your physical being, but also your spirit.

Now I want to share with you a healing prayer for high blood pressure that I shared on my new account on GAB.com (@AuthorBeckyDvorak) just yesterday afternoon. “In the name of Jesus’ I release the healing power of Holy Spirit to flow through your every cell, tissue, organ and system and cleanse them from all impurities that are causing the blood pressure to be high. I speak peace to your mind and emotions and to your blood pressure and command the numbers to go down to the normal range, in Jesus’ name, amen and amen.”
